2 new Variable Fighter Master File books: VF-22 and VF-1 Squadrons

Have been going over my copy recently. Can anyone translate what these were about? Def disappointed there was not more Gerwalk or Battroid. I do love the load out pages and FAST/beam boosters, etc. If Arcadia or Bandai ever does VF-22, hope they do a 'full set' -
Need the Macross 30 engine with a game that follows SDF series. Infantry coat in South Ataria island, inside the Macross, Going through Zentraedi ships in Battroid and stealing uniforms from some poor guy trying to use the toilet, etc.

Yeah looking at the Gamlin VF-22S the gunplates bupges should be able to hinge outward and store the gunpods. Bonus if there's magazine detail for the mircomissiles (even if just 3 or 4 pairs from the VF-19) on the underside. Also, in the center half opening on each plate outwards for a small missile bay for the reaction missiles seen in the last episode of Mac 7 that Max and Milia dropped on Geperenitch. The legs should get a revision on that Gerwalk joint and more firmly peg in the outer belly plates to the hand/countermeasure covers. The rotating landing gear are fine, but need a detent to the back deployed position so rolling backwards doesn't collapse them. Mane them telescope if the belly plates need more clearance A heat shield could be stowed in either the hood behind the head or the nose cone or split it half each like the VF-11 did. Similarly he 19s (starting with 19A Ravens) could have room for the neck cover to integrate in the chest plate.

I'm with you on TV version or even the hybrid DYRL design with carriers though would hope for TV colors, too.

Seems like they need do another run of VF-1 in general. Roy, Hikaru 1J, Max & Kakizaki 1A and CF for both DYRL and TV. Ideally a CF 1J again and then a loose FAST Pack release might make sense. Unpainted and/or Assembly would be nice for customs, too.

Arcadia should do a VF-19A Ravens repaint. Fix the ankles already (ratcheted) and maybe a couple detents for the wings for regular fighter mode, if not battroid and high speed.

I have the original release Brera VF-27. A bit floppy, especially shoulders.

I'd like to hear Max mention how favorite Valkyrie and what he liked best about each model. I have been considering the Max 29 as I don't have any 29 or 31 models.

After playing with old Yamato Gullet model, I probably wouldn't upgrade tbh but did get and am enjoying the Arcadia Basara reissue. I'd rather get a 19S or 19P if they revisit those.

First impression is that the added detail DOES look better. It's more a detail of the animation than anything. None of that extra tampo printing that likes nice is on there, either and in both cases Yamato comes out looking more plain, but anime accurate. Except for the legs. If Arcadia can do thicker legs that are less frustrating to stow for fighter, they'd have a winner in a premium paint version. As it is, they could get away with a leg swapping partsforner for the look and still do better than Bandai DX.

Would like both YF-19 and YF-21 should have detent ball joints and a small barrel hole of emitter or something.

Was about to say the additional hex panel lining on the Bandai looked better but treatment's screenshot shows the Yamato is more accurate.

When was the last TV Fast pack release? I have the TV Focker that Yamato released so far so good. All prices for GBP, etc appear inflated but no separate FAST Super set since Arcadia? I have the v1 1/60 GBP but may need to consider the Roy or Hikaru Strikes to get a Super/Strike at not insane price.

I found the VF-1A my wife got me in 2002. I didn't appreciate it enough then. Love the shade of brown more than the Yamato. Find myself looking at the Super Roy/Hikaru on ebay but oof.

That sums up every show since Mando season 1 and Andor. Mostly awful writing with a few really good moments that usually wind up on YouTube. This was acute with Kenobi and Ahsoka. -

I picked this one up on sale at HLJ. My first since the Gullet YF-19, which is a floppy mess in anything but fighter so enjoy all the nice refinements I missed (and kicking myself for not getting the VF-19P). Nice and tight and just completed the first transformation . Going to Gerwalk and Battroid was easy enough (forgot to do the hip button thing at first. The leg missiles are very tight and couldn't get the middle one to turn on either leg and didn't want to force it. Getting back to fighter was kinda hard... first the battroid hatch was open. Went back to battroid for awhile. Had problems lining things up and one of the arms didn't seem right. Then getting the legs tabbed in again had issues with the chest locking down until I pressed and it clicked into place. not sure if that's normal but don't want to force it routinely. Nice and tight and locked in now. This is definitely a display in battroid valk for me. Haven't messed with the Sound Booster at all. I'll def get the Blazer and Zola if they're re-released, though also hoping for whale blood red P and Ravens VF-19A.

I love the tampo printing and leg proportions better than Yamato, but not sure I'm liking what they did with the backpack depth. The overhead shelf hiding the huge gap looks ok, but the side profile isn't nearly as attractive. I haven't gotten in on an order yet anyway, so might be moot.

Oh yeah another improvement needed is the arms to peg into the intake for gerwalk and battroid.

Transformed Gamlin VF-22 a few times and had fun showing my son "deliimiter" mode. Still holding up great and my favorite single valk I own. Put on the last episode of Dynamite 7 so he could see it briefly in action. I would like slightly thicker legs (even if they were partsformer swaps for battroid, but thinking hollow and slightly bowing out the belly plays should give enough clearance), heat shield cover and there should be a small ball joint on the head laser (perhaps a ratcheted center position).

If Arcadia would do the VF-11C, I'd buy at least two or three.

I thought about this awhile back and seems like the idea would seem most applicable to a smaller single engine valkyrie somewhere between an F-16 and F-35 style design. Economics never seems to be really be a large factor in valkyrie evolution or procurements , except perhaps with reference to YF-21/VF-22. Perhaps a smaller or less aggressive power output for improved active stealth.
