  1. Software emulation does something like 92-93% of the games compared to 96% or so for the 60GB. I really doubt you'll notice a difference. Just don't get a 40GB (no BC).
  2. RTi8 are discontinued in favor of of the 2008 model RTiA5. CSi3 is replaced by the CSiA4. If you can still get the older ones, I think they'll be realistically just as good. I have the RTi10 for the front (great deal on Frys discontinued). Buddy of mine picked up the 8s. They're pretty good speakers. I don't think you'll really notice the difference between 123 and 14 gauge, myself, but there are guys on AVS forum who swear by that stuff.

    Thunder Hammer

Awesome. I would buy another 1/48 if it was done like THAT!
  4. Got the update last night and watched about 1/3 of Kingdom of Heaven. Great movie, great PQ and now finally great AQ worthy of it. I'm sure my neighbors hate me now more than ever.
  5. Finally played some Warhawk again. new 1.3 added the wrench and healing. Forgot how much I missed it. Where are the members at? Anyone want to join, send a message to PSN: Uxi and I'll send a clan Invite.
  6. Must.have.YF-21. Already have it pre-ordered... but hope I can wait out HLJ. I'll probably end up buying it from Frank & Sons as soon as I see it.
  7. Are there any alternate cuts of Serenity? We can hope for that as well (best yet a seamlessly branched that would let you switch between alternate and theatrical cuts if desired).
  8. Seriously. And they SHOULD. I can well envision a Mail in / exclusive 7 foot Star Destroyer playset.... Course, GI Joe has never come close to matching that since. The Shuttle set was interesting, but I've always wanted the Flagg. I still regret letting my parents get rid of my mint vintage Joe Vehicles. Had the Skystriker, the Black Version with the neon tips, the X-19 Stealth Fighter, 2 of the Cobra Night Ravens (one was missing a couple pieces but the other was complete) and assorted ground vehicles.
  9. I liked the Sci Fi mini-series, especially the actors for the first one, though the chic playing Alia in the second was pretty hot. The production standards are noticibly sci-fi, though, and a bit... cheesy. I like the production standards of the first movie... obviously big hollywood budget... but the acting, especially from Kyle McLaughlin, is so corny. Some of it's not his fault... but look at how skimpy Chani's scenes are in the Lynch movie. Even in the extended cuts... And let's talking about the "weirding" modules/weapons. Awesome to see Jean-luc holding a pug and screaming his war cry, though.
  10. I must.have.that.SnakeEyes (always my favorite, even over the Visored, which I always preferred over the Commando... but that was mostly because the Commando one was a cheaper older fig... didn't have the swivel arm grip, etc. The 25th Commando fares much better to Ninja Snake Eyes, but v3 was always my favorite... I still have the Vintage visored/Ninja and v3 but can't seem to find my vintage Commando. Probably ended up burning or burying him or throwing him in the neighbors pool.
  11. Right but if you filed his left leg armor down to the strap, it would come out in a splits like motion. I can make a nice "A" stance with Gree. The wrists are the best part yet, in helping to aim. The helmet, though, is one of the best removable helmets they've done. Hard enough plastic and deep enough that he's not doing the Evolutions chin poking out thing...
  12. Speaking of Sideshow... they're just a bit too... "doll" for me. Don't get me wrong, they're great figures with great quality and incredible accesories. I just wish I could see something like that in the 3 3/4 scale. I would gladly pay $20 for a good figure with 18-20 points of articulation, a couple separate outfits/changable parts, and a good number of accessories. Basically just like the Sideshows but scaled in line with Hasbros other stuff. Hasbro really did a good job with the clones. I like the new Gree as it makes some refinements. The armor does limit articulation but it SHOULD.
  13. The Qui-Gon has a funky face sculpt, though. I just need a perfect Obi-wan to mate up. Darth Nihilus is easily one of my favorite figures of the year. They knocked that one out of the park. I wish I could have seen the extras the first wave of Evo figures had. Ah well. I definitely need more TotJ figures. Hopefully Mandalore is the first of many. I would like to see Lord Kaan, Lord Hoth, Pernicar, Farfalla, Githany, etc to go with Bane.
  14. They will. Keep it fair and compare it on a quarter to quarter basis. Keep it in context and realize that sales around the Christmas season are always greater than they are in the "5th quarter." Do you care to lay any odds on whether Q4 '08 wil be more expensive or cheaper than they were in Q4 '07? By aping his red defeatism, you're definitely not helping. Instead it kinda looks like you tacitly agree... but just don't want to be out in the open with it. Consider the sources... Both Gizmodo and TG were as red leaning as any site on the intarweb. Easily as comparably partisan to blu-ray.com...
  15. I have the Vintage IG Destro and until this new one, it was one of my favorite Vintage Joes (along with v2 Snake Eyes, v3 Snake Eyes, and v2 Storm Shadow). Of the 25th figures, my favorites are v2 Snake Eyes, IG Destro, v1 Snake Eyes, v2 Storm Shadow... in that order. Had no issues with my joints, that sucks, mang.
  16. It would be hollow. The Q-rau is a good analogy, though, and was much cheaper than a Valk. Unlike the Q-rau, Yamato could milk the mold some with different versions (scout versus missile versus standard, etc).
  17. For you guys doing customs, what are you using for grips? Just sink pipes or anything else suitable? most sink pipes seem to be too thin... most of the old recipes from The Big Yellow Box or whatever it was called were using sink pipes with PVC over it...
  18. I've got a few FX sabers, so hope that someone (I don't care who) revisits the regular props. I want a few for the theater I'm going to build.
  19. It will come eventually. Penton-man, an insider on Blu-ray.com confirmed it. The rest is all about timing. FTR, it's just over 15% of Blu-ray Discs that have DTS-HDMA.
  20. Wow, I had an MX440 like 4 Video cards ago. Then went to an FX5200 (IIRC), then a 6800GT, then a 45nm 8800GT. Now I'll be doing a 98XX if/when those are out. Be looking to break 4Ghz again, too, but this time on a quad core and in a 64bit enviorment with more than 4GB of RAM. So very glad I didn't get the 4GB of RAM from Apple on my penryn MBP... it would have been $400 from Apple, but it's only $100 from Crucial.
  21. BD-ROM are down to about $150 IIRC. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827106227 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827106225 I picked up a SATA DVD burner for $20 from PCClub. If you must have it in an all-in-one, though, you're in the 180-220 range and could go for: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827129016 My eyeballs are still on a 4x Blu-ray burner, for about $400-600. I'd prefer the Sony, but the Pioneer is only $420
  22. Heh, the skirts DO look good. I still wish they were just doing another set of characters or something instead of rehashing the classics. At least do something like Trials and Tribble-ations or whatever with the stock footage.
  23. I doubt anyone would notice the difference between a 60 and 80 myself. That said, I looove my 60/160 and wouldn't trade it for anything.
