Ok, settle down. No, you can't strafte - it's a 3rd-person shooter, doesn't lend itself well to it, but you can turn and move about pretty easily, plus you have easy access to your knife and can use the A button for some physical combat.

I think its just how a typical military leader would handle giving an order to someone for something they aren't going to like, or that's kind of illegal. Of course I totally agree with Rousin because she is right - Cain has forgotten about who she is fighting for and is willing to kill anyone it takes. And because Adama actually gives a damn about his guys she's trying to take them out. I don't think though her XO is going to let that happen. I believe that's why he's been screening details via Tigh, to get her gone. OK you do that - get a copy of Unigraphics or ask Knight26 for whatever he uses and see what you and your bro can come up with. But really, not every detail is going to be TEH AW3SOM3!!! in this or any show. Just look at the Highlander projects coming up and realize it could be worse. But they need a Baltar character, you're supposed to hate him, but it's helpful and interesting to have that extra inside-track into what the Cylons are thinking. Yeah, I was thinking after she said she wanted to die that they'd get they tortured Cylon to do it. Makes sense, will get her killed like she wants aand there's so little blame to go around for something like that.

What Ever Happened To Shawn And Graham? Does Anyon
Wes replied to med96ben's topic in Movies and TV Series
All these issues were discuss before: there was a movement to make MW more self-supporting, like with donations or fund-raising-type system, but it was looking like it would have instituted a system of favorism for people who gave, there was debate on how to set it up, etc, and interest dropped. Admins are added on occassion, and Shawn hasn't felt compelled to add more. Graham doesn't have the ability to add new ones. A good way to prevent yourself from ever becoming one is by nominating yourself from the position. LURK MOAR PEOPLE! A1, if you want updates, go to Macross Compendium. Otherwise, if you want to b1tch and moan about how certain pieces of media doesn't fit your "vision" or the "original creators' vision", you want to discuss every minute detail of the Macross series, or you want to debate about which new product is gay or now, well then you've come to the right place. This is definitely a nerd board, about a 20+ year-old anime and then some, thus a nerd board and all the extras that come with said boards - that is the reason for MacrossWorld's existance. Therefore by posting here we clearly are nerds, no doubt about it. Oh and Shawn, I stabbled him. Then he tried to get away, so I broke his legs. He was still bleeding there, last time I checked, but I can't go back to that state so I'm not sure of what he's up to now. -
I liked it. It's nice to get a 3 hour movie for once as opposed to the now standard 90 min. one. And it had alot of action, the New York part was such a small segment of it. The island was great, but I realized something now that I never really thought of before - there's no way these monsters, be them dinosaurs, something bizare, or just huge, whould give such a damn as to chase a person as intently as they do in this action movies. Really, how good can a person taste to these things? That's the only rational reason why they'd go after a what-is-bite-sized-to-them creature. It's like a fat guy chasing feverently for 5-10 min for a Hersey's Kiss; realisticly, he'd give up after 10 sec and just hobble over to the fridge.

Could I be naked? 351587 We're not interested in a "swordfight" between the two of you...

They still replay those one's alot on the Disney channel, so maybe they're getting good kickbacks from them or whatever.

The problem with the old show was it was too cheezy, and the bad guys were kind of retarded. The problem with the new one is that it's too gritty-wanna-be, and the bad guys are so sinister and skeeming that they just can't kill that blasted ship already! Hopefully the new series will progress to the middle ground real soon. If you don't like the series, you could always think of it as BSG's DYRL. Some of these complaints about characters now, I got to say, I got to ask, do you all get out that much?! (and this comming from me ) I mean Tigh and his wife? Heck, that was my brother and his first girlfriend. Some of these relationships you guys are moaning about do happen in real life, and even alot stranger ones. I just don't want it to be the bulk of the show, that's all. I doubt Rouslin's going anywhere - I'm sure when they run into Count Iblis or who/whatever replaces him, one of the things he does is fixes her...but I'm going to laugh so hard, fall, and crack my head open if she gets promptly stabbed or shot right after! Speaking of which, I do seem to see a little bit of a split between the Cylons; their talking about God seems to signify that although they don't think to highly of humans, not all of them are believers. And where did they pick up this belief over their exile? Maybe it was them who ran into Iblis or something like him. Also, someone help me - I remember on the into miniseries that Adama got a message saying there were 12 variants of the human Cylons. Where'd he get this from? I'm having problems finding mention of it.

