  1. Looking at HLJ's site I don't see a scale for the Revoltech VF-1s. Are they 1/100 or something? Thanks in advance.
  2. Needs red stripes on the wings still...
  3. Looking good!
  4. The only compatibility issues I am aware of are when going from "Generation to Generation." A Bandai Jetfire or original issue Macross Valkyrie will be different from a Re-Issue Bandai in many areas. Most notably: Canopy, Forearm Shape, and Swing Bar. There are other differences as well, all minor. I have managed to swap them between each other with modification...
  5. Her thumb should be parallel to the other fingers not bent. Otherwise GORGEOUS.
  6. I like it in a "cartoon" sense. It makes the Valk look like a living animation cell. That being said, if reality is what you are shooting for never use black. You would have been better served to use a pencil and smear all excess aft to make streaks. Nice work though, regardless. U could use an alcohol wipe and remove all of that stuff to start over again if you wanted I bet.
  7. Ditto. I want her in the proper military bearing, not like some lame actor PRETENDING to be...
  8. I WANT ONE!
  9. I'm not an expert or I'd do a step by step. I'm still trying to find the elusive non-yellowing flat clear coat... Ugh. This is as close to perfect as I've come and it still yellowed some on me. P*SSES ME OFF.
  10. Use the one on the left. The one on the right is DYRL and I hate DYRL!
  11. I sure need those arm springs and ratchets... I have some original clear canopies that were cast aftermarket... They have a slight yellow tint.
  12. SECONDED!!!! The worksmanship is fantastic. Silly idea, though, IMHO.
  13. I like it. Great job. How'd you scratch build the head?
  14. Forgot to mention Zanderw. Not sure how I omitted him!
  15. It is still under construction but I do have some pictures that may be helpful for now. http://www.Robotech-AOD.com/images/ValkToys/ValkMods.html
  16. Let me know. I am working on a Customizing for Dummies section on my web site... Just need to compile it really.
  17. 1) Sand the heck out of EVERYTHING. 2) Pick some easy mods. BigF mentioned most of them. - Tapered Feet - Tapered Swing Bars - Swivel Thighs - Pivoting and Stowable Wrists/Hands - BigF/Zander-Style Mod for Gerwalk-Correct Shoulder Position - Custom Decals from Devin (available through RoboGraphics) are a MUST HAVE as well - Collapsing Gun Pod That should get you well on the way. Once you do that you can start adding all sorts of other stuff... Nose Blister Reposition, Magnets for Wing Ordnance, Custom Heads, Custom Canopies, Custom Cockpits, Paired Weapons, etc..
  18. F, you are WAY too kind. However, I am honestly nowhere near the "Ultimate" despite my claims. LOL!! There was a guy on here not too long ago that was buidling one with lights, flaps, ailerons, open chest intakes, Yamato-style tail fins, etc.. Now THAT would have been the ultimate. I would like to think that I am good at coming up with stuff the "Average Joe" can do to make his 1/55 better. But at best I'm only a second tier customizer. KidKorrupt, Fulcy, WmCheng, etc. are the Experten. I don't have the skill or patience to even come close to those guys. But when it comes to "Mods for Dummies" then perhaps I occasionally stumble onto something. I simply enjoy BF and KN's contributions--am glad to be a member of the 1/55 Chunky Monkey Mafia!!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Love the coloring. I need one of those. LOL
  20. Where in the world did you find a TAN and ORANGE Boot???????????
  21. Would this be a good time for me to start dumping WHITE Jetfire toys on EBAY? Has "Transformers" boosted the market any?
  22. SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  23. MicroSet/MicroSol is harsher on custom decals than Solvaset in my experience... I use both on each decal most of the time.
  24. I can't tell if it gives any more poseability based on those shots though. Can the modified arm move inward further than a stock one?
  25. I have never had a problem with the stuff. It works like a charm... Never noticed any smell though either... Must be my least tuned sense...
