At first, I thought this cartoon would have been redundant with the last series, but I'm thinking this could be quite entertaining and give us a scope to the actual conduct of the war that has only been vaguely alluded to in the existing EU (since we all knew that the whole thing was a sham meant to put Jedi in the meatgrinder and manuever them into Order 66). I would also like to see a KotoR, if not TotJ era, as well as purge, New Republic, and NJO.

That looks pretty cool. How did they link the IO to that robot thing? I hope they add the sixaxis motion sensing and rumble and make the batarang dual shock 3. I really love that design. I really wish they would move beyond simple rumble, which isn't really that useful by itself (I'm shot: rumble. My turbo booster/afterburner is on: rumble. A really large creature/vehicle is coming by: rumble), and go more towards something like Dbox/LFE based that do modulated versus constant pulsing, etc.

I haven't commented on it, but I really enjoyed SM3, too. I'm more annoyed that they keep doing a Batman and killing off the villains more than anything, but that has applied to all 3 movies now. Green Goblin SHOULD have lasted at least through 2 before killing him and paving the way for Harry to be the villain (kinda) in 3. I would have preferred Doc Oc to have either had him go entirely comatose or have his tentacles incapped or been able to take enough control instead of suiciding. Maybe to return in a relapse in 4 or something. Venom should have been driven off rather than killed in 3. Harry's equipment and gear should have been a bit more inspired by original Goblin than Xtreme sport inspired paintball mask and snowboard, but that's more of a nitpick since the plot worked rather well. I don't think the amnesia bit was really needed but was nice to see Pete & Harry's friendship (though that could have been shown more in Spidey 2 if they hadn't killed off Crazy DaFoe in 1).

I got Spiderman 3 today (along with the two Pirates movies and Apocalypto - ah... 1080p uncompressed PCM niravana!). I had skipped ultimate spiderman, so am enjoying it about as much as I hoped. Done a couple missions, but really enjoying just exploring, webslinging and crawling up walls as I go. Took MJ around the town and did a little crime fighting....

Megs' legs are a bit skinny and the scope is a bit huger than it should be as his cannon. I was hoping it would be optimized for bot like the Prime was, but the gun does look pretty cool.

This trailer looks awesome. I was initially very skeptical about this, but think that trailer is damned awesome. Hopefully they avoid the silliness of Rambo 2 and 3 and stick closer to First Blood. The Rocky Balboa blu-ray is one of my favorites, but I actually do think I prefer Rocky V as an "ending" to the saga... Hopefully Stallone will do another Cobra movie before Dredd, though.

That game sounds pretty good. Wish it could support multiple teams (say 2-6) with different colors or something and select between human and alien. My goal would be as I posted before: 2-6 friends as different human paramilitary forces with the aliens as AI. Then battle and try to take over countries, with successful raids. Add infiltration missions, etc so you can play as either human or alien.

I already had a Saitek X35/X36 (the black ones before they went to the funky colors) that I actually really enjoy. This Thrustmaster Cougar is just so sturdy and awesome that I couldn't resist at such a good price. Allied Force was the Falcon 4.0 that I was looking for. That will be a definite. I'm leaning more on Pacific Fighters than IL-2 since repeating the antics of VMA-214 appeal to me more but I might eventually do both. I really wish we could have an modern analogy for ATF gold. I liked the pure variety of every major US fighter (F4, F16, F15, F14, F18, F22, etc) as well as all the MiG's and even stuff like the B2, SR-71, and Aurora.

Was able to get a great deal at a closing CompUSA and got a Thrustmaster Cougar HOTAS for $89 brand new. What are the latest and greatest simulators? I haven't been a die hard simulator guy since Janes: ATF Gold, etc. IIRC there was a new version of Falcon 4.0, but it was going by a different name... Anything else? WWI and WWII would be just as desirable as modern jets....

I have been thinking that perhaps KotoR 3 will be the MMO... kinda. I'm imagining confined to PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and/or PC servers. Maybe all 3 segmented, though if they could join them that would be great.

I would pick the Aussies before anyone else but they're the most loyal nation to the US and we should reward them appropriately.

HDNET Movies has been playing Top Gun alot recently so thought I would chime in here, though I'm only slightly less than scornful of the foppish flyboys and the soft Air Wingers and their climate controlled environments. Has there ever been rumors of a sequel? If he could ditch some of his craziness, I could see Tom Cruise pulling the Viper/Tom Skerritt role pretty well. Maybe even bring back Ice in the Jester role if they could get Val Kilmer to lose a few pounds. They could be training the next generation and use F-16's to simulate MIGs?

I liked Galaxies. I think I might have actually been partial to the twitchy combat system (I was ambivalent to the first major "Combat Upgrade" and really was hoping all along for something like Jedi Outcast/Academy), but the twin combo of the annihilation of the player-based economy and the move to the Everquest-esque Class system over the skill-based system reminiscent of WEG D6 is what drove me away. I always thought KOTOR or NJO would have been a better period. The Ep IV/V period was great for the movies, but is horrible for an MMO where nearly everyone wants to either participate or witness a lightsaber fight. Jedi are so fundamental to Star Wars that it makes a crummy setting to base an MMO around. Either you make it so very difficult and utterly futile (any nascent Jedi should have tons and tons of stormtroopers, Inquisitors, and eventually Darth Vader himself) on them before they got to any decent level of ability or make it so that the actual setting is completely invalidated. SWG managed to trod both extremes pretty much. You'd think they could have, at the very least, done at least test center servers in different settings to see what was more popular. KOTOR 3 and KOTOR-era MMO would not be mutually exclusive...

I think they could stagger it good. I expect Spidey versus Sandman to be on subplot while Spidey/Harry/Venom will be another. Basic theme is revenge and it looks like Harry will get mauled (Spidey, already feeling revenge agaisnt Sandman, getting pushed over the edge by Venom, throwing Harry's explosive grenade thing back at him, and a consequence, Spidey will be ripping Venom off. My hunch is that spidey & harry will team up against Venom. The Aunt May stuff will be minor on clock time, like in Spidey 2, and MJ will take what's left.
