I am using 5.00 M33 which is the unlocked version by Dark Alex and a modded set of files I got on a torrent site to allow me to to use it despite it wanting to update. I added these to my ISO build of the disk. No need to update and I can still use my home brew and all my games fit on my 16gig memcard so more game time and no UMD's to loose while I'm out and about.

Yup thats the colour my Monsters decals have gone and its vintage 1985. Hopefully the new one when it gets here will have nice crisp new ones that wont yellow after 25 years

Now you gotta ask yourself, was it the brides idea to dress like Minmay or was it her husband ? You can imagine the cake shop ..... so you want that made into a cake 3 foot high......mmmmmmm...... have you seen our interest free credit payment plan option.

This build is now even more interesting now the real Arc Royal has been scrapped with immediate effect. Maybe when they get round to reusing the name it will look somewhat more like this one.
-
Awesome !! Its build threads like this that need their own pinned section on the site. The fact that you got the Captains approval says it all.

Its such a shame that more of them have not been stripped and sent to museums. I saw a documentary a few years back about the bone yard very interesting, also they showed how they get rid of the planes when not needed, very sad watching those old once loved icons being sawed and crunched up for scrap. My brother used to work for the defence industry they use some of the old RAF and RNavy kit for target practice for new weapons tests. He blew up several stripped out Helicopters and a couple of F4's. In some way I kinda think it would be better to go out like that than be crunched up in a scrap yard. Kinda live by the sword die by the sword.

.....and then when Giant Aliens turn up and kick the asses of all the Superbugs and Eurofighters etc they can turn into robots and kick ass Hell just merge that idea with the ID4 2 script and you could bag em both.
-
Well to pull this off they would have to have something special in the script area, people expect so much more nowadays. As far as ID4 2 as mentioned on page one of the thread, at least there was a book written and a half good story, and it would fit in to the prequel/remake mentality of HolyWood as it is a prequel to ID4.

While it may not be practicable or necessary it would be nice to see. More likely would be exo suit type aplications. Like in Aliens with the exo suit used to work like a power enhancement for a person. The obvious miiltary enhancements would be usefull, but most likely it only would be used in civlian aplications and search and rescue and probably hazardous environments. Not quite the same as a transformable fighter but probably as near as you will get.

Man you are a lesson in patience. The tape would have driven me nuts. Great job though

I'm amazed at the articulation of this. How does it compare to the SD VF1's size wise. Solscud dedicated to the cause.

Omg has the early bird finished for them. Wow I snuck under the radar with that one.

Official MacrossWorld Convention 2010 Information Thread
big F replied to KiriK's topic in Conventions and Local Gatherings
LOL sounds like one time when I was flying out of Tokyo, the xray guy passed my bag through 3 or 4 times, I could see the layers of my Hasegawa and wave kits on the screen intermingled with my clothes etc. I was thinking Oh here we go its gonna be sorry you cant take these kits. He then just looked at me and then shouted "Macross!! Deculture!!" and let me take my bag. I spoke to him when it got quiet and it turns out hes a big Macross fan and wanted to know what kits I had Have fun Guys sorry I cant be there. -
They'd be daft to miss out on such an easy marketing point. 2012 Flashback and posters and pictures with the VF4 on already, its previous association with 2012 and the fact that nobody else has ever bothered would surely make it a winner.

Excellent I have just had confirmation on my last order shipping so time to stump up some more cash to HLJ.
-
I give it one series, actually they'll film one series and it will be obvious it bombed by episode 6. The Idea barely worked in the 70's, it was cheesy then, positively Stilton now. They would seriously need to tweak the background story and dynamics, to make it fly. There is so much more 70's and 80's T.V tat that they could use, Manimal anyone ?!!
-
I have this kit 4 times it is my second favorite Valk next to the VF1. The S head is a little odd, you need to squint to see it right Dam fine job you did too.
-
Yeah they are some of the best. Those artworks got me hooked and into Macross/Robotech and drawing robots etc. Added to Transformers they are the most influential in my life when it comes to SciFi. The original art work was recently sold off, it was posted here, I think they went for a high price. I'd settle for a nice hi def scan
-
I'm just really happy they are going to use the original art work. IMO these and the DRYL picture of the SDF1 in space in the Gold book are Iconic of Macross.

Isn't it all about thrust power and yaw. All vegetables can fly if thrown hard enough.

I'm glued to this one

Well I picked my copy up at midnight, mainly because I was on my way home from work and passed the store, Halo is one of those games you either like or don't, if you do you'll buy everything Halo if you don't well.... I have never overly liked the online multiplayer thing in Halo. "Teh Leet" 12 year olds really get on my nads. The best thing was co-op multi play. My friends and me play through on Legendary, no lag as we all live nearby each other, its just a bullet fest The feeling you get playing it is similar to watching Star Wars episode III you know where its going and at the back of your mind your thinking its all over soon. The engine is the same old Halo engine the AI is a little improved and the visuals are nice, many times I got shot while staring at the Vistas not realizing the enemy was sneaking up on me. The jet pack is long over due, Death from above is so much fun It IMO will be one of those titles I bring out from time to time just for old time sake.

SilverDragon Nice to see your back. Your work looks great. Nice to see all the activity on this thread, makes up for my lack of anything on my workbench, unless you count the massive house renovation I have on the go.

I think I may try and get a Monster and maybe a Regult the monster just for old times sake and the Regult due to my missing getting Mr Moscato's rendition, everything else I am more than happy with my Moscato versions so unless John hasnt made it I wont bother. Part of what interests me is the Pain in the Ass build quality, makes it more of a challenge IMO. I am then only really bothered about the SDF 1/5000 as I have nothing of the SDF1.
