  1. You should do a sister topic: "WORST OF EACH MODE BY COMPANY" and see what happens. Yikes.......
  2. AWESOME!! I am glad you know what I am talking about. It sure brings back memories...
  3. Are the TV versions of these out yet? I want a Max "J".
  4. I agree. Visually these are far closer to the mark than any other 1/100 Valk I have seen. Does the nose gear have two tires? It looks like it only has one on the left.
  5. Dudes, like SAND down the ball of the ball/socket joint. DUHR.
  6. That must have been it then. It was a bootleg for sure but came in a box. It was packaged in fighter mode. What do those things cost these days?
  7. I'm not sure... It was grey, not white and I don't remember if it had the skull on the canopy... Are the feet metal?
  8. I'm not sure... It was grey, not white and I font remember if it had the skull on the canopy... Are the feet metal?
  9. With all the talk about the 1/100 Toynami...... I am reminded of a Valkyrie I bought when I was a kid at the local drug store. - It was roughly 1/100 or 1/72 scale (I think the latter). - It was all gray and as I recall did not have a clear canopy but rather a black painted one with gray canopy lines. - It had Roy's markings on it. - The feet were metal I believe... - It may or may not have had an "S" head on it. It coulda' been a "J". - It was fully transformable. I screwed mine up when I tried to repaint the wing stripes after they had worn off some. Man do I regret not still having it. It kinda' reminded me of a miniature Bandai... What was it? Anyone know? It was a REALLY cool toy.
  10. Nice. However, I think someone forgot to tell our friends at YAMATO that black radomes went out of fashion in the 80s with new technology paint. This thing looks like a Valkyrie in F-4 "Phantom" clothing... If I were to customize one of those I would continue the camo pattern all the way down the nose...
  11. The ugly heads on the 1/60 are far worse than the skinny arms of the 1/48 though.... The 1/60 Fighter mode is awful. I can't get past that blunt nose among other things.
  12. Man after looking at those pics I am doubly convinced the 1/48 is by far the best. HOLY SH*T.
  13. Stock or via mods? For me the coolest Gerwalk is a thigh-modified Bandai 1/55. The 1/48 is puny... Not manly enough. But if we're talking straight up no mods... Whew..... 1/48 1/48 1/48 No brainer.
  14. Am I the only person who is reminded of the 1/72 "ROBOTECH DEFENDERS" model kits Revell had out in the 80s and 90s when I gaze upon this thing?????? http://www.draddog.com/robotech/ I loved the VEXAR paint scheme as a kid: http://brianscache.com/unseen/vexar.jpg
  15. My color scheme would be Max's but the guy in my novel is the dude in my avatar... So I m going with that!!!!!
  16. I still love that thing. I have some Rolo Super O parts if anyone wants them. Cheap.
  17. That sucker is gonna' ROCK!!!!!!
  18. General, sir, apology accepted. Please accept my apology for my over the top, vitriolic response. This was a complete and total communication breakdown and thusly no harm intended on either end. Put me in for an order! Stupid question: does the painted helmet price include custom colors? I want one painted to match the guy in my avatar.
  19. Post it wherever you like. You *MIGHT* get more exposure in a new thread.... But I am not getting my toes stepped on if you post here.
  20. May have. If you didn't do it first you can take solace in knowing you arrived at the conclusion independently. Here's my original post on the subject of BIC Pens: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...indpost&p=33478 The thought train rolled off at some point shortly after this. I was thinking for awhile on whether or not to post it. But I am known for using paperclips so why not BIC pens? LOL http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...ndpost&p=362500 At any rate I cannot wait to see your results. I think that is going to ROCK big time.
  21. Skull-1

    2 seater 1/48s

    It isn't impossible.
  22. I am working on a VF-1D as we speak but it won't be VF-102...
  23. The issue is that I would like to be able to buy one of each but because Yamato is releasing them so fast I have to skip about three or four different models before I can buy one. P*sses me off... That and the fact that QC is sorely lacking for the price.
  24. You should post pics of that!
  25. Exactly. What's the point of the investment, especially if you accidentally break the fragile thing? Oh can you imagine the horror of snapping a back plate hinge or something devastating like that? EEEEEK!
