Can't comment on mine as they are still in the packaging he sent them in kept flat in one of my Macross books in storage. Gonna have to look at them now and see if they are ok.

LOL there are some here who'd prefer if you dip the whole thing in silicon and cast it Your work is great. Shame Hasegawa never tried this

So cute. It's what baby ones would look like if they hatched from eggs.

Well it still cool, weather It's the in my head version or via a Facebook chat thanks to Save version.

I can just see all sorts of metal stuff gradually edging it's way towards the 1/48, the end result a giant snowball of metal things and at its heart a nice Stampede Valk.

I'd still like a VF4 and VF17 and maybe a nice scale ARMD...... mmmmmm!! oh and more ENEMY MECHA

No sadly not. I got as far as loose fitting it to the donor 1/55 but as with most of my life it is all packed up still due to my move space issues. It is on my priority list though.

Ghost train and David I hear you guys, that Nokia ( I have one ) is dam near bomb proof, Mine has a pay as you go sim in it and is used when out on my MTB Bike, don't want any in coming calls and defenatley don't want to bust my nice new HTC. It's Nokia predecessor is nearly ten years old and is only now a little flaky on the reception and the battery charge level sucks. I'd still use it on my bike if could justify a battery for it that cost more than a new phone. The menu is text, calls and settings, no WAP no email no ring tones black and white, simples !! On the subject of west vs east in phone tech, I was in Tokyo when I first got my HTC TYTN the guys in Yodabashi Camera Shinjuku were all over me as apparently they didn't have one in Japan yet. The sales manager told me that apart from home market only models the U.K nearly always beat them to it on new models. Needless to say my HTC worked much better out there than it did on the home U.K networks.

For me It's gotta be. 1. Text messages, I was selling phones when they invented this shite, and told my boss at the time it was a good money spinner but would be the end of proper communications, I also told him he needed to get into PDA's and laptops as the tech was converging. He told me I didn't know what I was talking about.... Today he's out of business and I worked in the convergence of the two techs for the major players. Now when kids put text speak on English exam papers and cant understand why they get marked down, I think we have our answer for the future of mankind. Spend 15 mins with sentences of less than 160 characters, not likely, ringing up to say "sorry mate can't come to the Pub tonight" takes 2 mins tops. Lifes too short...# 2. Twitter I don't care what you ate for breakfast or where you have inventively found you can post messages from. Facebook good for one thing messaging my friends collectively, all the overseas travels I and my friends do and have done leaves us all over the place, phone calls would be expensive in this area. In this area it is better than good ole email. I must say though I spend more time with my Virtual fish , than my two ponds full of real ones. Twitter should be renamed Twatter. 3. Items that need jailbreaking before you can actually use them to the full potential. The Ipod is the prime example even the classic ones software is lame I have to say I prefer the home brewed replacement versions as they are more usable. The original Xbox a great media player when the MS O.S is removed and media software put on instead. Iphones you can keep em. My HTC is far better, regular updates no barring of flashplayer etc, likes all the file types I use, and just as many apps to fill it up with. My last HTC was a Windows one and MS even gave me the Dev kit for Windows Mobile and it allowed me to build my own custom builds. Try that on an Ipod Apple lovers 4. ITunes wtf is the point of buying an album saved at some ridiculously low bit rate and paying almost the same price as I can by it at my local Music store on a CD with better quality, and all I have to do is save it as a 320 bit mp3 and transfer it. My media server does it for me whenever I pop in a CD it has never seen before. 5. Smartphones while I have worked for some of the players in this market I cant stand the kids who "must" have one and then don't even use half of its capabilities, i'm not saying you should do all of it but when you buy the latest smartphone just to play angry birds and text your mates, and you don't use the internet on it as you didn't buy a data package on your talk plan because you can't afford it, is kinda like buying a car and pushing it as you can't afford the Gas to make it go. I think it all started going down hill when the first ape climbed out of the trees, or possibly not too long after the big bang.

I want this.... let me correct that I need this.....

That's why hasegawa need to do a Battroid version, at least then we can have both modes and then kit bash a Gerwalk.

Everyone in the known macross universe has been waiting for them. I had to settle with some recast parts and Jetfire spares. Thanks Silverdragon:)
-
So the question is what you gonna do with the left overs ? Make some kind of Hasegawa down grade kit.

I totally agree. That film did kind of run like a film with loads cut out. Also the Norrington, Jack story arc fell flat. Films that need a remake. Hmmm how about ... everything I think of has been done or its idea has already been used in another film. How about Buck Rogers. That has not been touched for a while, there's the nostalgia for the 30 somethings who remember it from the 80's and with a few storyline tweak it could be bang up to date for the now generation.

O.k this could be the only time ever I get to say Hollywood raped my childhood. I was 7 when that came out, it was the first film I ever saw in a cinema. I almost have as much Black Hole stuff as Macross stuff. Yeah they stuffed it up in a few places. Some of it due to script and some of it due to the actors, the space scene when boarding the probe ship, the actors didn't like the space suits so didn't wear them. The whole end bit was pure hippy poo. The book is only marginally different to the film, but fills in some gaps etc. You don't get to say that often. I,d love to see it done with modern effects etc, but fear it would loose all the kitch charm of the original. Just read an article by the would be director, he said he would keep the Cygnus and Maximilian designs but bring in new thinking due to science knowing more about black holes etc. If that is the case I'm down with that.

Yeah takes me back to when I saw Avatar my first 3D film, the trailers had some cartoons where they fired missiles and they went "into" the audience, everyone either ducked or reached out.
-

Saw Gulliver's Travels the other week and I experienced my first bit of slight negativity. The place in the cinema I sat was the same as I always sit, so not sure it was that but I found it a bit blurry some times. Could it be that the sweet spot can be different on different films or just that the Projection was off slightly, not sure but the next film I see in 3D (seen a few now) I will hopefully not have the blurry bits. Good film though non the less. The film Co's need to know that not all films need to be in 3D. The theatres need to know that just because its in 3D does not mean you can charge double the amount. The local cinema to me sells tickets at half the price of the multiplex down the road but uses the same screen and projector, plus its not owned by a massive conglomerate.

You know it was never going to be easy, but I salute you for trying. If you end up using the Photo etched stuff, Newca a member here has some excellent ones that make the Hasegawa ones look limited, and they cost less than Hasegawa ones

Prometheus - on Blu-Ray and DVD Oct. 9, 2012
big F replied to Pizza the Hutt's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well done right it could be a true successor to the original 4 films. Its made very obvious that the Weylan - Yutani company is slightly corrupt and all consuming, seeing as how they are constantly referred to in all films, they own the whole shooting match. It would be easy to say they they just covered up the whole Temple under the Ice incident it is such a remote site it would be easy. They are well aware of the Aliens and Predators long before they get to send humans to other stars in their company ships years later. By the time they get to Terra forming planets then you can bet that there are dozens of Bishop units out there with secret instructions to procure samples no matter the cost. There is so much possible for this story, I hope they don't Frell it up. -
Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time

At least you got sidelined for a good reason -
This thread needs to be re-named to The WM Cheng guide to how to make the factory Yamato SDF1 not look naff, because before you add Mr Cheng to the mix it looks good then side by side with a WM Cheng modded one it looks bland. Simply amazing work.
