Of the four that i got only one was able to transform without a hitch. I had to cut those three's tan Nubs down One super hard to wiggle loose, but now its a breeze. I got them on 01/22/07.

Well now, although its going for 121.oo+/- at HLJ I ordered it but havent gotten notice that its arrived. So I hope its available very soon. I ordered it b/c its the best looking SDF right now regardless of the price I really want this. It would have been better for less but I'm hoping that its well worth the cost. Heck I'mspending over 130 for most Valks so why not.

searched ebay and found some gunbusters total would be just about $220 +/- that including the shipping but I don't feel like spending that , since I want more Macross stuff. I may break down and just get one I just got the Walker Gallia today Its pretty cool ...small , but cool its the accessories that were included that help 6 differen Hands , the 2 guns and so on. Using the comparison shot provided by Vic - everything seems to proportioned incorrectly from the wings being thicker than the line art and the Nose cone is too short, the tail fins are way too large. Its a cool comparison. Designing it for the real world shows that there had to alot f compromises.

Well once you get back your gonna have a lot goodies to play with. I had hoped that under the armor of the EVa their would be the true face with teeth and maybe able to open the jaw up. But over all it looks really good. its a lot more plastic than i expected though.

Wow that is so cool. I hope they keep this up. These are some nice features for a Transformer. Who'd have that the ONLY way to express emotions were with a proper set of "eye brows/lids" Honestly though, this seriously looks like Crap.
-
Does anybody know if the Gunbuster is confirmed as being re-issued I saw that on HLJ its marked for future release.

the 1/60 is half the toy that the 1/48 or hmm... more like 2/3rds as tall. I dont think its more posable , the leg/hip joint dont allow it. LOL I like the diecast, its the added weight that makes it feel solid, although i know thats not the case. Dont tell my girlfriend .... she wants to drop a few more poounds and get to 115. For me the best option is to keep it in fighter mode I think it really looks best that way.

it looks like they rotate at the mid-section of the upper thigh, theres a seam line there.
-
Oh and when you finally get one of these start checking some of these sections of concern. This is just for starters.

the VFOS and the YF19 suffer from over-tightenting of the screws and the thickness of the ABS plastic or whatever that particular piece just happens to be made of. So having the parts made of some Expensive (subjective) Alloy material isnt always the answer. I agree that metal (diecast) would work for key pieces/parts that are to thin. I'd love to see an all Metal (diecast)l VF-1. I cetainly dont expect Yamato to start making every single new Valk out of metal. I do want just one 1/48 with interchangeable parts. That would have multiple heads and the chest covers for each of the key Valks from the show These toys are complex and the fact that they're even availabel is fantastic. I'd never have thought they or any company would have made them in this scale and with such variety. Having said that Yamato does need to up their game here and produce toys thats are superb right out of the box.
-
I hope they give you one soon Graham, so you can lay some of these fears to rest. As it was suggested I hope Yamato chooses a different plastic for joints and such. Maybe even metal where theres more of a possibilyt of breaks. Anything really - to avoid the stress marks and damage.

Is that the official "Height" of a Zent soldier. I only ask b/c i was thinking of making/modding some figs to make Zent soldiers. I was going to use some 1/6 soldiers but I guess they're to tall. Guess I'll use some 9 inch tall figures. I was under the impression that the'yre just as tall if not taller than a VF-1. Especially in the seen where Max saves Hikaru and the rest from being captives on the Zent ship. When he shoots the Zent soldier they're the same height.
-
right now i just want a bigger pictur of it. I know i'll get one, but I want Graham to give it one heck of going over.
-
When you do the other arm can you take pics for a step-by-step explanation.

I certainly prefer that Yamato take their time in releasing this until they've work out all the kinks- (stronger materials and design issues). I'd rather just wait and not receive a flawed Valk I wont be upset if they take their time on this. Just b/c they've been releasing a rack of stuff lately doesnt mean that they have to go on doing that. I see no problem with them delaying this. Meanwhile they can re-release the YF-19 (w/ multiple paint schemes) , Vf-1 Enigma paint schems and the Hikaru , Max , & Miria VF-1J Supers.
-
At 1/60 they'd be small which is ok but the cost had better be small also given that they're not transforming then they should have a lower price tag to boot. Now if they're 1/48 scale then that would be cool but I'm still not willing to pay an inflated price for these guys.
