    Gods, I spent so many quarters on Daytona USA back in the day.

    That has more to do with the source material then the studio. From what I've been hearing the adaptions are pretty spot on from what is in the mangwas. Plus nothing wrong with a fireworks display.

    Of course they miss the micro-thruster belts they wear. You can even see the thruster flares in episode one and in Freya's debut concert. Walkure is a good example of the axiom "Any technology significantly advance is indistinguishable from magic." For Delta it was the focus on the idol group with some mecha combat around that caused the concern. They just need to find a better balance (like Frontier), but that comes with practice and let's be blunt. Macross has only had about half a dozen series it's catalog. This compared to something like Gundam or Fate/Stay which have dozens of series under their belts in about the same amount of time. So it's harder to hide a bad season for Macross since it doesn't have much to hide behind. As apposed to some other franchises which have had more bad seasons than Macross has had seasons as a whole.

    While someone else will give you a more detailed answer. The basic canonization of the Macross material is to remember that each show/movie/game/book is a show/movie/game/book in universe, based on the actual events in the Macross universe. So for example SDFM is a TV show in Macross, DYRL is a movie in macross. Both are based on the same events, Space War One.

    So there are basically going back to basics with a prequel to TOS, written like TOS. Image the money they would have saved/made if they STARTED WITH THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

    It felt like the opening to a game of Mansions of Madness, but set in the 60's. There isn't much Lovecraft in the first episode outside the bookends. Nothing was more attention grabbing then seeing Jackie Robinson take on a starchild with a baseball bat. Our group of heroes has some brains to them and it's looking to get weirder in the coming weeks. If they can keep up on the creature effects this might turn out somewhat interesting.

    It was the endgame of the series. Roid used Mikumo in star-singer form to create a gestalt conscience of all sentient being in the galaxy with him at the helm.

    Got one (technically two due to housemate). The new rules will take some getting used to, but those that played the prior edition will have little issues. Price point of the big box is really good, but if your only interested in a force I'd either wait til the battle boxes or if your itching to get into the game then grab one of the new starter sets releasing this month.

    Figure I drop this here as I'm a little proud of what I did. In three months I painted this: That is a bakers' dozen of mini-knights and two medium sized ones. Technically I did two more not pictured. Most of these are for my custom knight house and I wanted six squads of the buggers and it is done. Now I just need one of every type of knight and the house overall will be done.

    Nope, fan sub only right now. Same for the Frontier and Zero series. So question for the translators and those that have read them. How is music integrated into the novelizations of the series, in a more specific case the Delta novelization?

    Was meh, basically an hour long episode of the series. The first 1/3 is a recap episode of the last season.

    That would be awesome to see, have them fight the Supervision Army. A zentradi deathmetal band rocking out to inspire the troops. Be a nice OVA at least. I mean we have the VFGs, just make it like that horse idol anime but with mecha.

    Mechanicus is pretty good, FFT with admech and Necrons. Just be careful of the destroyers, those things hit hard. From what I was told, told this is effectively PSO2: Realm Reborn. There following FFXIV's game plan.

    Honestly I don't think that Bilrer/Minmay thread was a hope for bringing the characters back. But more of a show that those so focused on something can do both great and terrible things. It gave Bilrer a goal that was impossible, but he accomplished so much trying you have to ask: What's more important, the journey or the destination?

    No, they are pulling anything that has NSFW material. Infinitis Stratos also got pulled as did Glinpr, How not to summon a demon lord and others of the same nature. Basically if it had ecchi it's dropping.

    I just hope they one day get full custody of Macross, just because that will make distribution a bit easier.

    Honestly if they were to redo the original SDFM we're looking at something like Yamato 2199 or LoGH: DNT which would require a lot work, but would be worth it.
