You think the rock star mecha (if not the guitar control stick) was bad... look in at the Kawamori Macross Designworks and look that he had apparently originally wanted the valkyrie itself to hold a guitar! Macronized turkey? Was it ever said WHAT the Zentraedi originally ate? Some sort of Matrix-esque nutrion paste? Or relatively normal food?

I expected this to be 1/48 scale (Roy vs Hikaru). 1/60's dont compare with features and they don't compare in (high) price, either. Apples and oranges. Think of it this way... u can likely get 2 - 1/60 Super/Strike Valkyries for teh price of the 1/48 and almost another with the price of the 1/48 FAST Packs.

I'd wear one on a motorcycle if it was in the $400-500 range. Probably not the shoulder pads/armor though.

Hmm... well the Yamato 1/60 Hikaru Super VF-1J had the paired RMS-1's inboard. I always thought this made more sense to have more mass towards the center of the plane as possible. How do real planes do it? And that outboard weapons would fire first leaving the mass towards the center as individual missiles fire... David?

I build models, I paint them... and honestly, customizing toys is not something I do and I feel sorry for those who do it, willingly. Because toys are a pain to paint. You could be. But were you? Damn it! I want to see discussion on this toy, not A1 and Abombz own version of dramaqueen'ing. Is there ANY point to your posts that isn't better left to PM? I think this thing is overpriced, even considering size... but this could be mitigated by an articulated (think the newer Star Wars lines if not GI Joe 3 3/4) pilot. I most likely WILL be waiting to see if there are sales later... Think how much the 1/60s were going for when they first came out, though... I do think the Q-rau should sell pretty well, though obviously in smaller volume... Green TV variant seems likely. It's easily comparable to the TV Max/Milia 1J. It can capitalize from the same mold with only paint changes and noone is gonna complain. It had BETTER stand on its own, though... course I seem to have gotten a cherry YF-21FP, so I'm not particularly worried about it. Check the Kawamori Macross Designworks... The Regult doesn't appear to differ between standard and missile versions. EDIT: On the main body. Of course the two top cannons are replaced by the missile pods, if it needs to be clarified... [/edit] This is easily the VF-1 variant syndrome going here. Throw in repaints and it's a cincher. Price will probably be high but that pilot could do wonders to make certain people more willing to buy. That said, Myersjesse got it right, the Glaug is probably more popular and it would be nice if Yamato could make a deal to sell it as a Battletech thing... but then we come to Harmony Gold and FASA again.

In the book, Mordor's armies lost alot of motivation when the Ringwraiths suddenly streaked off towards Mordor (chasing vainly after the finally discovered Frodo and the Ring - but they neglected to inform their troops). The book says many were bound by spell or threat of malice... "The Power that drove them on and filled them with hate and fury was wavering, its will was removed from them.' Then the Black Gate collapses and a great cloud is seen rising over Mordor (from the ruin of Barad-Dur and/or the explosion of Mount Doom)... what would u do? Stay and fight? Or cover your butt?

Corny song and parody... but those super articulated clone trooopers are great. I have 2 of em (the rest the army builder 3-packs or 2-value pack or the red Saga clone captain)... Love all the ball joints they have... just wish they had come with the rifle instead of that pea shooter.

Definately Yamato 1/48 but hope you have deep pockets and lots of shelf space. Followed by Yamato 1/60 which are the best bang for the buck IMO. Next I would rate the Toynami's. I hadn't actually ever had a chance to get my hands on one but I was messing around with my Cousins Roy and it's not that bad at all. It's sculpt is off, but then so is the Bandai/Takatoku... just the Toynami is badly overpriced (especially considering the armor) and doesn't have the nostalgia going for it. But that said, it's not a bad toy. Nice and posable in ways the Bandais' aren't with opening canopies and little features. The hands are easily way better than the Yamato 1/48... the light in the visor... We won't go there. Then I'd put the Bandai reissues for chunky nostalgia.

Damn now I'm starting to want a VF-1J. I like my 1/60. I like my 1/60...

Have you even watched M7? They weren't "defeated" as the word would imply at all. Geperenich "saw the light" as it were and they left. The M7 fleet was defeated if anyone was... As far as any ol Britney Spears wanna-be being able to stop the war... you're quite right... but just as wrong in your ultimate point.
