    Guess I wasn't specific enough, sorry. What I'm wondering is what the prize is. If it's tickets to an event, which it seems to be, then I can just send my codes to someone that has a better chance of getting to the event then me.

    So I got an email talking about a promo code for ordering the blu-ray. Anyone know exactly what it's for and if they are transferable?

    Feels like the old "Once bitten, twice afraid" since Discovery was such a departure from the prior treks and the previews of Picard looking like more of the same and it's raising flags. Picard has a few things I'm interested in so if given the chance I'll watch it. Will it keep my attention is something different and honestly not hard. However Discovery did manage that in its pilot, sooo. Honestly 99% of this is based on speculation, trailers and other publicity. Best to wait for the series to actually drop (01/23/20) before making a final opinion.

    So finished Fire Force over the weekend. The fights against the White Clad were up and down. Worse being the Tamaki/Arsenal fight, the rest had nice mechanics and the Shrina/Sho fight was a classic shoenen end battle. At least there was some closure on the fire that started Shrina's journey. There are also quite a few hooks for another season which would be nice if there is one later down the road. Other then the group's selection and the two on my personal list. I do need to find a nice talky dubbed anime to play while I work on my many^uptenth modeling projects.

    Akira is a treat. She gets better as the series goes on. Minor Spoiler, but Minoru does give her what for eventually.

    So the weekly group has made it's selections for the season: My Hero Academia (continuing) - the raid arc is just about done, if not over. The fights were really good, especially against Overload. OP meets OP in a fight OPM would be proud of. Isekai Quartet 2 - So Shield Hero has been added to the collection. The groups introduction was meh. From the looks their actually side characters for this since Noifumi and I'm guessing Ralphtalia are in Class one. The main cast is Class two, though Puck and Chomsuke were added for reasons... Also if Good Smile isn't already involved in this series they should. It's a literal commercial for their Nenodroid series as now that I have a few, the characters look exactly like their dolls. Magica Modoka Side Story - Only two episodes in, but seems like this takes place pre-Modoka god mode. Seems to be shaping up to be a nice addition to the series as it has all the look and feel of the original series. No Gun Life - This one was suggested to me all last season. Glad to start it finally. It is a cyberpunk noir series with a FMA:Brotherhood mixed in. BOFURI - Seems this is going to be a light-hearted SAO, which is good. Will report back one Maple gets her party together as that will be the make or break point. Personally I'm going to be following Nekopara and Interspieces Reviewers. Nekopara - This is looking like a chapter of the VN (non-eroge version). Cute cat-girls doing cute maid/cat things. Simple enough. Interspieces Reviewers - Oh boy.. so the general premise is we are following two adventurers and their angel companion as they rate the love making skills of fantasy creatures. That's the pitch and while this should be a hentai, it's not. Like Monster Musume, my head was turned by the artwork, but I'm staying for the mechanics. Seriously the review segments are the best part as they are varied and make sense from a pure logical view. I'll have more later, what to make sure some of this is going to be part of the series and not just a one night stand.

    So after this I'm adding this series to my watchlist. I need a neat short comedy.

    Little of column A, little of column B? Best guess is like another series, Symphonagear, that that phrase has some context, but is just to sound cool. The gear activation phrases for example use words from a few ancient languages, but are mostly just to sound melodic.

    So over the holiday I watched Magical Sempai and started Fire Force. Magical Sempai was as advertised, a cute slice of life with plenty of fan service. Was neat that they explained a few of the tricks between Assistant-kun and the chemistry club. Not a bad way to waste an afternoon. I'm only half way through Fire Force, giving me lots of Soul Eater vibes, which is good because I enjoyed that series and the fights here are really pretty. Only real complaint is Tamaki, her lecher lure seems like they were trying really hard to make her the focus of the fan service to the point of annoyance.

    It will be online the day of release because that is how the internet works. Granted I ordered more then one disc since I have a few friends that were interested in this.

    So does anyone else see New Caprica when they show the exterior shots of the drift colony? Or that just me?

    Actually only JUNNA and Minori came over and did three songs as part of a large Idol concert. IIRC they weren't even introduced as Wulkure and they didn't use any Macross imagery either while the other idol groups were there in full. If Flying Dog wants to promote Walkure here in the states they need to licence to Spotify, iTunes, or other music streaming services. You can get their albums real easy now if you know they exist.

    Earth Cultists. At least so far. I'm going to do a double feature at the end of the week to finish this season since I know what is coming and like to see it in one shot.

    Going to hold off on Azur Lane and binge it later. Having a hard time keeping up with my personal series due to other projects and the holiday visits from the parents. Still sad it seems that LoGH is not going to call the earth cultist terraist, but considering their actions later in the series it might be a little too on the nose. Going to hold off watching this week's episode until next week and finish the season in one shot.

    They did. Personally I don't have an issue with it, but I saw all of the reboot in english so it set the standard.

    I was debating on that one too, but funds at the time kept me from it. I believe either Crunchyroll or VRV Select has it for streaming though. It's a really good HD print. Watched it a while ago. Only issue is how short the series is, would love to see more of Rally and Mae's adventures.

    Add in some of the spin-off books and it could keep the season from getting too dull. But they haven't even announced a season 3 yet, so at least they went out with a bang if this movie is all we get.

    Honestly I'm ok with that. I watch Konosuba for the laughs, having a character growth is ok at a slog if the series is to go on for a while. Checked out Kandagawa Jetski Girls over the weekend. Got thru three eps before the censorship glare got to me. At least they went over the rules of the sport. Neat concept for a video game, using high power water guns to slow the jetski as well as ablative swimwear. I'll wait until the uncensored version drops in a few months to continue. Also started a rewatch of Gurren Lagann, good series for when your sick and just want to netflix and chill.
