Yeah this episode farting blew. Angst galore. The only salvation was the beautiful shots for the Vipers. Can't wait to see it in HD, but I'll be skipping all the blech drama.

AS long as the weapon systems aren't mounted, what would be the grounds? Bill Gates can probably afford to keep a few F-18's operational... why shouldn't he be allowed to own one? Though I imagine if I was Billy Gates, I'd have something much better like the Bat Plane.

Teken 5 on the PS Store for 20 bucks. I haven't played a Tekken since the Tekken Tag I picked up as a launch game for my PS2.... but am thinking about it. Also looks like Sony and Immersion made up: Press release So hopefully we'll get the Dual Shock 3 this year. I don't really miss rumble that much, but really think it looks ergonomically great (possibly even better than the 360 controller, which is my current favorite)

Heh, got my answer as to a couple more of the Colonies and Baltar, in particular (though not quite the way I expected - and I still don't know why Baltar's Caprican would have a British accent and the other supposed Capricans do not...).

I've been enjoying the RR7 demo. Will probably end up getting this game! And Motorstorm, of course. Also got the Full Auto 2 demo. Graphics seem more than a little improved from Full Auto (which I got for my 360 during the lean months), but still trying to get used to the SIXAXIS control scheme. On a related note, got my Denon 4306 finally. Boy is 7.1LPCM great! Made me rewatch a whole bunch more Blu-ray movies and get wowed by their PCM tracks. Black Hawk Down especially... Hopefully the firmware upgrade in March will include DTS-HDMA decoding so I can really unlock similar potential in my Fox titles!

Of course I know that Hador's younger child lived on as did his people (which IIRC were the bulk of the population of at least a portion of Numenor, given that the House of Beor was near annihilated). I referred to the proper decent of the eldest of the line. I know I didn't word that quite right, though. Huor was obviously the lesser son and Tuor would obviously be the pale cousin to Turin Turambar! I forgot to mention that I'm a bit disapointed, though, since the Similarillion goes into far more detail on Turin especially compared with Tuor. I want to see TUOR fleshed out more since everything is rather rushed. No detail on Echthelion of the Fountain versus the Balrog? The final fate of Turgon? So many good chapters are there!

I like my Alphas (Have 1 green and 1 shadow). I always wanted to get a couple more to customize... at the very least put some of my extra 1/60 Skull Squadron Jolly Rogers on Shadow Alphas for the REF Skull Squadron...

Space is so big that once out of the initial combat zone, the odds are EXTREMELY unlikely of someone running into it. But then if it was "realistic" given some other things we've seen of BSG (for example), most combat would probably take place outside of visible range with missiles, etc. Especially the capital ships, but likely even with the fighters (which are themselves something of an anamoly in a "hard" sci fi setting.

That looks great! Too bad there's no Regults we can put in there... One of my only beefs about 1/60 (which I otherwise far prefer over 1/48) is that it's just not common enough to let us use other stuff.

I would LOVE a VF-2SS and a Metal Siren.

I'd get an Ivanov and maybe a CF or 2 depending on the pricing and if deals/discounts are available by the time the CF hits. I don't like the lavendar Nora SV-51, though...

I will get this version with the FP and booster IF the gunpod and landing gear issue is fixed. I've passed so far...

Turin's tale is such a bummer tragedy, though the transformation of his character in his various personifications is great.. Shows that he COULD have had a fate with Finduilas similar to that of Beren & Luthien. The mightiest line of the humans ends with him and was not represented in Numenor or beyond.

Eh? I just took Tigh as admitting he was wrong about the doctor... nothing more, nothing less. Decent episode. I don't have a feel that this fleet has almost 50k people on it. The various cultures should be looked at more, as well. Sagitarons and what about the rest? Capricans seem about equivalent to Americans in both language and feel. Has Baltar's home colony been revealed or is it just a subset of the Capricans who have British accents?

Yeah, I'd much rather see the strings and matte boxes around the TIE Fighters. Or maybe not. But yeah, hopefully I'll get my Blu-ray version of Star Wars for the 30th anniversary and they can include all these scenes. Seamlessly branch whether I want Greedo shooting first, at the same time, or not at all...

Very true. I've wished they would make a "new" take on G1 Megs robot while changing his alt mode. The gun was always silly but he would make a perfect artillery piece. Why would his "scope" turn into a cannon for robot mode anyway?

If I was in the UK, I'd want to get a North American or Japanese version depending if I liked anime or not. Both are Blu-ray region A and the toss up would depend whether I wanted North American Region 1 DVD or Japan/Euro Region 2 DVD... You also get Japan Playstation and PS2 region from a JDM PS3...

I could definitely see buying some of these. Snake Eyes looks awesome and it's good to finally see a well proportion Ma Duece (I miss my Ma Duece :cry: ).

You mean the Tosh HD-DVD players were P4 PC's in a pretty box (well the XA1 is a pretty box... the A1 pretty plain). The LG player is more expensive than a couple different options of separate BD and HD-DVD standalones, much less game consoles. There are conflicting reports of what exactly is happening regarding the disc and features in question. FWIW, Sony claims the issue is with their player and will be fixed by firmware update while Pioneer claims it's a problem with the disc itself. I still haven't seen GitS BD yet, but I haven't exactly been looking. Maybe this Saturday I'll hit up Frank & Sons again for a YF-19 (I passed on the offer for $180 this last saturday... i'm hoping for at least $175 on principle ) and will see if any of the vendors there have it.

Nope, the open/close won't work with the HD-DVD drive currently. You have to go down to the "bottom" half of the open button inside the 360 dashboard.

But otherwise I vote both.
