  1. Now for what it is worth..... I did my thigh mod at an angle to the BLACK RUBBER COVERING on the thigh and it looks even better than the previous attempt. When the thigh is straight you can't tell it has been cut. With the blue Valk the 90 degree cut was too obvious (which is why I used it on the dark blue Valk as the paint hides it). (NOTE: THE CUT ON THE LEG HAS TO BE FROM FRONT TO REAR, BOTTOM TO TOP. THE ANGLE SHOULD BE LOWER IN FRONT THAN ON TOP. REVERSE THE CUT LINE AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE BELOW. ALSO POSITION THE BIC PEN PARTS PARALLEL THE CUT).
  2. I'd like to know which ones will fit inside the thigh and which ones will fit inside the intake. If they have a high friction level I would be very interested in them.
  3. These all appear to be plastic. My question is...do they have the friction to hold the leg of a Valkyrie in the up position in Fighter mode?
  4. 363222[/snapback] they can tell if you've had it...
  5. I am having trouble getting the flash to show the actual color so I will have to take some pictures in daylight. Also, this camera seems to bring out flaws that are invisible to the naked eye. Not sure I like the effect of this flash on it. It is GORGEOUS in person. Even my wife likes it. The original:
  6. Decals and dullcote to follow....... But this gives you and idea of our progress....
  7. Not the best photos...but decals coming along slowly....
  8. G, My Green/Blue "Hard Case" 1/55 Valk is still under construction and has been renamed. At this point I think it needs to be pulled off. I hope to have it completed in a month and will have pics then.
  9. WOW. You drew that?????? HOLY SH*T.
  10. Thanks. COMING SOON.
  11. Anyone have pictures?
  12. The low vis boring??? I guess you guys think F/A-18Es are boring, too. Feh. The low vis is the coolest scheme out there next to the Max "J".
  13. At first I thought maybe he was snapping his fingers or breaking a chicken bone in half... But he didn't write *SNAP* so that didn't work. Then I thought it might be an acronymn like SNAFU but nothing seemed to work with SNAP... So then I thought maybe he is a martial artist and likes to break boards... Or perhaps he is a tree trimmer and that was the sound of twigs being slaughtered... Or maybe he likes sex and had a defective condom that broke... And then I thought well...maybe he is into rubberband gun fights and the snap was a popping rubber band. Then I thought maybe it wasn't that but perhaps...
  14. Roger. You may be the only one looking forward...
  15. The missile pods are a bad idea, but RADAR ABSORBING MATERIAL can greatly reduce the radar signature. Funny how I drew up this scheme back in 1995...and have had it on my website ever since... Just like the low-vis... Great minds think alike I guess.
  16. I don't even know wtf "SNAP" is supposed to mean!!!!!!! I see it on YAHOO Messenger a lot. Ugh.
  17. Yeah as soon as I can get someone to help me make some decals. I'm working on it. I only just finished the paint job Wednesday night...
  18. I do but I am out of town so I can't post it for a few days.
  19. It may lower the price on the used market but Yamato is still a monopoly. Unless they overproduce expect prices for new 48s to remain hihg high high.
  20. We are in the same boat I fear. I do have some arm parts but not many. What are you searching for? Send me those brownie photos so I can see if I can use them and we can trade.
  21. It transforms. He has pics of it on his site I think...
  22. The more white plastic in a Yammie the less likely I am to buy it. I don't want a yellowed hunk of overpriced plastic ten years down the road. That being said my collection of 1/48s: 1 - Hikaru S (DYRL Edition 1) 1 - Roy S (DYRL) 1 - Max A (DYRL) 1 - Low Viz 2 - Max J (TV) 2 - Milia J (TV) 1 - CF A I hate DYRLs but got them cheap.
  23. Hey WICKED ACE!!!! Take a look at my customs gallery. A 1/55 version of the Midnight Blue Valk is there (in progress). Hope you like...
  24. Stealth Valk... Old news. Done long ago (1995) in my novel--just like the low-viz--via RAM (Radar-Absorbing Material). Glad to see Yamato likes my ideas. . LOL! Now if they will just release the dark blue Valk seen in a brief animation shot I will be happy.
  25. Gang, Just tried this out on my Blue Valk....works GREAT. Instead of filing down ALL THREE gear teeth on each foot thruster half... Only remove the *MIDDLE* one. This prevents the foot from flopping and allows you to move the forward thruster to a "half open" position while the rear is fully open. This really helps GERWALK A stance poses. If you want it to go all the way super forward like the previous mod you can do that... But for what I need removing the center teeth works best. Give it a shot.
