    I need Arcadia to make a come back in a big way. Bandai really messing things up recently re: quality. It's not the same without Arcadia/Yamato in the picture.

    Bandai has been hitting it out of the park lately. first the amazing YF-21 with no reported issues, the VT-1 with the tight crisp non saggy tabs for the arms and legs that lock in perfectly, and flexible and adjustable radar fins and strong vertical stabilizers. now they have included missiles and new markings on the stand! just amazing. bandai always values early adopters and protect their loyal fans from cheap profit double dipping.

    In terms of ranking i would still consider it the worse series. My series/OVA ranking SDF Macross Frontier Macross 7/OVa's Plus OVA Macross II Zero Delta Movies: DYRL Both Frontiers movies Plus movie (i prefer the OVA's) Delta movies. I really liked the start of Delta TV series but I heard midway through episode 4 the writers learned it was extended to 26 episodes. the first 10 episodes were good and then it went downhill. The pacing was so poor it was unrecoverable. I still don't know Lady M's intention of cloning, Lady M comes off just as evil as the main villain. After Keith and Messer were gone, I couldn't get into any of the valk fights. Arad, Chuck, Mirage, Bogue, and Hayate weren't anything special. I was disappointed they gave up on the 1st episode premise of Hayate dancing. It was nice that Max was there but he was far superior to the Delta squad that made me lose interest in any of valk battles thereafter. The only focus seemed to be the idols. Not one moment of tension where I thought one of them was in danger or going to die. If they killed off Mikumo with a pineapple salad, Delta movie would've been top tier.

    Book looks good. Lots of detail seems like there's already a loss of detail maybe on the 4k scan sample. hopefully we get more examples to preview as the release draws near.

    Agree with @Duke Togo on his point. Look at James Cameron's and the dicord on the new Aliens 4k remaster. Terrible. Because of Lucas, star wars fans have resorted to Project 4K77 aside from the controversial additions, the blu ray loss details that the original film had https://www.thestarwarstrilogy.com/project-4k77/ Although, Kawamori is a god to us Macross lovers, I wasn't fan of the blu ray release of DYRL post processing. Yes, this is sad news but hopefully it's a good transfer. I have it pre-ordered regardless.

    ok, i just saw the youtube link with the VPN turned on and it's silly that's the youtube announcement with the comparison shots are not offered in 4k. and these aren't the scenes that were blurry on the bluray edition being used in the comparison shots.

    dammit. I kept my dvd bc the upscale was less distracting than the blu ray. the contrast from the sharp scenes vs the blurry were so jarring and distracting on the blu ray. ah well at least it has english subs.

    hey kajnrig, just requoting previous posts, you have most of them listed but in addition, double right shoulders was reported for one.

    damn that stinks this release of having bent head lasers have been so frequent. Bandai has been trash with Quality Assurance for the 21 and VT-1. how are they leaving the design of the clamshell without testing it? and if they are coming from factory like this, how are these not being checked and passed inspection? I already said Bandai only got the dx VF-1 and YF-19 by practically cloning Yamato/Arcadia's vf-1 version 2 and yf-19 version 3 designs. Pretty sure they didn't have a version 2 yf-21 to copy from Arcadia which is why been trash. If Arcadia is still alive as a company and does a YF-21, it will superior to bandai's in every way.

    Update: my 2x came in from Tokyo Otaku and... good news both had no bent antennas and no issues with tampo paint damage. Q/A checked put them back in the box and leaving them in storage as the VT-1's Considered new/ untouched/ checked for any bent antenna's or half bitten canopy's.
