Heh, I'd get it. They could use mostly existing M7 footage, too. Go with d3v's idea on Basara losing his voice, as well as the climax battle where even Basara succumbs to Geperenitchi's power... Bomba!

Which version of Macross Plus do you prefer?
Uxi replied to ShizumaRobo's topic in Movies and TV Series
I definitely like the VF-11 battle versus the rogue Zentraedi power armor. I also like the opening from the movie version. I definitely like Lucy's tig 'ol bitties and that it fits the story for why Isamu didn't go help Myung better, too. I didn't think the "accident" was as well done as the friendly fire (and the battroid fight), but I can see the duplication that results and why they compressed it that way for movie edition. I like the little scenes we see of the "Monster-bane" heavy arm cannon. I think Guld's squished eyeball and compressed gut was good but thought the zig-zagging all over the place was a bit silly, though it's a much more moving ending. The movie version is definitely more concise and flows better, so it would win in an "either/or." Ultimately, I think the "fan-edit" or more accurately, an "Extended Edition Movie" would be best IMO. Include the VF-11/Zentraedi fight as a flashback, shortly after Isamu's arrival, perhaps. Include the battroid fight but leave out the "accident" maybe. Edit out the zig-zagging and just have a quit shot of Guld's movie "delimiter" mode, crunching gut, eye-squish and grin then KamikazeSlam! and queue the sad Myung song. Then, of course, as credits roll show the young trio all happy to evoke that sense of tragedy. And then at the end of the credits tell us what happened to Isamu and Myung and/or preview "Macross Plus 2" which has Isamu in Millar's role as they test YF-24 versus YF-26. -
And a VF-19F and VF-19S. I would sooooo love that. Would be interesting to get Bandai's take versus Yamato's... VF-171 and VF-17 would be great, as well. Hopefully we could get the Varauta mecha, too, if not a big rubber Guravil.

While I'm not a fan of Macross 7......(Macross F)
Uxi replied to ShizumaRobo's topic in Movies and TV Series
I would like to know what happened to Isamu and Myung.... and I'd also like to see Macross 7 itself again, with its' squadrons of VF-19F and VF-22S Diamond Force. Gamlin as a big wig... -
I still have all the PsychoKorps scripts I got from way back in the day. Always intended to do a resub on the DVD boots I got a few years back, but never got around to it.... Would be great to find someone else who has done it for me. How are the CentralAnime subs?

I don't give two craps about all of Heilein's sociopolitical allegory... I just want to see the Mobile Infantry in powered armor.

Yeah that would be nice for a good PS3 game. I am also hoping for VF-X3. Everything from VF-0 and SV-51 through VF-1A/J/S/X, VF4, VF11B/C, VF17, YF-19, YF-21, VF-19A/F/S, VF-22, and VF-25. They could throw in the Varauta, Protodevlin, Zentraedi (at least the Regult, Glaug, Gnerl, Nos-Ger and Q-Rau), Meltran, and Destroids. 16-32 player online multiplayer, please.

Official 1/60 YF-21 News & Picture Thread (ver.2)

I can get the fuel pod/tail fin FP off without the tail loose. It's all on the positioning of the tail fin and the appropriate leverage. I wish the belly FP plates went on like the 1/72... I'll get it closed up perfectly and am loathe to open it up for the Stand Peg or the FP on. I was transforming my 1/60 YF-19 and the YF-21 is definitely more complicated in transform but I'm amazed at how much thinner the YF-21 is. YF-19 is almost chunky. Very sleek and beatiful fighter mode, I definitely agree. Not sure what you mean about the gunpods. They attach very secure in both the hands on the fighter. For fighter make sure you're pushing it in all the way until it clicks... not once, but twice. For the hands, just make sure trigger finger is in the trigger well, grip is closed and that the hand is on the peg. Durability wise I'm still most concerned about the T-bar plastic loops but I am feeling better than I did on day 1. Probably take some pics of mine this weekend. -
I love Crank. One of my favorite Blu-rays. "I know what I have to do." " Well a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do... so what you gotta do?" :D Transporter 1 was great but Transporter 2 kinda sucked. Way too over the top and unrealistic (especially knocking the bomb off his car, which then lands without a scrape or any damage). The Jackie Chan type stunt in the room with the pipes was funny but not quite what Statham should be doing. Supposedly, Crank 2 is in production, too.

I can confirm that, as well. It's actually pretty obvious if you think about it and look at the positioning of the seat when it's the vertical position and what the seat would be in the way of if you went back to fighter without that. IOW, it's a necessity and perhaps unintentional as a "feature." -
YF19 FP are a cinch compared to the YF-21's. At first I really didn't like the idea of the magnet but it works really easy.

