1. Maybe they would look good if they tried to make them transform into a respectable robot-like form, instead of some retarded Vader or Luke look-a-like.
2. That explains just about all of what you say on this board. I blame the Cyclon-controled media for blowing the "brainwashing" thing out of proportion. They keep hyping the image that kids are care packages, not people, and they need to be protected by Big Brother based on their discretion whether they are right or retarded. It's like Dennis Leery put it, "Children are like all other social classes of people: a couple of winners, loooot of loosers." The whole point behind corporal punishment is that it enforces the fact that pain and shame often follow really bad actions. It's pretty easy for a small fry to add that up, whereas in real life it isn't always so clear. If a kid wants to play the "Abuse Card"? Fine, s/he can be reminded of all the grief and embarrassment it takes to validate the claim, the horrible conditions of the foster care system, and the stain as a freaking liar on their record if they ever have a legitimate greavance. So who's responsible for the kid? The community, of course, the whole "village to raise a kid" deal. If s/he's your kid, correct it. If not and you see it, suggest it. If they want to bitch, let them be an idiot. But when they screw up, they need to pay the price. I leave with another comedian quote I forget who he was: "Man, kids aren't imitating video games - look at Mario. You don't see kids, jumping on their friends to turn them into pancakes, punching bricks just to get spare change. 'KILL MAIM DESTROY!' ...Satan? 'No, it's a-me, MARIO!'"
3. I had this other GB bomberman game, the neat thing about that is you could connect it to the Super GB and 4 people with the one cart too.
4. Is there actually something there on the videos, or just the gif? I've seen people editing in all sorts of crap there, I wonder if that thing, shrapnel or what, is actually in the episode. I don't have the discs, so I can't check. Anyone break into the dharma site yet?
5. Well, I guess I was wrong about Desmond being there for a long time, but I was right about the facility being there. Maybe the facility will blow up without the code? I'm wondering if the radio tower recording was just from one of the guys going crazy from taking his "shift". It was initially supposed to be for those transmitting to the institute?
6. In 1999 an alien ship crashes on a island in the pacific ocean after receiving odd numbers in space...... 334257 LOL but Russou changed the numbers about 11 years before that.
7. My 2 piece: I'm not convinced by many people's overtechnology explaination for LOST. True, any high form of technology can seem like magic, but that doesn't really explain the effect the numbers have had on people. This thing as apparently been going on for about 200 years, considering the Black Rock. They're definitely playing the supernatural angle, but it's yet to be determined how well this will play out. Locke seems to believe it's the island's benevolence/making a call for help, but it seems that he's probably wrong and some "enitity", the island or what, has poor intentions for the survivors. Demond isn't in control of poo. He's there hiding, waiting for someone to bail him out. And he's been there since apparently the 70's. He doesn't have any overtech. I can see him and Russou making a great couple, so long as she doesn't think he's too psycho for her. I was kind of thinking the numbers had a "curse" to them because they were incomplete, like a half-finished magic square, but I haven't really put much effort into cracking it. Completing the sequence I guess would break the "curse".
8. Yes, every thread ever written in MW ever. At least thru the past 2 years. I'd swear MGREXX was this one loser who'd hang around my group of friends uninvited growing up who would always bs to the extreme in a sad attempt to impress others to the extent that we were sure he actually believed them. But hey, I'm sure they're alot of those guys. 1stBRD, ANYTHING is better than those Sentinels designs. But I'm glad to see they were smart and gave her a tamed, tied-up hairstyle similar to what female regs would be in the real military. It looks like they altered her head structure though to make her look less like SDF Misa. I can't put my finger on it, they should have tried to stay more true to the original.
9. I figured that's what you meant, since that's what'd be a common sense preference by just about anyone who's ever even considered wanting an Xbox 360. Allard or Bach, I can't remember which, already hinted in OXM though, that their strategy would be more along the lines of releases a new model 360 with an HD DVD-ROM, and then having large games release in both multiple DVD-9s AND HD DVDs (kinda the way PC games release on both CD-ROM and DVD-ROM today). Which would absolutely suck, because it'd be basically giving the finger to all the early adopters. 333537 Guh... At least they'd dual-release them instead of ignoring it totally. 333557 I could honestly see them allowing one to swamp out the drives, shouldn't be that hard to open up and replace it if they build it to do so. But with the starting rates M$ has been showing, I could see them forcing you to have this done by licensed repaires, like Best Buy or someone major.
10. So everything is reverse then. You secretly love us, but AgentOne really despises us. I love your "I Always Win Because I Say So" theories. Anyways, pink skin, who cares? No one here was planing on buying the comic anyways, right? The point of this thread is about the TV series and video that's supposed to be released before. Geez, you all are deprived of good bash-worthy material.
