  1. Well isn't that supposed to be 12/12/12, so hopefully he wont be finished ruining TMNT by then. Me too I still have some of the comics in storage, they were great because they were so different. No Spandex and dual personalities like Marvel and DC Heroes etc Poor Turtles I feel for you.
  2. LOL that would be awesome but I fear the set would have to be shipped with a microscope and tweezers.
  3. I think you should consider casting all of them as a kit, with collections taking up so much space these days this is the ultimate in space saving. Plus think of the saving in paint costs. Seriously thought your eyesight must be awesome.
  4. Or maybe his altverse twin. Non transforming mecha would kinda remove the whole feel of Macross, but maybe limiting it to only a few items like destroids as flying stuff is pushing it by today tech and theoretical ideas let alone 100+ years ago. The SDF as a Super Dreadnaught though would be cool, and have the Prometheus and ARMD 1 as dockable support Destroyers. The Transformers trip to a what if independence era U.S.A was one of the things that got me thinking about it. Bumblebee as a yellow steam train is great. All the steel plate and rivets and Brunell style engineering. As far as magic/alchemy is concerned Macross has its fair share of that so inclusion in Macross 1899 is kinda needed if only to explain away some stuff like powerful robot like stuff and fast flying and uber energy systems. Macross for me was always a story that happened to have robotics and space in it. As far as arguing its subject category is concerned many a post on StarWars forums have discussed that kinda thing to no conclusion, imo sci-fi and fantasy go hand in hand, and sci-fi can't work with out fantasy. I'm sketching up a Roy Focker in Victorian garb and as soon as I'm done I will post it here.
  5. Spot on therefore the whole tech solution is solved, you can now have airships and planes etc. mmm!! Steam powered destroids....... Make it cannon
  6. I agree I always thought of DYRL as a Macross universe version of a film account of an event that happened or a Docudrama type thing. That and the Animation was far better and kind of said to me here's what we could have done if we had extra cash and time. now they could re do it and chop out the filler maybe put in some other back story to fill it back out, and bang you have a whole boat load of new possibilities with new and old fans and all that follow on merchandising.
  7. Keith you do have a point. But what if they didn't come from space ? In Sillof's wild west and Victorian StarWars they are very much earth bound characters. What I was thinking was the Zentran's could be a super power or a mega corp. Think Captain Nemo style, not 50 foot high and green. Maybe the SDF 1 was a kind of flying warship battleship loaded with the Nemo style future tech. I'm thinking more Disney Nemo on that front though. Roy Focker dressed in a Victorian era Soldiers uniform crossed with a WW 1 fighter pilot suit. Max would be a Victorian era rich boy barons son who happens to be an airship pilot and therefore an ideal person to be involved. Hikaru is a circus acrobat who is friends with Roy, and gets caught up in the conflict. Minmay is a serving girl at a local public house. Captain Global is basically Captain Nemo in Victorian military garb. The Zentran troops are not grown but are brain washed stooges acquired by the press gangs as was the way of getting sailors sometimes. There fleshed out my Macross 1899, hope that helps give some ideas.
  8. Thing that I did not mention is that there also seems to be a back story created for these Alt versions, and also some Cinema posters made by other artists. Figure modding is far from new, its as old as figures are, but every now and then something catches your eye. I look at my figures in a different light now
  9. I frequent several websites other than Macrossworld and one of them is http://man-e-toys.com an awesome web site profiling custom made toys as art and also concept toy based art. An artist called Sillof creates figures of alternate versions of things like Star Wars, Dune etc. Below is a what if Starwars was set in the era of the Samurai. He has also done Star Wars Victorian and WWII among others. See all his work at http://truteknologyf...group.jpg?w=510 I thought of Macross instantly with a what if the SDF1 had crashed in 1899 instead?. So My thought were filled with an airship version of the Valk VF1 Prop driven Zentran fighters and an Iron clad Destroid with a Gatling gun and all covered in rivets. I'm not the artist I used to be so cant put my ideas down although my head is full of them.
  10. One of the actors was on the radio the other day and they asked him about the film and he said that Ridley had sent him an email saying what he couldn't talk about, He said he didn't read the email so he wouldn't talk about it in case he suffered the wrath of Ridley. They did recap on everything that was already public about it I was still skeptical, so it was nice to see a trailer that shows it may be worth the cost of a ticket.
  11. Bout time we got some Macross Love from the big B shame I dont have a JPN version of the game
  12. That would wake up Humungy Gauwld all right.
  13. If you still need the scans I will be going to my parents next week where my Macross stuff is all in storage and I can snag you the scans, what DPI do you want them in ?
  14. A nice design there, would be simple to change it to 001 or 011 or 013 etc and give it yellow or blue or green etc. You could sew in a flexy plastic visor in the hood, that could fold out for use. I saw something similar on a hoodie where there were a set of goggles sewn into the hood.
  15. Looks like I will be buying the Xbox version for ME1 and the rest of them on PS3. Either way I may have my new Halo
  16. His work was inspirational and at the same time a bench mark for others to try and reach, his style of work is evident everywhere. RIP and thanks for everything.
  17. I reserve any form of judgement until I at least see a trailer or some kind of interview.
  18. Just played the PS3 demo for this and all I can say is how come this series passed me by, maybe I was too centered on Halo, gonna have to bag me the first two. Question is though which format is better Xbox or PS3, I can do either.
  19. Exactly, similarly the same thing happened in BSG except the original did kinda suck, although we all still love it.
  20. Either love it or hate it JJ Abrahams has done to Star Trek what Russell T Davies did to Dr Who, with out those two both properties would be just relegated to the bargain bin and something fondly remembered by us old people on the internet and in pubs and bars across the lands.
  21. your work so far is excellent, keep it up
  22. Looks like it. I would be happy with a standard one that I could build how I like as Fighter, Gerwalk of Batroid.
  23. Just re watched the last one and I still like it, left me thinking where would they take the series now seeing as they have effectively erased all of the original series and TNG etc. At least with some of TNG that is a good thing.
  24. Just don't sneeze while holding one of those lil guys
