  1. Agreed. I think this thing will be about as "real" as the Soviet space shuttle was, though. But nowhere close to even the T-90 levels.
  2. Finally got it. Good stuff, but it does seem a bit more like fanon rather than something official. The comparison shot of the VF-1, VF-0, and F-14 definitely makes the VF-0 look anachronistic (the general curvy nature, but most especially the YF-19 "gem" style FLIR sensors.
  3. Guess we could do like this set actually came out in from Japan and two 8-disc sets: http://www.checkoutstore.com/Black-8-Disc-.../blkcase-8d.htm http://www.sleevetown.com/multi-dvd-case.shtml http://shop.sunpack.com/cd-dvd-albums/dvd-...c-dvd-case.html Maybe do some liner notes or something. They had copies of all the disc menus there, and that would be a great starting point for the artwork (since it would be relevent to each disc, as well). Can't seem to find it, but I have all the screenshots (about 3.2M). Anyways, I'd like to at least flesh it out by Chapter, too. EDIT: Found it: http://macrossrobotech.forosonline.es/boar...team-t1607.html Go up a level to: http://macrossrobotech.forosonline.es/boar...ub-dvd-f84.html and see the rest of the episodes. The rest is putting DVD logos and stuff if we want to make it look really good.
  4. Yeah, please post up what you do. I've been putting mine in slim cases. Stopped doing my patches at about disc 8 but about to fire - her up again and finish these all off. 15 discs of DVD+R DL here!
  5. Yup. The thrust ports are rectangular rather than bells and there are only 2 micro-missile slots in the front of each, instead of 4.
  6. Thinking about the design, I'm a bit surprised there wasn't a slight cosmetic difference. I'm thinking the canards could have been disposed with and replaced with a vernier cluster, similar to the change from YF-19/VF-19A to VF-19F/S instead of just being a repaint with different avionics and slightly different FAST Packs.
  7. So buy one, resell it down the road if you want (to me, maybe for a slight loss on your part ) and everyone is happy.
  8. Hopefully it's possible. VF-11B owners could buy these, too. General accessory sets could go for many valks, seeing how they share scale. Imagine combined weapon set(s) of NATO/JASDF external weapons being put on 1/60v2 hard points (maybe some sort of adapter for VF-11 and others?), ground crews from SDF, DYRL, M7 eras (1/60 means Yamato won't have much competition), Radome, Foldildo (already done! just repack it) with mount adapters, Beam weapon gunpod/adapter, etc Of course, the ultimate accessory is the Protect Armor, but I wouldn't be disappointed if that gigantic gunpod was also available separately. VF-11 exclusives could be used for both VF-11B, VF-11C, VF-19, the VF-17 Yamato has to be cranking on.
  9. I kinda want to get another one and just custom out the orange paint with a dark grey. VF-22 is still my fav, though.
  10. Oh yeah, the only part I'm disliking about the change in scale is that the VF-11 now has a bigger wingspan than my 1/60 VF-22 (and YF-21). I knew they upscaled it some but it definitely doesn't match the Compendiums values of 11.2m for the VF-11 wingspan compared to the VF-22's 15.36. I'd guess the VF-11 now has to be about 16m
  11. I hope low-viz grey is next but definitely liking white. Might have to be my first 1/60 v2
  12. The trick is when you get the bottom half out to THEN make sure the tab on the bottom of the nose is all the way forward. It then keeps the bottom part from sliding down before you can lock the top part over it. This is where I think detents for the lever positions could be helpful.
  13. Finally got my VF-11B today. Great toy. I love all 3 modes. Definitely one of the tightest Battroid modes out there. The shoulder/back/wing pieces should probably lock somehow but loving it. Especially the gunpod is probably the beefiest one. VF-19 gunpod almost seems a downgrade... and the bayonet is great. First transformation went pretty smooth and followed the instructions. I remember being afraid with my YF-19FP and watching Graham's video, but didn't need to do that with this one. I remember wrestling with my YF-21 and scratching up it's legs and the t-bar (might have been where a piece of it crack). I'm butter smooth with my VF-22 Gamlin, of course, and pretty quick with the YF-19 but just don't compare with the ease of the VF-11. I like the panels with the sliding leverl/button things. VF-1 could probably use something similar for it's side covers, maybe. I popped off one of those shoulder pad things and think I see a tiny white stress mark (not sure if it was putting it back on or in the popping off that did it). Just flew through the whole sequence again. Transforming back from Battroid to fighter was butter smooth and easy. I kinda wish the cockpit had a detent for the default position but I really like the way the heat shields work. Far better than the 1/48 method. Now I gotta decide which mode to display. I think I'd like one more VF-11B and 2 or 3 VF-11C to round out my 1/60 collection.
  14. Nice and clean. Way too high for my preference, though (standard is to put the center of the screen at eye level from the viewing position).
  15. Wow, that's pretty bad. Course, I still don't want to see ANY new Conan without the older "sodded" King Conan.
  16. Anyone wants to throw a beta key my way, I'd appreciate it.
  17. I haen't left Diplomacy mode yet but so far liking that game. What sort of fleets do people have? Can't recon without leaving? I have about 20 fighter at each of my 4 colonies. Couple athena battleships and a handful of Apollo and Poseidons. Been loading up on ABM and just started interplanetary missiles at my two biggest planets.
  18. Can you ask them about a future revision fixing the rear landing gear so that they can lock into place like the YF-19's?
  19. Cardassians are on the other side of the wormhole? Did you mean Dominion, instead? Initial reviews seem to indicate it's very repetitive: go here, fight there, etc.
  20. Heh, well most of us do. I put that in there to preclude the most obvious response of "anime magic."
  21. IIRC, Gamlin was released in July or thereabouts?
