Like I said on one of the other movie threads, this is the only movie this summer other than Batman Begins I'm planing on seeing. My brother's birthday crap had better be done before the opening show! I liked the first one because it was a relatively no-nonse action movie - just beating the crap out of the guys with whatever was around. I get tired of all the fancy sometimes god-like abilities and moves done by Asian leads. But I think a part in a Fairly Oddparents rerun I saw yesterday sums up my feelings about the move: Wanda: Wow, this movie is ultra violent AND stupid! Cosmo: And I would have settled for one or the other!

So, who's getting the OMEGA bundle? (click smiley)

I personally liked the 2nd part of the Mugen's hometown storyline. The song they played when he was drowning was beautiful. Anyone know the title?
-
Eh, the 2nd one was about the "Macross 2" of the series, as opposed to the "Macross Plus." I wish Keanu Reeves would quit being a dick about it and not recognize not only what these movies did for his career, but how fun they were.

Robotech honored by Science Fiction Museum
Wes replied to Roy's Blues's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The announcement killed them. They immediatly sank into the earth, spun around 3 times, and rose as enraged undead marauders with glowing red eyes. 323423 Regular Zombies or some sort of Cyber Zombies 323427 Cyber-zombies. Hyper-intelligent cyber-zombies. 323434 No, they didn't come back as zombies, they returned as Dracula Bus: Bus of the Undead! But yeah, I hope they're at least kind enough to note at the event those who actually CREATED and DREW the episodes, not just the one that pulled a Space Ghost: C2C on them. -
Oh, yeah! THAT'S why Weird Al's new website said they just started the new album!

Yes, yes, good, good, now FINISHTHEMEXICOSTORYALREADY!!!!! I have to know what happens...

The reason why is whoever runs FOX network is an idiot. They seem to get sooo many good shows, and they just cancel them. Yes, I was a fan of this show as well. But FOX doesn't care.

Run, or at least walk. Start slow, then move up to 45 min. And only drink water, no coke or anything. Seriously, this is what my best friend did, in a year he dropped massive weight. Shouldn't take you that long. Actually, you're thinking of a movie, "UHF", Weird Al's pet project. Good stuff. CONAN: DON'T YOU KNOW THE DEWEY DECIMAL SYSTEMMMMM!!!

I agree with the rest of you - I enjoy a good fight, but epics are a little hard to see anything more than all the deathblows. I like to see a little bit more style than that. There's been no Bravehearts for awhile.

It's hard to talk about these threads without getting too political, but it seems the people against the game are reaching... I give the whole "Video-Game-Scare" another 3 months...just in time for Christmas shopping!

Well, with a valk, I AM using it - it's a toy, and I like to fidget alot, so playing around with them is nice. Such is the purpose of a toy. And I'm only spending about $50 on it. No big loss. Now I'm just guessing hear, but I assume the majority of the board-members here are middle-income types with or without families who can only afford the multi-hundred thrills on rare occassions, maybe twice a year. Now when I was getting the Highlander catalogs(my step-dad bought me some stuff from those guys one birthday and they didn't stop sending them it we changed our address ) they were selling them for like $300-400. Now that isn't too bad, but it seems alot for what will amount for most people to be a wall ornament. Now A1's saying he has one that retails for $1500? An expensive hobby. Although the way AgentOne talks about himself, whenever he's thirsty he just walks by children who wordlessly surrender their lunch money at his arrival, so maybe he has easier access to money. But yeah, I was watching thru my Christmas-accured Highlander TV DVD sets and when those fools were like "Carring swords around?!? That's CRAZY!!" crap, I was thinking, how? I mean really, they don't run out of ammo, most people aren't going to rob you at a distance, and carring this big freaking broadsword is easily going to advertise that you're not to be messed with. Plus it's easy to use it for non-lethal defence. So why not use them? Of course most people who collect these recently-forged novelty swords aren't going to use them for that, except for those few who actually study weapon play for self-defence. Quite you...
-
In some ways, I understand buying swords. If you are acually planing to use them for defending yourself and others. I mean, they're far less accident-prone than guns, and it's easier to limit or increase harm based on the situation. But I don't see why people by them for their "collection." These turds have never seen the field of battle, they have no "collectable" value. Unless you want to use it to become king by your own hand, why by it? This coming from a Highlander fan.

There was a funny skit on SNL, probably one of the most recognizable skits of the past 15 years on the show, anyhow it featured Christopher Walken as a record producer in heaven and they were making a super group reunion album, and Will Farrel was the Cowbell player in the skit. Anyhow, you need to see the skit because I can not retell it better than they did it, Christopher Walken, in his own special way elicits more Cowbell repeatedly in the performance, and it is freaking hilarious. The skit is on one of the Best of Will Farrel SNL discs, and probably on the Christopher Walken SNL disc as well. 320808 No, it was a VH1 Behind the Music parody featuring Blue Oyster Cult. CW was the director Brice Dickens (yes, THE Brice Dickens). Will Ferrel was playing Gene, the cowbell player for the band. Just do a Google search or search on Kazaa "SNL Blue Oyster Cult".

And we can't enjoy it anyways why? Wet blanket...

Is it a good set-up? Yes. Is it anything special? Not really, just must have cost a bit. Still doesn't have the "WOW Factor" everybody's favorite R/C does: Flying Lawnmower

I actually think it's something AgentOne threw together to show support during one of the times 1st Border Red Devil started a Southern Cross thread, and again everyone gave him crap.

Leave. Now. Seriously, though, the website gives a few of the movies he's in. He's an actor, but a good one. I'd definitely rather have him over Hillary (I can't have her taking over the world before me... ) but who knows what his political ideology will be, or even if this is real, at this point? EDIT: Yeah, sorry guys, for some odd reason Windows wants to save pictures sometimes as bitmaps, which no other program IN THIS FREAKIN' WORLD wants to accept.

No, it's clearly a Strike win, because Gundam Wing is gay. But wow, not just the original Macross mechs, but Nadesico as well? Joy!

Coming to a $3.99 DVD rack near you before 2007!

I didn't think this warranted another thread, so I decided to hack this one. The Sony Ericsson commercials that are playing during the movie previews - wtf? Its clearly funny, but is there some inside joke I'm missing? What's the song called?

No thanks, I could barely get past that trailer.
