  1. This Valk sat in fighter mode in the heat. Note the areas covered up from sunlight are still white.
  2. I left my Valks in Texas, too. They were upstairs, in a house that often was not air conditioned on the second floor to save energy. The only parts on my Valk that turned yellow were the ones exposed to the sunlight, which was indirect and through white curtains. Thus, I do not believe heat to be a cause. When I customized these toys I peeled the decals off. Beneath the decals the toys were bone white. Also the sections of the arms, wings, and legs that were in the "shadow" of the light source were white. Experiment: Take a Valk you plan to custom and swing the wings back. Stick the sucker in direct sunlight for 30 days. Swing the wings out. The parts not exposed will be white, the rest yellow. I believe it is light-related, not heat-related. As for an attic, there's no way that UV will penetrate all the layers of material on a roof (shingles, plywood, insulation, etc.) to any degree that would hurt a plastic Valkyrie. Keep them out of the light.

Where is ANAS's website? I need to get those suckers.
  4. I don't really care too much, I just want to know how to do it. I think I can edit swing bars and things out of it. The main thing is, how do you make a toy/model look like a painting?
  5. 1 x Low Viz Sticker Sheet 1 x Low Viz Canopy 1 x Hikaru Decal Sheet VF-1A DYRL
  6. I wish he would do it. I would love to try and make a custom that has *EVERYTHING*. Does he have a website? My latest is still ongoing. I am shaving the hip bars so they are very thin. I may end up replacing them altogether with flat titanium or steel plates/strips. I don't know how strong this pot metal will hold up once it is thinned out. Stay tuned.

Where do those Marine decals come from? I need some. Semper Fi!
  8. Was not the picture of the Ostrich that I put up a 1/55 that Cheng did? Here's the picture again. This is what I want to do with some of my 55s.
  9. You got it man. On the way shortly...
  10. I would just like them to UV protect the plastics like cars....
  11. I'm curious to know what all the mods for the 1/55 are. I'll list mine (and a few that I have seen others do). I hope the rest of you will join in. 1) Poseable Thigh (SPO) 2) Paired Gunpods (SPO) 3) Tapered Foot Thrusters (SPO Version) 4) Notchless/Free Floating/Friction Tailfin (SPO) 5) Collapsing Gunpod (SPO Version / KK Version) Others: 6) Clear Canopies (Beers) 7) Custom Cockpits (Beers) 1/55 Pilots (Jung) 9) Custom Head Turrets (Beers) 10) Swivel Hips (Fulcy) 11) Custom Nose Cone with Pilot and Canopy (Takatoys) 12) Decals (Jung, Anastazi, etc.) 13) Foot Pose Mod (KK) 14) Ultra Flex Thigh (KK) Any others?
  12. Anyone out there willing to help me yet? I have access to Photo Shop but I don't have the first clue how to run it.
  13. I want to get a few sets of decals for my 1/55s, but I'd like to know if the person making them (Anastazi?) can include some customized items that I submit via .tif or .bmp. Any help is appreciated. I'm most desperate for the roundels, VF, UN SPACY/NAVY/MARINES, and "black dot" markings. Thanks in advance.
  14. No worries, bro! I was laughing as I typed my reply.
  15. I honestly would buy more Yammies if I could be assured they would not turn yellow with time. Can't anyone invent a non-yellowing plastic?
  16. In flight....
  17. Okay I lied...
  18. Last one for now...
  19. Just a couple more...
  20. Please ignore the panel lining....this is still a work in progress.... The finished result will rock I am hopeful....
  21. Just another test fit. Thought I would snap a picture of it before I take it apart and correct all the mistakes. Things to be added: poseable thigh, custom "J" head, and clear canopy with enhanced cockpit details. Landing gear need to be painted, still and I need to redo the nose for the third time. I had the perfect alignment for the green and blue but my clear coat ate the paint off. Second time around it came out nice but I don't like the position of the waterline (it's too low) so I will have to redo it once more. Any way...gives you an idea of what is coming....

  23. Because the name of the primary character's squadron in "Attention on Deck!" (my novel) is "The Streak Eagles." The Streak Eagle wasn't used for testing IIRC, but record breaking. (I love it when people talk to me like I have no clue about aviation. Hahaha! ) http://jaddams.csw.uic.edu/aod/images/Fram...FramtonHO1.html
