Eh? I'm doing fine. Since my original 1/60 run (Roy, Hikaru 1J, Max, 2xCF) , I bought a single 1/48 since my 2x Low Viz, the Hikaru 1S. Other than that, a single YF-19FP and single YF-21. Gamlin VF-22S en route. It's called self control and only buy what you really want. I haven't bought any 1/60 VF-1 v2 yet. People compelled to buy every single thing are no different than gambling addicts, if not addicts in general. Yamato is still probably the best game in town and the developments on the DYRL Macross are disappointing, but hardly a deal breaker. This is basically an expensive limited production garage-kit exclusive and priced accordingly instead of the mass market piece most of us wanted (I was definitely in wait and see mode after passing on the Wave). Price out the competition, namely Bandai and see if one likes the value better. For the cheap/broke the 1/100 and 1/144 lines are there, if not something non-transformable like the GNU or Revoltechs (I have a few of those).

That guy's obviously nursing a grudge.

Only if you consider the current YF-19 'half assed.' If you do, you're welcome to a Bandai Blazer valk bootleg or model that is the only alternative, instead.
-
Buddy of mine did the same thing with his v1 GBP and with his Alphas. Just used those q-tip things and a piece of plastic with painted red tip.
-
Right, I know those are all supposed to be different. I'm just saying that reusing the existing parts wouldn't make it really all that more inaccurate than the YF-19 toy is from the actual YF-19 in anime.

I want a low viz VF-22. Gamlin is close but the yellow accents ruin the whole low viz thing (great scheme and I do like the Diamond Force scheme... it's just not low viz). Much lighter shade of grey like the 1/48 Low Viz v1 with some of the F-22 Raptor paint scheme on it... Darker grey accents and markings (including low viz UN Spacy Kite), gold/mirrored canopy. mmm

Was gonna start watching my bootlegs again (still love that set. Better than the FX). Started a download of the 108GB remastered box. This torrent is going slooooow.... Only 3 seeders and looking to be about 14 days at this point.

No, I want the right shaped wings, head, samurai shoulders, and legs duh. It would only be as "completely half assed" as the YF-19 itself is. Which is a great effort.

I loved the Mecha, especially the Metal Siren, VF-2SS SAP, and the Marduk Commanders armor. Also prefer the Destroids over the originals, especially the Phalanx-II. The story was pretty good, too, even if it seems like a complete rehash of DYRL.

Still, when a worthy pilot like Gamlin or Kinryu got in, VF-11C tore up the Varauta. Ultimately, the whole point of Macross 7 was that the super advanced Valkyries in first Diamond Force (VF-17), Emerald Force (VF-19), and eventually even Max and Milia themselves in VF-22S were not ever going to beat the Protodevlin and that conventional warfare was doomed to failure. Even the preening primadonna has his custom red singing VF-19 Kai get torn apart. I <3 the VF-11C, though and will probably get 2 or 3. The third depending if there's going to be an armor set for it, or not. Really hope Yamato is cranking on a VF-17 right now, though.

I'd love to see them do customizable VF-11, VF-19A, and VF-22S.
-
My YF-19FP r0x0rs. Gets a bit looser with the FP, but looks so much better and since the dimensions on the VF-19F/S wouldn't be changing, it could be made just as tight. Add a lock for the chest in battroid and it'd be perfect.

The apparent overall concept for VF-19S matches that for VF-22S and takes the Super Nova fighter and builds in the FAST packs. The rest is just samurai decoration. Look at some of their previous efforts though. I don't say that in a bad way, but all that "Needs" to change for VF-19F/S is: 1) shoulders 2) legs (lower certainly, but could probably reuse the upper and get away with just the lower between the knees and feet). 3) head 4) wings (just the tips, the existing wing-root/hips would still be used. Reuse the same feet, arms, body, canopy, etc Minor bit of resculpting around the area with the removed canards. Yamato could definitely get away with that. Dimensions on the legs and shoulders simply need to match the endpoints already existing on the YF-19FP with the FAST Packs attached. Everything else should be reusable and the rest is the appropriate paint job, tampo printing, and stickers. It might not match perfectly, but thanks to anime magic none of the Valkyries really does anyway, even the YF-19 we already have. The VF-19 Kai would be even easier since it's a hybrid of YF-19/VF-19A (wings, canards) with VF-19F/S legs and shoulders (well except for the whole speaker thing ). So Yamato would still get good milking out of their mold and be able to release Fire and Blazer valks that trash the old Bandais and their bootleg descendants.

I'm in for 1/2000 for $500 if it includes Daedalus, Prometheus, and 2 ARMD's.
-
I'm talking the original light grey one that came out when Zero was still only on the first or second ep. It was right before the dollar started tanking IIRC.

Waiting for Gamlin to ship. Hurry up, HLJ!
-
Good stuff. In addition to a canopy shield, another item you might want to consider are intake duct "wells" that cove up the turbine blades we never saw before Yamato 1/60.
-
I want to say I got mine for about $120 or so, each from HLJ.... It's definitely a seller's market, though.

v20 firmware for N97 rocks. They fixed the worst of the bugs and finally got the iSync plugin going today. Love it so much more than my work iPhone 3G. -
TWOK got the best treatment on Blu-ray... I do want the cut footage but this is the best it's ever looked and sounded.
-
Wow, get a couple for $90 and customize the rest of Diamond Force
-
Wow, yeah guess this isn't happening.

Too bad they're not SNELL rated... those would be awesome on a motorcycle

He's a sci-fi artillery piece. Super articulated robot and the cannon mode for "realism" while IIRC the G1 toy could also be used as as a sort of scifi pistol. They could make that work a bit better, as well. I always thought Megatron would have made more sense as a modern M198 style artillery piece than a huge TF-sized handgun or tank, etc.
