  1. Hey, anyone have any major QC issues on the blue MPC Alpha? Where's the cheapest place to find them?
  2. I want a few sets of TV hands for the 1/48. Is anyone still making them? Also, where's Anastazi? I owe him money.

    2 seater 1/48s

Nothing makes the "D" impossible. From what I recall of it, the cockpit was lengthened aft of its position on the single-seat models. Place a cockpit in the location where at present the fuselage (and probably reaction mass) exists in the single-seaters and voila! It's a non issue. The "D" in the animation has the same dimensions as the single-seaters do--the cockpit was stretched/stuffed in aft not forward. The airbrake was eliminated, too, IIRC, so the shield isn't dying for space that I am aware of.
  4. Nice job. Only complaint: The decals under the wings are too far outboard. Would look better about an inch and a half inboard... Very nice. The arrow on the Nose wouldn't be too hard for you to do I bet. Great job.
  5. Man this thread came back from the dead...
  6. Where are you getting them? I am still looking for 3.
  7. Because it sucks!
  8. I'll consider buying a green one, but not one of those ugly things.... Pass.
  9. AH HA! Where are all you hypocritical whiners complaining about the head laser color? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm????????? Remember the chorus of whines when the MPC came out with red and blue lasers for the M&M toys? *HA*!
  10. Front only is sufficient. Do the fins on the legs come off, too? I would love them if they do.
  11. They are off in Episode 4 in space... I would think they function like the MIG-29's do--closed with weight on wheels and in Battroid Mode (or any time ingesting FOD would be a danger--like combat in space).
  12. Any chance I can get the vertical tail fins and chest plate?
  13. Thanks, H. I realize that blue isn't canon but I kinda' like the look of it. Oh well.
  14. Great! So now when my Max yellows he will yellow unevenly and make it even more glaringly apparent to the whole friggin' world!!!!!!!!!!
  15. Kewl. I thought the canopy frame was going to be blue but on the HLJ site it is black. On TM's it is blue... Which is it?
  16. I hated the first one I bought but my Low Viz and Max "A" were fine so I am not mad any more... I still can't believe the sh*tty quality control but what can I do? Any way, I don't care what it is, if it's a Max Blue "J" then I am buying it! I still need a 1/60 but don't have the cash for it. Anything with Max is worth buying...
  17. Oh crap I missed Max's debut! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Where can I get one for sure? With my luck HLJ won't be able to fill my order! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Custom Hikaru VF-1S

Dude, what's up with that gay light-up head visor? It looks like an MPC. BLECK. JUST KIDDING MAN! Nice job! Absolutely gorgeous.
  19. It's a Revell/Monogram Sundowner's F-14A 1/48 Kit that those decals come from, IIRC.
  20. Personally I think multiple tail hooks are rather silly. Gawd help you if you snare one and not the other...
  21. Thanks, man. I love that custom gallery. That is just the thing MWorld has needed for awhile! Good call!
  22. Thanks, GA (and Graham). I just wish I had been in posession of my current camera back then. I would have enjoyed getting photos of them with high resolution! I wonder if the current owners are still out there and willing to snap some updated photos for us...
  23. Graham, I don't know if these are good enough to put up or not but...just in case: http://jaddams.csw.uic.edu/aod/images/Valk...alk/Marine.html http://jaddams.csw.uic.edu/aod/images/Valk...Tiger-Meet.html
  24. Thanks for the plug. I need to get off my rear and finish that Hard Case Valk! I will try! Nice job, Graham!

    Painting VFs

As close to the image as possible is best. Also use a decal setting solution. I am having a mental block for the one I use. Solve-a-set or something like that. It basically "melts" the decal into all the cracks and crevices making it appear painted on.
