    ah got it. I figured since Alto 25F has been combined with supers and Ozma with armor since p-bandai exclusive attachments have not been offered since the WWM releases i figured if they are going to offer the ghosts again in a combined package for US/International customers. I wonder if the ghost will ever be released again in another package.

    the NR used on the ps5 will not make a noticeable difference. you won't be able to tell it's on or off. that's a placebo effect.

    @Graham and anyone using PS5 as a 4K player for first time: I came to realize after a few days, Sony engages the noise reduction by default and it needs to be turned off. It's a hard to find menu option that's only available only when you play a disc. There's a few other settings on the PS5 that need to be changed in the same menu. link: Here's how to turn it off. Hope it helps someone.

    For anyone with the 4k remaster and wants to follow along and hear where the audio distorts at peaks: Select 1984 theatrical release linear PCM (2 channel mono track) Pull up the chapter menu during playback fonts are in Japanese, (it's the first menu from the left) and select: Chapter 3: The opening scene where the title logo is introduced. Listen to the OST brass horn section as soon as the title appears, You'll hear the distortions at the peaks. The levels were set too high on the PCM track. Head back to the main menu and select the 2016 DTS -HD Master Audio, select Chapter 3 and listen to the same OST at the title (the brass horn section). the remastered has an amazing ceiling, no cracks on the peaks. sounds just beautiful. @Duke Togo the 2016 dolby surround 2 ch Linear PCM track, is a different distortion issue that i did not pick it up on myself but read it on blu-ray.com from NLScavenger's (the guy everyone is using his link of the comparison pics of all DYRL versions) https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=22846018&postcount=1588 Aside from his review, my personal watch of the 4k remaster, I picked up separately the 2 issues i posted last night on my 2 watches of the 4k remaster: the 2016 DTS-Master Audio of Ai Oboete Imasu Ka is broken in 2 places comparing it to the original Macross OST CD i own. The first is obvious, the second place you have to have a good ear. Anyone can youtube the original Ai Oboete Imasu Ka track and compare it to the DTS MA, if they listen enough they'll recognize it in those two sections i posted. Or even easier, just select the Linear PCM track on the same 4k disk and listen to the scene with Ai Oboete Imasu Ka 1984 PCM mono track distorts at peak highs but aside from it, it's a superior mix than the other two. Last, I want to share if anyone is into audio fidelity, don't underestimate mono tracks, some of them which were the original recordings are at times a superior sound to later stereo or surround mixes. I'll leave an example of a Jackson 5 mono mix that was later introduced in stereo (and unfortunately became the mainstream release for all future releases) you can clearly hear which one is superior: J5 mono when it was originally released J5 official release in stereo years later on CD For DYRL I love the DTS MA quality but the ending song issues and a few others detract from it. Missing the entire OST music when Hikaru is handing the lyrics to Minmay before the main battle. 2016 Linear PCM, i don't like the mix. voices sound low and a bit bass heavy boomy, Minmay's vocals for Ai Oboete Isasu Ka have an added reverb echo effect that isn't on the mono mix. The 1984 mono mix (aside from the peak distortions), the voices are front and clear, Minmay's voice for Ai Oboete Isasu Ka sounds clear. (My favorite)

    ok, so i gave the 4k a watch 2x times on a lg c1 OLED via PS5 with HDR my opinion: 2016 DTS Master Audio from the blurry is superior in audio fidelity. Some of the OST is amazing to listen to. However, I detest the additional modern sound effects introduced 2016 (and 2012) remastered audio, they do not fit and can be jarring. Has audio gaps (micro pauses) in two places. (4K, 2016 DTS Master Audio, also 2012 bluray edition). bookmarks 1:42:40 (4K, 2016 DTS Master Audio) 1:43:20 They're unnatural and poorly edited. It's been there since 2012 and then the 2016 edition. It hasn't changed and this is lifted from the 2016 blur ray. I'm really glad they have the 1984 original version with the PCM audio track. the 1984 PCM track audio distorts at peaks and read that it was identical and lifted from a previous release that had distortions. They could taken the time to do a proper restored pcm track or lift it from a different release with the non distorted audio track but I'm very happy it's here as an option. The good is the final battle scene doesn't have audio gaps (micro pauses with a change in volume in the song that are jarring). I found the 1984 version to be superior (edit: i liked the mono) and enjoyed it though it does not have the ending bonus concert footage. The picture is what i expected. I'm glad for an official release in 4k with English subs. I waited since 1986 that I'm happy we have it. Literally been hoping for this for the longest time and it's a miracle that it exists. No more Clash of the Bionoids or the fan subs. I'll probably watch it about 5-10 more times before commenting on the picture if I have any.

    I really wish the pre-order bonus weren't so hard to choose from. It's hard to triple dip. But yeah this poster seems like it's going to be a collector's item. Nice, my copy finally shipped today and will arrive on Thursday.
