  1. I've just received vol. 9 of the Blu-ray, the last one ... until the movie that is. And I must say that the box it comes with is VERY nice!! Here's a link to a pic of what it looks like: http://www.macrossf.com/blog/%E3%83%9E%E3%...F9tokuten_A.jpg http://www.macrossf.com/blog/%E3%83%9E%E3%...F9tokuten_B.jpg
  2. According to yamato's latest newsletter: Q:「1/60 完全変形 VF-11B withスーパーパック」はいつ発売になりますか? A:お待たせして申し訳ございません! 新商品のお知らせでもご案内していますが、今月の29日となっております! 他の商品も同様に29日~30日には店頭に並ぶはずですので、いましばらく お待ち下さい。 And according to Google translate it means: Q: "1 / 60 complete deformation VF-11B with Super Pack" will release HAITSU? A: Sorry to keep you waiting! We also inform you of new products this month and 29 days! As well as other items 29 to 30 days, so it should hit store shelves for a while now Please wait. so it's either 29th or 30th...
  3. WOOW, the 22 looks nice!! The 19 variants look nice but... I agree a VF-X2 VF-19A would've been WAY better. The M7 license is in the hands of Yamato? Really??
  4. Perfect, thx. So it's nothing more than a marketing ploy. I guess we'll have to wait and see if we ever get a "Macross Chronicle Illustration" book like the one that was released for Evangelion Chronicles.
  5. Thx! Here are 3 pics I managed to take:
  6. Yup, did the search too and got the same results. I'll see if I can take a pic of it today. The additional cover stuff is in Japanese... import sold in Kinokuniya And I agree, an updated / vol. 2 version is needed butmaybe they're waiting to include the illustrations in Macross Chronicles...
  7. During lunchtime I found the book "Tenjin Hidetaka Art Works of Macross" in Kinokuniya, but I noticed it had something added around the cover that said Macross F. Since the books are shrinkwrapped, I couldn't check if it's a new version of just a way to link it to Macross F for sales purposes... does anybody have any info about this?
  8. Mine didn't lock as well... had to push it a bit harder until a "click" was heard. That doesn't happen to my VF-1J or VF-1S though.
  9. Great!! Nice to see that they're also making improvements to the 1/100 line!
  10. I'm glad they're releasing Alto's Armoured 25 next BUT... I'm very concerned that they're going to kill the 1/100 line with it. After the not-so-positive reviews and not-so-good-sales, IMO what this line needed were VF's that have not been produced yet and/or VF's that have had less than spectacular renditions in the past. First the VF's, THEN the variations, especially if you're going to make customers buy 3 of the same toy (1 normal, one with FP, one armoured). The VF-19 was a good move... but I guess they didn't have it ready on time. I just hope the line keeps going long enough for Bandai to produce the VF-171, VF-17 and VF-4 AT LEAST.
  11. NICE!!
  12. From ANN : Macross F Official Creator's Magazine Gets General Release Nyan-cretto, 3rd ongoing mag based on Macross anime, was sold at TAF last week -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Satelight anime studio has announced on Tuesday that it will offer its Macross F Official Creator's Magazine Nyan-cretto File 1 publication again for general sales. The issue includes materials from the various staffers of Macross Frontier, the 2008 television sequel to the Macross science-fiction romance franchise. Series creator Shoji Kawamori, character designer Yûichi Takahashi, series script supervisor Hiroyuki Yoshino, mechanical designers Junya Ishigaki and Takeshi Takakura, mechanical artist Hidetaka Tenjin, CGI director Hiroshi Yagishita, CGI animator Eiji Inomoto, and others contributed to the issue. Character designer Risa Ebata drew the cover illustration of the story's singers Ranka and Sheryl. The first issue of this magazine was previously sold at Satelight's booth at last week's Tokyo International Anime Fair 2009. More details about the magazine's reissue will be provided on Satelight's website. The magazine name "Nyan-cretto" is a wordplay on a Japanese word for "cat" (娘 or "nyan") that frequently appears in Macross, and a Japanese word for "secret" (秘 or "hi"). This magazine will be the third ongoing Macross magazine in Japan. Kadokawa Shoten published the inaugural issue of its Macross Ace manga magazine this past January. Shogakukan and We've, Inc. have been releasing Macross Chronicle, a biweekly reference publication devoted to the Macross franchise, since last July. link: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-...general-release
  13. Yup, at first I thought it was a painting error (it looked as if paint had been removed with thinner), but after touching it and checking it was some sort of oil, I cleaned it with a cloth. No more greasy VF-25. BTW, the "greasiest" so far has been the VF-25S.
  14. I don't think so... look at this: GX-14 Eva 01 Test Type 6.2003 XS-01 EVA 01 Test Type 1.2007 XS-03 EVA 01 Movie Version 9.2007 XS-01R EVA 01 Renewal Version 6.2008 4 versions of the Chogokin EVA-01; 3 are for the SPEC line and released within months of each other. Granted, one is the movie version but still... there are more examples like this. I do think we'll see some retools... there are minor changes already with the upcoming "more holes" version of the VF-25F
  15. VF-171! Yessss!! Nice to see Mr. K supervising the DX team... maybe he finally finished building all the model kits and now has time for the DX I think that with the feedback that Bandai is receiving and Kawamori's input, we'll see improvements in the line. The downside is... how many DX versions of the same VF can we buy?
  16. Yup, I do that... but after a while they shift to the position I showed in the pics
  17. The boosters in my VF-25G tend to stay like this after a while: I think I might not be attaching them correctly and that's why they're shifting... or are the boosters way too heavy? I've seen other pics and the boosters stay put so please help...
  18. My bad, I checked yesterday and it's not the April issue... I think it's the previous one but it's definitely from the review of Macross Ace that appeared in NewType.
  19. NewType magazine, april issue (the one with the pink Gundam on the cover )

  22. On a related note, I guess some of you like this magazine (like me) so : Release date: March 24th link: http://www.amazon.co.jp/%E3%83%95%E3%82%A3...2128&sr=1-3
  23. I just got mine yesterday and I haven't tried the stand BUT... even in the always-useful FlexiStand, it's a pain to balance the VF-25G because of the rifle. I guess I'll go with your improvised card holder!
  24. It actually includes the sniper rifle AND the standard gunpod... a nice bonus!
  25. A close-up of the leg armor:
