There is MUCH more to do in Home. I took a few months off from it (mostly pissed that I lost all the settings that were on my YLOD PS3). There's alot more games in there and alot more To DO. If Sony really intended it as a 2nd Life type thing, it's fail, but there are some pretty fun things to do now (Try Sodium - with the flying tanks and all that. It's free to start and get used to it, you can keep going if you want to pay the $5 for your avatar). Linking with other games is still haphazard but has potential. You buy the Star Trek DAC game, for example, you get the movie uniforms to put on your avatar. More conventional is stuff like Bandai did with their Namco Arcade thing (win pacman shirt, dig dug hat, etc). Just about every space has it's own free mini-games, but I can and have spent a couple hours in the EA Sports space playing Poker, winning jackets and hats and shirts and what not. Try it again if you haven't tried it in awhile. I haven't been to half the spaces but noticed that most of the spaces I was going to on Japan and HK accounts are now in the US space, as well (though they still have a couple unique ones, as well).

Variable Fighter Master File VF-1 Valkyrie Vol. 1
Uxi replied to sketchley's topic in Movies and TV Series
Damn you people... now I had to go and get this on evilbay. What was the going rate for these in US stores? Curious if I got burned or not. -
Any speculation on the capacities? I'm gonna have to watch a few episodes and see if it's possible to count the number of missiles coming out of Gamlin's VF-17 now. The VF-22's look really hard, too. I'm thinking VF-19's 12 'medium' or 24 'light' are the upper limit for any of the others, especially given VF-19's relatively unique delivery system. VF-17 is limited to launching 4 at a time (still, it's gotta be similar to the VF-11's FP launchers and that thing pumps them out pretty quick in the M7 footage). VF-11's system should probably be on the table, too since it should be the same generational platform as the VF-17's. For that matter, what are the yields of these micro-missiles? And is the type ever given or hinted anywhere? Certainly not the same ones they were using in the GBP-1 or the like.

It was in the "surprise" thread where someone found out they fit in the gaps between the wing joints. EDIT: here it is: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...st&p=770373 Not canon, of course, but looks pretty good.

I love the Gamlin scheme the best, but like Max's too. Never been real fond of Miria's red scheme valks for some reason, though always loved Max's blue. I will, however, LOOOOOOVE if they do an F-22 style metallic low-viz on an VF-22. Right now, I'm fighting to resist the Max, but won't be able to resist a good low-viz non-canon VF-22S.

Are these ones good? http://www.meritline.com/verbatim-6x-dl-dv...---p-18457.aspx I'll probably apply try the patches and apply these before I get these writable discs. I've only burned about 5 so far on the non-printable discs (I had previously bought Memorex 8x DVD+R DL from Target) and they work fine burned from my MacBook Pro. I just want to be able to print some disc art on them instead of doing the ghetto sharpie thing.

To celebrate my new bedroom TV (52" Bravia LCD), just did the DIY YLOD repair and have my OG 60GB (with a 320GB installed) repaired and running. Bought 12/06, YLOD 6/09, resurrected 12/09. Bought a Drake's Fortune bundle after the price drop. Didn't have a recent backup and didn't want to lose progress on a bunch of games so knew I would eventually get around to a DIY repair. For the most part, it's very simple. If you've built your own computer or server, you can easily do this. The hardest part is taking it apart slowly enough that you don't yank on any of the ribbon cables, but Sony thankfully used a latch system that makes them easy to pull and easy to put back in. Was a bit uncertain with the heat gun part, but bought a $25 one at Home Depot and it worked swimmingly. First thing I did was get a good full backup to an external USB drive. Then I cherry picked some saved game files (GTA IV, LBP especially) to an external USB (my cell phone, to be precise) and put them on the Drake's Bundle with no issue. Had a brief issue of no wifi or bluetooth since I forgot to reconnect and/or relatch the bluetooth/wifi board to the mobo, but once I corrected that, everything 100% operational. Had firmware 2.76 on it, and missed the elegant simplicity that 3.00 has mucked up with PS Store adverts everywhere. Grudgingly did a software update anyways, so I can get my trophies to update there. Now I face the awkward issue of only playing certain games on certain consoles or going through the PITA to transfer the saved games from bedroom to living room (or vice versa). For now, I'm playing God of War collection and NBA2k on the bedroom set and playing Uncharted 2 and others on the living room set. Have watched plenty of Blu-rays and can attest to 100% functionality. now that I have a good backup, will probably send it to Sony for $150 if it dies again (most people get a few months after a DIY repair), since the main obstacle is now past (I REALLY did not want to play Three Leaf Clover again. ) Here's a good vid that I used as a brief guide:

How many micro missiles are stored in the internal magazines for VF-17, VF-19, and VF-22? The Compendium gives the amount of launchers, but not the size of the magazines (except for VF-19). VF-17 (2 launchers, one per side, each with 2 ports). VF-19 "Two internal Little Rock launch systems in lower leg/engine-pod bays for 12 [24] high maneuverability micro missiles (VF-19F, VF-19S only) or six medium-range high maneuverability missiles each (Pallet can be alternately equipped with other weapon packs)" Animation from Macross 7 shows Basara had 6 missiles on his leg. The recycled footage of Docker firing would seem to match that. VF-22 (4 launchers, 4 exit ports dorsal, 4 ventral). Steel Falcon usually gets it wrong by calling each exit port an individual launcher and gives the following: VF-17: 4 launchers, 2 per side, each with 4 missiles for 16 total. VF-19: 24 per launcher, 2 launchers per leg for 48 total VF-22: 12 per launcher, 4 x paired launchers for 48 total Has the Chronicles shed any detail on this? Searching the thread doesn't appear to reveal that to me....

So were Prime and Starscream, but only saw Prime once (and grabbed it) but never saw Starscream, despite looking at several on many different occasions. This is the first time I saw a shelf/pegwarmer in Masterpiece.
-
Still <3 my Masterpiece Prime, even if it's got the gimped smokestacks (wasn't someone doing recasts of these at some point?!). Just picked up MP Skywarp in Target today, which had a boat load of them. Is the canopy that dark/tinted on the Takara or is it more of a tinted/golden? On the whole, I really like it for $60. Wish I woulda saw US Starscream for that.

Oh yeah, did they fix the rear landing gear yet so that they lock or if you "taxi" backwards are they still going to fold up?
-
Left wingtip has started to get droopy on my Gamlin. Any fix for this? Def my favorite Valk and this is starting to bug. <3 fighter mode on the VF-22. Guess it'll go Battroid for awhile.
-
Meh, I've passed on all the v2 1/60 so far. I'm mostly happy with my v1 1/60 in fact, and only intend to supplement (not replace). Hey Graham, possible to encourage them to do the v1 1/60 upgrades at any point? I would still pay for the FP upgrade and new cockpits / pilots for my my Max VF-1A and my CF VF-1A. I have the old Roy encased in the old GBP and don't intend to change that...
-
Is the low-viz 1S fixed? Or the Hikaru/Roy bundles with FAST/Strike packs?
-
I'd like to see a non-canon VF-11B with the orange replaced with dark grey.
-
I like the proportions on the Yamato YF-21/VF-22, legs included. i think some of the line art and animation, especially as it's properly executed with the GNU-Do (for example), not only exemplifies anime magic but is ridiculous (especially with those giant feet).
-
Gamlin VF-22S. My favorite valk for one of my all-time favorite Macross characters in a great color scheme. And the first Macross 7 valk not done by Bandai, hopefully the first of many.
-
In my order of preference: 5. Battroid mode side covers. - these are shown in the anime for SDF: Macross. Definitely would improve 6. More detailed hands. - 5 fully articulated hands, but engineered enough that they can "lock" into a gunpod holding position without dropping the gunpod by looking at it 9. Modern day NATO bombs/missiles to attach to the VF-1 wings. 7. Ground crew and weapons carts. 4. More Tampo printing (obviously, this one could not be released as an add-on accessory). 3. Better detailing on the pilot. 10. Those pilot seats that another company made to simulate the seat rising out of the head in battroid mode. I would also like to see the removable nose cone with radome from the 1/48 come back, too. Maybe the flaps, if it can be done more accurately.

That comparison pic (great pic, btw) really makes the Milia VF-22 look more pinkish. Disappointing. I'm happy with the Gamlin VF-22S. I'll buy a non-canon low-viz... maybe the Max, depending if there are deals on it or not. But for now I'm happy.

That was just on the PS3, though, and may be a PS3 quirk. I prefer using my PS3, but easy enough for my to use my 5-disc carousel on my big setup. Still looks great! Anyone make slim covers? Trying to get my ratio up. Looks like everything is free until Christmas, so taking advantage to grab Macross Zero. I love how the one torrent included images for slim DVD case covers. Anyone make any covers for their M7 Remastered? I'm also looking for disc art to either print directly with my printer's DVD attachment or maybe do labels (those can be a PITA, though)...