11. This is soooooo 3 months ago. No one else got the leaked torrent copy? I enjoyed it, it had it's laughts. Family Guy was never the highest source of humor, because it relies on more flashbacks than the Highlander series (gosh it's so easy to tell when they're coming up) and the crude humor. But I'm not too picky about it, I find it very enjoyable, that and American Dad. But the whole flashback-thing is starting to bug me; let's be honest, Stewie has aparently done more living in his infantile life than most anyone has ever done in their entire span.
12. Yes, FF7 on PC is nothing special. I had to stop playing the line at 8 - when Square put my background is as a mercenary, and you kill anyboy for money, I realized that was it.
13. What I ment is that because of that feature Divx is not bought since it would ahh ugh...like no one would buy since playing the DVDs they buy might not even work with it. Im not making any sense here I need some snooze . Anyways ya never know about the PS2 holding up to 1000 Agent Smiths in 1 level without lag? Imagine it with PS3 woaah . 332750 Actually, in Zone of the Enders 2, they had a stage with about 40 friendlies and around 200 opponents on the same battlefield, and that thing got laggy.
14. Sadly, if HG can find an excuse as to why the REF needs to collect cards, then yes, it will be.
15. It's coming out in the US today. ARE YOU ALL PUMPED!?!?
16. That's the real problem with America; not trying to get too political or anything, but we're too busy trying to alienate children from the difficult decisions of life instead of instructing and encoraging them to overcome them. That's what makes them into weak girly men.
17. How so? Tilt controller, tilt stick. Not that diffrent. I think the hardest thing would be moving characters around in a 3d space. Imagine trying to play the next Prince of Persa game with this thing. But problems would come to where you would sit the controller down or have to do something else when you get distracted or just uncomfortable where you are. Will this mean death in some situations, or is there a dummy-proof solution around this? Also, if you're sitting around some friends during multiplayer games, one jerk can shove into everyone and really screw you as compared to the past.
18. I actually really like the design in a sense that it could be used for sword-fighting games, the genre of games I've always wanted to see. I think a Highlander game could really be done right on one of these things. I think that moving the characters on games will probably be frustrating though. I hope the system will or could be made Wavebird compatable, though.
19. I don't believe any "screenshots" until I see video of someone playing the game.
20. Sorry to bump and old thread, but does anyone know a good, preferably freeware, Palm Pilot weight loss/calorie tracker? I found a decent one, but if there are any better ones out there I would like to know before buying the one I'm demo-ing.
21. OK, here's my mini review. MINOR SPOILERS Wes's Barely Passable Movie Review The Transporter 2 Why is it that children always seems to be kidnapped for peusdo-evil plots RIGHT when the awesome/crazy man star has had bodyguard duties for a month? Jason Statham found himself asking this very same question right before beating the crap out of a really big guy with make-shift melon boxing gloves. And then crushing him with a boat. Yes, it's Transporter 2, another movie in the long tradition of this summer's series of "Hey, how can we exploit a previous idea instead of comming out with something new and exciting?" So if you haven't figured it out yet, yes, they made it more like The Fast and the Furious, with a few of the special effects you come to expect(but didn't ask for) in a popular film. Story Nothing that's going to hurt your head. Or make you want to hurt your head from hearing it. There's no silly angst or liberal "America is full of naughty, naughty people" crap, no, just what's needed to move the action along, and not be stupid. If you want to see some fights, they're in here. Fights All the fights were done really well. A number of good car scenes as well. It just has added special effects over the first one, which only takes away from the enjoyment (and reality) of the film. Hollywood really needs to drop this train of thought. Scenes That Only Jesus Could Really Pull Off I count about 3, but I'm being a little conservative. I'm not counting the ones that could happen, but would leave a person unable to move/get up much less do a 10-foot split-jump right afterwards, but hey, maybe the US Special Forces were really into basketball when this guy was around. Still, not as many as I feared would be in it. Music No retarded rap songs thrown in for no good reason. Only stuff that plays on the emotions well. Is This "TEH WIN!"? Close, but the special effects, and the lack of logic (especially in the last fight), makes it fall short. Plus it's pushing for 90 min. If they would have only been smart and invested that money into more fights or car scenes, it would have won an Internet. If you really want to see an action movie, go see this. If you can wait, wait 3 months to Netflix it. But hey, Statham was beating on a guy bigger than him with melon gloves. Now that's hardcore. Your not hardcore unless you have found a way to gain victory over your enemy with fruit.
22. Yeah, I posted one of these around April or so. ADV does this at a regular basis to purge old stock, so check around every holiday or every month for other sales. One thing to take note of: their ordering system IS NOT ENCRIPTED! A rather retarded no-no. Also they say on the site that they will sometimes either mark out with black marker or cut out the UPC code. I ordered thru them once and they didn't do it, but I've heard from others that they have. A good idea is to pricematch it with DeepDiscountDVD. They'll sell it to you for ADV's price shipped, and you can avoid the above unplesantries.
