Get all the codex or whatever they're called - there's one's for video, sound, etc. For DYRL, don't use a 3D-focused one(they tell you in their discription when downloading) I think the one I used was software-based, or something It's been like 6 months since I have used emulators. It's just mainly dependant on your machine. Trial-and-error should have no problems getting it to run.

Maybe you're remembering the DYRL movie too much - just watch the original series(I always do around this time, studying for finals. ) There really isn't a difference. Just like "FoKker" and "FoCker" isn't.

I just doubt it - there is no reason for anyone to transcribe it in the first place. If there was not a quality sub version of it out already, then a fansubber would consider it to get more people interested in it. There may be some in a foreign language, but none in English. Most of the people on this board, about 50%, started off growing up on RT as well, and many of those have found to enjoy both. If you got the money, you could buy both the whole RT: Macross Saga and the first few disc of the original series. If not, well, its your money, buy what you know you'll enjoy.

OAV mean original animation video, same as OVA - original video animation. It means its a short story, 4-13 parts long, that companies want to rip off the Japanese audience by making them pay alot instead of airing it on TV for free. btw, there is a "newbie" thread in this section. I have no real complains with the story - I just watched the 3rd episode again today, and if you look, Shin is developing, combat-wise, just watch the fight and you'll see what I mean. And yes, Kawamori did make M7, but he did make M+, so let's not pass too much judgement until the end. I'm just saying that, if it takes 6 months for 30 mins of animation, it should show.

I did just get bad from seeing Walking Tall, and they had a preview for a new Disney rendition of "Around the World in 80 Days" with Jackie Chan as the main dude's sidekick. It doesn't seem to be that bad, and it showed that the Governator has a small, but "interesting" role in it.

I'm disappointed in the quality of the animation - for as long as it's taking, what, nearly 6 months for 30 minutes of animation?!? And some of the scenes are hit-or-miss - the battle between Roy and DD was just crappy. It should be all near perfection considering. I think the story still has potential. With the cliffhanger from the last episode, I expect it to really take off at this point. But, I have to wait...
