  1. I've been comparing N96 against iphone myself. Biggest reason: few hundred dollars. Likely as many as 5 or more.
  2. The head and board of Toshiba just need to hurry up and commit sepukku or something cause they're coming off as extreme sore losers. Even Sony went to VHS... Toshiba needs to just suck it up and offer a Blu-ray player that can do HDDVD good instead of just forsaking the poor saps who backed their horse.
  3. I don't really want an other IG Destro, even though I love my carded one. Are the IG's themselves going to be single carded or army packed?
  4. Still havne't seen it a second time, though was hoping to do an IMAX. Maybe this weekend if I'm not too busy...
  5. Wow, that Lego thing is huuuuuge. My cousin bought the big $300 ISD kit and I thought that was big...
  6. Lots and lots and lots. Some 30 years, though I've only read Thrawn trilogy, duology, some of the KJA blech and then NJO. They've already gone at least 10 years beyond NJO. I haven't read any of Legacy (comics or novels). Comics supposedly go what a hundred plus years in teh future? Or less? I wish they would go to KOTOR and/or TotJ for animation. Still haven't seen the Clone Wars movie and will probably really wait for the Blu-ray...
  7. You ran entirely the wrong way with that. The concept is that the character uses art for psychological insight. It was used once species wise. The other instances where he's looking at art, it's specific to individuals. IIRC he had the Corellian Senator idol guy of Han, who's name escapes me at the moment. He also had Ackbars at a different point. I don't think they've done nearly enough, really. There are ENORMOUS implications to cloning. If they have that technology down, you could grow organic hands, organs, etc and Luke wouldn't need the cybernetic one, for example. Mortality is another. Dune touched on it, but it was particular to Dune's setting and technology... Most Sci-Fi doesn't explore the concepts of their technology. Trek, for example, has ridiculously ignored many aspects of theirs...
  8. The Sony "Game Modes" are all about turning off processing, etc which induces lag. The color maps, etc are all on a separate setting "Pro, Torch mode, etc."
  9. Dent could well be alive... and a key plot point of the next movie with his attempted escape from Arkam... They left it open ended for either interpretation... Hasn't Eckhard said he'd be willing to come back?
  10. Heh, him and Batman fell the same distance... the knife-resistant/neckturning/not bullet proof armor protected him from the blunt force trauma of a medium height fall?
  11. That carrier looks bad ass. So does the new scarlett and CC.
  12. Starfighters could be useful in a patrol/recon role but any hard sci-fi recognizes the big carrier/cruiser would actually be both faster, more maneuverable, and (obviously) have much heavier armor and many weapon systems the size of the whole fighter.
  13. Laugh at the movie, not the articulation.
  14. 8-3 to 8-9? Then it's already out? Anyone got it? I heard the movie is pretty horrible... if that fig is decently articulated I might get it just to laugh at, though.
  15. Catwoman would be ok... Except for the whole Nine Lives schtick, I still like Pfeiffer's Catwoman and think it could translate well. They should introduce the "normal" character in the next movie and maybe make her Catwoman in the 4th. I definitely think there should be a Robin/Nightwing angle. Keep him for one or two movies as Robin and then transition him to Nightwing... Done in a more serious manner, it can avoid any camp but the character(s) are an important part of the Batman story.
  16. Hopefully they do the extra articulation and all that, too. I could maybe see myself getting a new Evil Horde... For myself, at least, He-Man is just a bit too... gay...
  17. Catwoman could be good. And I think Ledger could well be replacable. Don't get me wrong, he definitely a home run in the role but I think a good amount of credit should go with the direction and screenplay, as well. I'd say don't replace him until #4 maybe... Riddler and Catwoman could be a good combo. Are they going to try to introduce a Robin, though? FWIW, Batman Forever is my favorite of the last movie series. I liked Keaton but always thought the Nicholson Joker and DeVito Penguin were just a silly as the Governator's Freeze (which wasn't THAT bad IMO).
  18. Primary purpose would be high def for the bedroom without needing to also have a PS2 plugged in. Mostly I want a silver one for the front where all my stuff is silver (even the faceplate on my 360, my AVR, my DVD player, TV stand, etc). The front I most definitely to have PS2 and SACD capability as I desire to move the black PS3 to either my bedroom or my dedicated front-projector theater I'm planning.
  19. Maybe they call pull a "stepping out of the shower" and still have Sylar die with Nathan... it was all in Peter's head as a "what if?"
  20. Still doesn't make sense, at least for that reason. It's not like the 60/20GB hardware compatible versions are missing much BC that they need to have it added at all. A better (though still stupid) reason would be that they don't want to track different forms of the software for their testing environment (still doesn't really gel, though). I'll make sure I buy another one if they ever do that and take my 60/160 off the net, though. I wish the gunmetal one was an 80 (if not a 60) or I might have gotten that one. That said, the PS2 BC was more of an initial concern than one that pertains today. I was still playing PS2 games last year but haven't touched one all year. It's still better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it, though. The SACD support is much more important to me, these days, being a nascent fan into the format.
  21. Nice to see the IG's, the greenshirts and that CG pack. Even if I hate that waist ball joint and wish they went Cobra Commander style on the CG's, I'ma have to get that pack. Want a Cobra blueshirt pack with 4 grunts, 1 NCO/officer. Give them AK-47's instead of SKS... the Mobat was one of my first GI Joe toys too. Wonder if it will have the motorized tracks.... The Conquest looks much like the vintage. I was kinda hoping they would "realify" it with black/gray engine nozzles and gray/white missiles with markings, if not a low-viz/stealth scheme. Guess thats' what customizing is for... That Duke would look great except for the ugly ass wrist joint/mold. They need to give him a watch or something and move the joint to the wrist itself.
  22. Heh, already started downloading a few minutes ago.
  23. I want them in scale. GI Joe sized shock trooopers sound great. I'd get at least 5 or 6...
  24. If they make it even half as realistic as the BBI, I will get 2 of the YF-23.
