Maybe. I'd want to see v2 improvements and a fix for what was it, BP9? The backpack hinge part. Reinforced/metal. Otherwise, far more interested in more 1/60, My TV Roy 1/60 is one of my favs, though.

I want them to do both 1A and 1J low-viz. I'd buy a full team of 4 birds.

I can live with it, but I never got the impression of purple from the anime. Ah well, I can live with it. See if I can resist the 17S and wait for the 17D... Hell yeah!

Is the canopy going to stay purple for production, Graham? I hope it matches the VF-22S paint scheme exactly, especially on the black/primary color, as well as the yellow.

I love the VF-17D and mostly like the VF-17S. I don't like VF-171 on principle. Should have been VF-19F standard fighters for Frontier.

I think a few percent would probably it. Not nearly as much as if they could get domestic distribution through Yamato USA and a localized version/import.

VF-22 Gamlin is still my favorite followed by my VF-27 Brera followed by my Low-Viz v1

Loved Iron Man & Iron Man 2 when they came out but they're not aging well for me. He was basically invulnerable. I can only hope for a special edition where the tank shot is a proximity high explosive and that he gets at least a minor injury from some of Hammer's bots.

Ah good point, I forgot about that. Same price for YF-19FP? I got the original YF-21 but it was awhile back. Of course, it's the biggest valk and came with the stand and FP, as well...

Right. It's about a $50 difference from now and 18 months ago, just due to the exchange rate. The MSRP has also been rising a significant amount, too. YF-21 was 18,800¥ wasn't it? This is 24,800¥, which is a 32% increase... It's 2800 more yen on MSRP than the VF-19 Kai, as well. Maybe because it's not as popular and therefore not expected to sell as many units as the Basara? Both together are double whammy.

The D head is so much better than the S missing that mongo forehead.

Hell yeah, my number 1 request after the VF-17. An ENEMY to fight. Love watching Basara outmaneuvering them and Gamlin blowing them away....

IIRC YF-19 and YF-21 were 18,800'ish or something like that? Mostly it's the exchange rates. As of 10/19, the rate was 76.818497JPY:USD. That makes 22,000¥ = $286.39. On 4/3/2010, it was 94.9409 JYP:USD. That would make a 22,000¥ = $231.72.

The shoulders are TOO chunky and not long enough. The head is also a bit too blockish compared to the anime instead of tapered.

I think it's the huge head like someone else posted. "Forehead like a movie theater." I like fighter mode but as far as battroid I'd like to see the head scaled down a bit, canon or not. It could also use a neck/collar to raise it up a tiny bit. I think the nose is too "bulbous" and probably is the new gullet and that simply noone looked at the exact angle comparison like anime52k8 posted. Probably too late to change by this point, I imagine. The rest of fighter, I'm more than happy with and expect it to be a bit tighter in production. As far as VF-22, seems obvious to me that Yamato got a bit lazy. VF-22's belly profile should roughly match that of YF-21 with the FP plates on (a bit thinner since we wouldn't need "double layers") and be a bit thicker/chunkier in fighter than YF-21 without the plates but thinner than YF-21 with the plates.
