This one, Army I think, is funny too. US "Ambush" in Iraq

Is it just me, or is Obi-Wan a craptactular lightsaber-teammate? I mean, look at the history: he "helps" Qui-Gon get killed, and "helps" Anakin lose a hand, and then he gets bunked out at the final Dooku fight. He can't seem to watch anyone's back. And the fight's he won? He took a cheap shot at a previously-injured Grievious with a blaster(not like I wouldn't use it if available...), he chopped off Anakin's legs because he was a retard, and he just got pissed off at Maul and killed him, probably just got luckly. That's why I can't in good faith vote for any fight with Obi-Wan in it; no wonder why he "nobly sacrificed" himself to Vader, because otherwise he probably would have f'ed it up and gotten someone else hurt.

How are you all getting this? Fansubed, or TV? Gainax has yet to really please me in any of their shows: "creativity" doesn't always mean "quality." I just liked the music of FLCL, and that's about it.

never meaning no harm... But on NASCAR, I don't see how anyone can enjoy watching people driving around in the same circle. Might as well watch the grass grow.

According to rumor, Famitsu states that Nintendo said all their 1st party games will be available for download. Third party games would have to be worked out with their developers. Seeing as I can't read Japanese, I need someone else to double-check. Here's the list of possible games: Nintendo Forums

And Graham just posted the Sci-Fi/pedofile link article in the "Other..." sections...

Reading the article, I think that's just his opinion. The guy's probably very busy, so it must suck not to have much time to invest into playing games.

I am so Netflix-ing this just for that quote, even though I've never seen this before.

Another fun webpage is the myspace.com pages. Here's the one for Locke: http://www.myspace.com/johnlocke The funny thing is, about everyone and everything has a page on the site. Like the Polar Bear and the Transceiver. Some of those guys at ABC are sure having fun with this hype.

I admit that the theatrical cut of the first Highlander movie isn't all that great. It's one of those cases where the director's cut really makes it something. Even without the smoothness the director's cut provides, there's one great thing that makes the first movie unique from most movies in general: you really don't know if the hero, Connor MacLeod, is going to win, much less if he even wants to live. Like best portrayed in Queen's Who Wants to Live Forever? I mean honestly, in a non-angst way, who really wants to continue for an eternity knowing all the people you love won't take part in it? They tired to do that with the second, but they lost that about halfway into it. They didn't even try for the 3rd one, and the 4th, well, he in some ways gave up. Hey, what ever happened to Connor's adoptive son from the 3rd one anyway, when he went into exile? Guess the kid starved to death or something.

Kind of reminds me; I've been watching thru Season 5 of the show as kind of an extended marathon (yes I really liked the show and I bought all the DVDs), and Duncan was going against this immortal Steven Keane in kind of a reverse-good-guy/bad-guy twist, and in the extras they were going over one of the funnier bloopers in the series with Amanda(Elizabeth Gracen) and Methos(Peter Winfried): Amanda: Look, if he(Duncan) goes up against Keane thinking he deserves to los he'll lose. He'll die, Methos. Methos: ...We'd get our own show then! I guess it only worked out for Elizabeth Gracen so far. btw, more horror for you non-sequel types: Highlander 5: The Source is in pre-production. Good news is IMDB has Christopher Lambert in the cast(and that's it? ) Anyway, why can't some people ever enjoy sequels? Yes, they more often than not suck, but they can be enjoyable. I mean, for example, the 2 other movies in the SW OT, and the 2nd Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie gave us "Ninja Rap". But I for the most part enjoyed all the Highander parts, except #3 was retarded beyond belief, and I haven't seen the Raven series. So I have some hope for this one, but one thing really bothers me: wtf

I hope Rare has secretely cancelled Perfect Dark and is hard at work developing a sequel to Taboo. Forget both of those games. I wouldn't mind seeing them remake Conker again for the 360! (It's probably the only game franchise that I like by Rare.) Actually, one is coming out for the X-Box next month.

Funny, first thing I thought when I saw this thread up top again was "Another one?" Damnit me too, I about crapped my pants when I saw it from the main page.
-
I would rather have a revival of the series. Though if a DVD-movie would bankroll another series...

Oh gosh this is like the 5th God-damned thread on this!!! I mean think, guy, we have threads on the first page with about 200 posts on Ep III, next-gen consoles, and we've been talking about Batman Begins long before most of society even knew of its existence. We are the Uber-Nerds, nothing Macross-related, or, sadly, RT-related, excapes our eye. If in doubt, use the freaking search function, or just pay attention to what's been posted.

I guess it's easy to miss a few posts when you read through 14 pages... but if Factor 5 does another Rogue Squadron, it'll be for PS3, since Factor 5 announced they will be developing exclusively for PS3. I think Capcom hinted that they're working on an RE5, but someone how I don't see it turning up on the Revolution. The reason they went Nintendo exclusive in the first place is because of Shinji Mikami's displeasure with the qualilty of the PS2. Since then, though, almost every exlcusive that Capcom made for the Gamecube has or will have a PS2 version, due to the fact that Sony's much larger audience meant more profit. Now, especially if Sony's machine turns out to be as powerful as people are saying, I'd predict that an RE5 would turn up on the PS3 before any of the other next-gen consoles. I'm glad that you put these two together, because it makes me wonder, what actually keeps games exclusive, a hand-shake or paper-work? Capcom is obviously backing out of it's prior agreement in the later editions. And yes, I enjoyed Aria of Sorrow. Too bad Castlevania games are so short.

Good. I'm tired of those other blogs that only blatantly promise truth some of the time. Quiet you...this is America: where all citizens are given the right to butcher languages at our pleasure.

Dude, you know that's just an old Simpsons joke, don't you? Although you're first article is the truth.

I thought they keep on saying that the Antilles weren't related. But I thought it was stupid then to even give them the same name, seeing as the relation would be implied.
-
Somehow I think MGREXX also goes by Leroy in some circles. Actually, the only reason I bought the PS2 when I did was to import the new Macross. I've been satisfied with it for other games though as well. So nothing definite on the Revolution's specs?
-
That, or with Macross in general. Hey, if you want to do it, have at it.

Well, throughout other parts of the Star Wars series, we see other protocol droids that look very similar to C-3P0 (IE, encountering a silver duplicate in Cloud City). My guess is Protocol droids are common enough (that particular model as well) that Owen may have seen several in his lifetime. That's the best explination I can come up with, anyhow... (after all, he DOES approach C-3P0 with "I suppose you're programmed for etiquette and protocol....") Yeah, I'd like you to be able to identify one of your friend's old alarm clocks or NES he got rid of years ago from a pile of similar clocks/NES's.

Well, I think it's more of showing how much of a loser Geedo is (not being able to shoot a guy point-blank). But Han still killed the guy, and Obi-Wan did do an amputation.
-
Abusing in what way? From what I've heard, it was they were charging high license rates per cartridge, plus charging for what was made, not just what sold in stores. So the developers ate most of the dept.

Ok, for those new, let me tell the story of: THE LEGEND OF AGENT ONE'S "DOORNOB FETTISH" Way back a Decemberween or so ago, one of the board members (I forget who) posted about some "Secret Santas" or what-not, ringing his doorbell then leaving him small gifts. This creaped him out a little bit, so he asked us for advice. Agent One, being the wise ol' sage that he is, recommended leaving a certain bodily fluid on the doornob, to deter them from comming back(no pun intended .) So everyone added to that their own version of "WTF, mate?" and has not let it drop for some time. The End PS: Dammit, JBO beat me too it. And I put effort into making it all funny-like!