Definitely nice pics. I put the fodildo on last night and it looks great. I'm afraid I'll lose those little pegs if I leave the thing on there, though. Am I the only one who wishes the intake detail was a deep duct looking thing instead of having the visible turbine? -

Probably, I'm thinking we see some gray gunpods when Isamu's is getting loaded in the movie edition and I don't recall Fast Packs until they leave for Earth... I'm kinda hopin we'll get an accessory pack with foldildo, blue hunpods, Ghost X9, and maybe a VF-22S canopy and face (though really doubting that last part since a resculpt / variant is the more likely path). -

There have been a couple every few weeks. Not to the frequency they are in the Christmas shopping season, but I'd call that one a no-brainer. -
The Blu-ray is pretty bad ass. Visuals and Sound are top notch. 7.1 lossless had bullets whizzing all around me. The plot was a bit too abrupt and might have done better with the deleted scenes mixed back in (I hope this, via seamless branching, becomes the norm at least one of these days). Thought the mercs let him join them a bit too easy, too. I think a better plot that might have fit in better would have been Rambo leading mercs/commandos semi-regularly in and out. But then, I think the ideal Rambo plot would have him revisiting the guys from Rambo 3 but on the other side.

I'll see if I can get a pic of mine to not come out all blurry. I'd be interested in seeing if some of you other guys have had the same thing happen or not. On the whole, i love it. Very nice and tight in all modes. I love the gunpods and their attachment method and how tight they click in. Love the tampo printing on the fundamental emblems. Design wise, I'd have preferred clear plastic for the running lights on the tail fins, wing tips, etc. like the 1/48 instead of the painted corners that the 1/60s all have. Would have been a nice complement to the eye sensors, etc. I also would have preferred a milimeter more room for the stowage of the knees in Fighter. Last nitpick is that the tail fins and side covers have those plastic loops as does the area I'm eyeballing as a potential BP8 (the plastic loops around the t-bar). I would prefer individually articularted fingers/hands but these are a big big improvement over the 1/48 chicken hands. Lastly, the landing gear thing that Graham noted in his review is very prominent. They got that so right with the 1/60 YF-19 FP... no real excuse to not have that on the YF21. These are all nitpicks, though, it should be carefully noted. My concern over the T-bar is my only eyebrow raiser. Definitely satisfied owner so far, though. With these prices, though, I doubt I'll be getting another YF-21.... but I will be watching for a VF-22S and most certainly going to get one. Just about any color scheme would work just fine, too, though Gamlin Dynamite would be top on my list. -

More of the latter, probably. I did preorder it when it first came out (and posted to that in this thread... or maybe it was the previous one). When was it, October or December? -

Yeah I got through it. Mostly by doing that part last. IOW, straightening out the foreward fuselage part and then pulling the cockput up and forward. Mostly the forward edge of the cowl needs to leverage against the back end of the cockpit, almost in a prying motion. First time was easy but that one was a bit hairy. I've noticed a couple trouble areas, as well... Most likely caused by this transformation though I was being careful not to force anything... 1) twin whitish stress marks on the understide of the cockpit, where the joint is, just aft of the front landing gear. 2) the T-bar where the wings/rear "fuselage" join the intakes/"forebody"... there are is a metal peg but one of the two ends has the plastic broken/chipped off. I definitely did not notice that the first transformation. I just went through another transformation that was smooth. I was initially afraid of the side covers and the tail fins, but now I'm most concerned about that T-bar area, particularly if the plastic on the other end fails, too. I tried to get a pic with my 5mp cam, but I stink at taking pics of toys, espcially close up. I tried half push, etc. Most likely it's too dark now. The toy is amazingly well put together, but I fear this could well be the BP8 of the YF-21, though... unless I got a strange lemon, which is always possible. -

Hmm... ok, getting a bit scared. Completed one transformation to fighter and back (skipping gerwalk). Everything seemed nice and tight, but wanted to adjust a bit more. now I have both legs off and can't get the head to unlock. It's like the cowl is stuck and I don't want to force it.... cockpit is fully extended, too... help! -

Got the scare of my life when I was doing the first transform and the right leg came off. It's nice and secure now that I put it back on. QC wise, the only real issue seems to be the side cover on the right UnderBody panel is much looser than the left. It locks down in all modes Fighter/Battroid/Gerwalk, so it's mostly a non-issue. Long term wise, both of those side covers scare the hell out me ala shades of BP-8, but so far no sign of any stresses or anything, of course. -

Played around all lunch. Wasn't brave enough to start a transformation yet, but definitely loving this fighter mode. Put on the FP, and the gunpods on fighter without FP. Pulled out the landing gear, etc. Interesting that we're getting the clear tape everwhere. Gonna be as close to MISB as we're likely to get. -
