  1. I would definitely get at least two.

    Macross II Valks

I <3 the Metal Siren and VF-2SS SAP. I always loved the Destroids, particularly the Phalanx II (and was never a big fan of the original Phalanx).
  3. Statement: Just finished building the HK-47 Build-A-Droid. Observation: Great articulation. Ball jointed elbows and articulated wrists make killing meatbags easy even without ball jointed shoulders. Observation: Leg articulation is good, too, with ball jointed knees and ankles that make chasing down meatbags easy. Exclamation: Great figure!
  4. This phone rocks. It's 5mp cam and flash have pretty much replaced my point and shoot. Great quality. I routinely run 4-5 apps at a time without any performance hit and have lurked this site more than a few and posted to some other message boards. Great browser, good speed, all the connectivity options and bells and whistles you could ask for. If I could remember my pass here, I'd make a post or two. pic (not mine): http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y159/itzj...69/_DSC0042.jpg and vid that perfectly captures my performance:
  5. Masterpiece Grimlock looks great. Almost bought him, but I'll wait for the price to come down a little bit.
  6. I thought we were going to see one in March-April, but that didn't happen. With them still bleeding money, even if it's a little amount, I just don't see it happening.
  7. I did buy an Art Asylum Enterprise-A the other day. Very nice. I think I'm going to give up on getting a Bandai 1701-A since they go for an atrocious amount on Ebay. Did Bandai lose/not renew the license or something? I was hoping they were reissue them... Until then, the AA will have to do.... couple bad mold lines (especially on the front connecting fin between the primary and secondary hull right above the photon torpedo launcher. The Aztec detailing is pretty good and I'm pretty impressed for a mass produced toy.
  8. Nope... put my original 60GB in place from the 320GB that I had upgraded to a few months ago. Also tried again today and still doing the same thing. Most likely the motherboard needs to reflowed. At this point deciding if it's worth my time/inconvenience to fix myself or just pay the $150.
  9. Ate the YLOD last night. Was in Home, blanked out. Dayum.
  10. Yeah pleasant surprise. It could use some space combat in that nifty ship design that got wasted.
  11. Yeah that stuff is pretty cool. What season does that stuff take off in? I used to always sneer at DS9 and prefered B5... but they flip flopped somewhere along the way. Mostly, I was disapointed with teh anti-climactic nature of the way JMS conducted adn resolved the Shadow War while the progress and conclusion of the Dominion War is eminently much more satisfying.
  12. I generally only like II and VI, the rest far behind. I like pieces of III and IV as a continuation of that arc (mostly hate the Genesis planet and whale/1980s stuff). Not the norm, I know I prefer at least pieces of V to most of IV (excepting the "continuation").
  13. PS4? I'm imaginging PSP Go, PS3 Slim... Gran Turismo 5. I'd love to see a Macross Ace Frontier for PS3.
  14. I rate this movie thus: fun: yay sfx: yay plot: nay Two out of three aren't bad. The rest is just picking a nit that's fun. Why are you enjoying the rape of childhoods? On a happier note, I did get the 6 disc Blu-ray set from Costco for only $65 bucks. $10 a movie is not bad at all. You want a Trek masterpiece, it's TWOK! "Khaaaaaaaaaaan!"
  15. lol, if sales are the measure of success, Uwe Boll, Schumacher, and Bay are creative masters. If I drudge up some anecdotes about a friend of mine who graduated from the USC film school, will that give it any credibility? I say we have a Next Generation tie in. Stone Cold Steve Austin can be Jean-Luc Picard while Danny DeVito can play Worf.
  16. I haven't used a mousepad in years, since going to optical... 2004 or so?
  17. I went to SP3 on my VAIO and wife's computer without issue. I spend most of my days on my MBP these days. Even when I'm at home, I'm just hooked into my firewire drives and 24" Dell. The sad part is that I built a new gaming rig awhile back that never really got going. E6850, 8800GTS, etc. Now I'm thinking of putting that into my wife's case maybe with a year of Windows 7 RC while I build myself a Core i7 and a true monster of a GPU like 4GB monstrosity that was just announced
  18. Unfortunately, it's nothing new. I would still like for them to just use their fancy CGI and what not and simply make a live version of the animated 1980s movie. "You got the touch!"
  19. The reboot just wasn't needed here. Most of the plot can be done just by ignoring previous events, of course, especially if they don't have relevence. Kirk's parentage, etc don't need to enter the picture if the main character isn't Kirk. Can't there be another young brash guy? If it must be Kirk and Spock (which I like the idea of and Quinto certainly looks the part), why does the entire supporting cast of the original series also need to be represented? I could have bought it if it was just the "big three" (Kirk, Spock, McCoy)... maybe Scotty, but all the others either had to be much younger or a retcon is now needed for them to be a bunch of mediocre delinquents in the original series timeframe. There isn't another Asian who knows martial arts in Starfleet in the same timeframe as Kirk? There isn't another black communications chick? Another Russian who doesn't have to be retconned as a freak prodigy instead of just being a wet behind the ears young guy with a Monkeys/Beatles haircut? Why not just give them all different names so suspension of disbelief can be confined to the science instead of the fiction? Make it a Vulcan colony world instead of Vulcan itself and there's nothing to say the story couldn't have happened in the original series timeframe with some creative writing. But it's easier to fall back into a favorite of star trek drek and go with time travel. Again.
  20. There are a whole load of zones. At least 7 or 8 IIRC but I want to say 9 or 10. Xi lets you do all sorts of riddles and mini-games if you're into that. You can do Texas Hold'em in the EA Sports area, as well as race and what not to get free shirts, etc. THe social aspect doesn't look to be materializing as much as they probably wanted (for whatever reason) but there is much much more to do in Home than there was at launch. It's still in Beta, though, mostly because it's a completely new way to look at it. They're continually opening new spaces IIRC, it's supposed to be at least one per month for the rest of the year.
  21. No worries. FWIW, I have over 8000 hours on my SXRD's original lamp. Need to get around to ordering another and keep the used as a temp spare. Doubt I'll ever go through more than 2 before I replace the set anyways, but theoretically I could buy a few and keep them going indefinitely, even though m inor ancillary parts (mostly the 120mm fans) appear to fail in some instances. I was never a fan of DLP but it's the only game in town nowadays if you don't want a flat panel. Most LCD's are a big step back in performance and plasmas price/size-performance ratio always pretty bad. Kuro came a ways to levelling but still far more expensive than the equivalent rear projection.
