  1. regardless of the "rotoscoping" i'm not much interested in this movie. as mentioned earlier their use of this gimick seems to just make the whole movie look like one of those Schwab commercials. Rather than employing this why not have the movie stand on its own 2 feet becasue of it story and actors than this cartoon overlay. I understand the need to add a selling point/ gimick to sell tickets but even still i dont know that my eyes could take wathcing this for more than 10 minutes. if there were a substantial need where this format were essential to the telling of the story than perhaps thats justified. Well i've gone on long enough. by the way I thought the rotoscoping was great in the old 1940s Superman. its seems appropriate in that situation.
  2. you ever think, I want to know the backsotry of Character ___X__. For example : Goval , other than smoking his pipe through the show and making a few speeches what else did he do? Was he a fighter pilot or was he always on the ground as an Admin person? Claudia had mor going on than Roy. she was a capable officer and certainly more experienced than the other girls. I guess that Max was born on Macross Island since he was really young and joined the force after the SDF-1 took off. Was a flight sim freak? He beat Milia w/out a sweat. Just wondering if there if there stories were worth looking into.
  3. still havent seen it but , i will. squid head guy looks interesting. though barnacle/corral reef head guy seems funny enough. maybe i'll go on friday.
  4. i forgot all about this thing. I really dont care anymore. Well, when this ever comes out i'll check it out. maybe.
  5. rented this and watched it twice yesterday its very good does anyone know when the next US release will be? the combiniation of cgi and art was nice. battle scenes were great to watch and the story flows pretty well. Theres still alot that needs explaining, hopefully that all comes out in the next installament. for example : Why is there always just one survivor? I'm glad i watched it. I cant wait for more.
  6. my copies works fine as far as choosing one format over the other well its way to early to tell which is the better option.
  7. this is all very scary.
  8. I dont have concrete answer for you. As far as i can see, there hasnt been any news about a 1/60 being made by Yamato. In the models section a theres a scratch built monster that been offered as kit. i dont recall at the moment who made it but it is very impressive and quite large. its a fantastic representation of the Monster .The status of the kit appears to be up in the air. I dont know if orders are still being taken for it. Or what actually happened. I want one (that size) too but have other things going on at the moment. mayeb it will gained momentum again in the future.
  9. very nice but the faint shadow on the right looks odd since the sun is behind the Valk and the shadow is seen cast toward the viewer. just a thought. edit : sp, tire now.
  10. what did the seller say about how he made it?
  11. but in what scale ? To have one would be great. I hope they dont make it bigger thatn i have space for. edit:sp
  12. What I'd like to know, is what is definitely on the horizon toy-wise. What is Yamato going to release in the next year? ....................... ........................................ yamato will release more macross toys. each one of us wants more Macross tv, or M+ , or DYRL or any other macross related figure and I want some more too. its mostly wait and see and Graham already said that we'd be happy about upcoming projects from Yamato so sit back relax and enjoy the surprises from Yamato
  13. macrossworld e-tailers i've bought from Neova and Twinmoons never a problem http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=17699
  14. what ever they make i know i'm still gonna buy it i'd like to see a vf-1a kakizake or two seaters ....but not in limited quantities. limited valks could be custom paint schemes like the low viz w/1s or 1j head

    Advice!

the vfij stealth is a great valk I'm hoping they re-issue the Milia , Max and Hikaru i have them but i want 1 or 2 more of each.
  16. I own two wide stance poseable the VF1j and VF1s. I also have three of the fast pack poseables. I wouldnt call any of them super-poseable. they do look nice on my shelf
  17. although its possible that this will come out in the foreseeable future I'd go with a TV Kakizake. yes you could certainly go with a tv max but the TV Kakizake is the one mech/character that hasnt been made yet either in 1/60 or 1/48 so why not. Ultimately yours is the final vote. alternately you could make a Blue Roses or Alaska Base scheme valk. I'd still go with the TV/DYRL Kakizake
  18. Great review Graham. decent figure however with the VF-OA and 19 and GBP 2.0 coming out Gonna have to pass on this one.
  19. clip-pesemist. the clip is half empty or in this case ....theres nothing
  20. Finally voted, 1 more vote for 1/48
  21. if they offered only a core group , with fast packs - all die cast. vf1s roy vf1a hikaru vf1a kakizaki vf1a max i already have too many of these to start over and the 1/48 are great

    1/48 Gbp

Thats a vast improvement Now I'm definately getting this.
  23. i'm not a big destroid fan but having just read this topic from the begining i'd have to say that 1/48 is the way to go. The measurements taken give the 1/48 a height difference of about 2 inches taller than a 1/60 scale mecha. Given that 1/48 valks are plentiful theres no reason as far as i see not to make the destroids in 1/48 scale. As long as their solidy built and have a bit of weight to them like a 1/55 bandai valk (I have thing for die cast metal).