DO YOU GUYS WANT HIM BACK?! Crazy loons.

I personally am loving this Everying-On-DVD-Sh!t! It's great, especially with Netflix: 20 buxs and a spare 250 gb drive gets me all the classic/crappy stuff I can shove in my skull. Some of it I just thought about at random; The whole Kung-Fu grasshopper thing came to mind, I asked some friends if they knew where the whole "grasshopper-phrase" came from, and out of the 5 of them none of them knew it was Kung-Fu, and thruth be told, I never saw a episode of it myself. Now I'm on the 2nd disc and loving it. Same with the original Battlestar Galactica. Then there are some others, like Highlander: The Raven - I swear I only get them now just because of how depressing the interviews are!
-
Where in the original series do they reveal this? I always felt like the motivations of the Cylons were never explained and they were the bad guys just because they were the bad guys and liked to kill things. Baltar never went into what motivated their whole determination to destroy humanity in all of his mustaching-twisting dialogue, or did he? 350384 Early on, in like the first few episodes. They touch back on it when they reach the Terra area. I wounder how (if at all) the new series will handle Terra?

That, and if they ever find other humans, the Cylons can be right there to wipe them out.

Just like someone else said, I think on the Lost thread, I just want them to have a sense for the story and just tell it, in a set number of seasons. If it does really good, great, the creators can do a sequel or a similar project. SPOILER I actually heard Weird Al is scheduled to make a moving performance sometime soon.

According to the liner notes from Animeigo, the original outline was to run for 23 episodes. When the series was extended they had to scramble to produce new episodes which included the requisite clip shows (Globals Report and Phantasm.) I'm betting that Eps 29-36 were part of this as well, since they are arguably different from the first two seasons. Interestingly, the outline for Battle City Megaroado ends on a similar note to Love Drifts Away, which only convinces me more that the later episodes were tacked on. 349895 They (anime's, especially space operas) always have a clip show, it just varies depending on how creative they studio is in executing it (see Nadesico).

I for one am glad they did it the way they did. Does everything have to end like Gundam or Star Wars? Alot of classic tales, Beowolf, Gilgamesh, King Arthur, all ended with kind of a sour note, and they were better and a little more realistic for it. Fact of the matter is that most stories don't end on a high note, even though they can be fun like that. You do kind of put an interesting idea into my head; wouldn't the 9-episode segment be better sutted as an OVA? It's the perfect size, and it would have been wonderful to see this segment of the Macross timeline played out with better animation and more time to develop the enviroment it was trying to portray. Plus, if you didn't like it, you can pretend it never happened (like Macross 2 or 7 ).
-
Which idea is that? 349888 I may be putting words in the Duke's mouth, but I'd say the whole impending-doom and who is/isn't a Cyclon is the common themes, but not giving us anything groundbreaking, just trying to keep the story going. But I think that's to be expected with a survival-show like this. I was feeling the same way about Lost a little while ago. They both can easily recover from these slumps so long as they aren't already aiming to make it to Season 7.

That's just life - people love to hate. Just wait until the new RT series comes out.

I heard that they actually commissioned Artland to make a new ending for it. IIRC, that was the "happy ending" included as an extra with the old English dub of "Megazone 23 Part 2" (i.e. the one done by the same people as "Super Spacefortress Macross") 349014 Artland is the same studio that did Macross. Of course alot of the artwork was subbed out to well, less-than-quality animators.

just add in your new location and I'll delete the old one. 349006 Ok, done.

I moved recently, how do I change my location? Can I just re-enter my name and it make the switch?

I heard that they actually commissioned Artland to make a new ending for it. Now, if they only had the money/digity to commission Artland to DO THE WHOLE THING FROM SCRATCH maybe something would have come out of this whole affair.
