I have mailed Jesse to ask if he would like me to contribute in the building of pages and/or templates for pages. I to have a large favorites folder just full of links to builds and finnished pictures. Sadly some of the links no longer work It would be nice to pin them down somewhere perminant.

I had thought about getting one, but was worried about sticking it together. Hasegawa Vf1`s arnt the best aroung the cockpit area when it comes to lining em up. I would be interested too hear about and see anyones efforts . The translucent colours thing is a great idea

He probably gets a nice fat pay check from the Gundam manufactures. Sounds remincent of me when I posted on the Micro$oft Xbox forum and used the words "modded" and "Pirate" in the same post. Citadel paints rock I used to paint leads back in the mid 80`s and all but one of my bottles was still a go`er last year when I looked at them. They are great for tiny details and such. I actually bought some the other day to finnish off my 12 inch vinyl model of Kryten from Red Dwarf. Sorry you American types wont know what that is, google it and you`ll get the idea. I`ll post pics when his head is finnished.

Yeah they stink alright. Good finnish though providing all the dust and bugs in creation dont hear that your doing a paint job and come looking for you.

If you want directish paint conversions try these web sites :- Gunze to everone and Tamiya acrylic pages There are a few missing but mostly they are not Macross related ones Sometimes your best bet is your own eye mix your own. At the end of the day its your model, so its your choice.

In my experience I have only had problems with Tamiya when I use anything but the Tamiya Thinners. It would seem that htey just dont like anythin but thier own brand thinners. Its a shame as they only come in smallish tins and bottles as for the price of the largest container I can get a Gallon of Iso. Mixing Tamiya with water can sometimes work out but mostly I have found it doesnt. Brushing it You always need to do several coats as it always goes thin in some areas. I have found that a base primer makes it behave better.

LOL I bought mine in Japan last year when they first came out. Back when people would stop you on the train and ask what it was. I agree its great for sitting on the bog surfing the net, or sitting out side Starbucks drinking Coffee looking at the world go by while surfing the net. Expensive really but I never bought any games for it other that the ones I bought in Japan while I was there. They are way to expensive in the U.K

Ahhh Paper I remember paper. We had paper before we chopped all the trees down. Seriously real books are great and I still cant get used to reading a book on a plastic hand held device that runs outof power right before the good part. They are good though when space is tight.

There would have to be some sort of voting system or proposals page though.

Im sure that Halfords paints were different in the old days. When I used to paint B.M.X frames in the time when Macross was new they were quite smelly and would melt plastic sheeting and styreene. I noticed a few years ago when I bought one for a touch up job on my car that they were completely different. In sunlight the paint cured off really fast and if you got it right it looked like it was lacqured even when it wasnt. This conicided with the can lables being redisigned. Maybe this was the time they binned the older environment unfriendly paints of old. The new stuff dosnt make you cough and see flying trees and talking busses like the old stuff. The lacquer still is not nice and you should still use a mask to be safe.

Well the best thing I have found so far for mine is white automotive primer in a can the type you get from the auto shops superstores we have Halfords over in the U.K, i cant remember what the equivalent is in the U.s but Autobacs come to mind for some reason. Basically anywhere that has the large rows of paint for all the different manufacturers and models in the hand held spray cans. With mine I rubed them down with fine wet and dry and a bit of water. Cleanned em out with a nail brush and warm tap water and just before paint gave them a quick wipe over with Isopropanol alchol to make sure they were grease free. I think the pmost of these type paints are now Acrylic based and they set well can be sanded and are not too thick laying as to cover details on the plastic parts. I have also used this same paint to prime resin and Vinyl and also on my 1/72 hasegawas. The red colour for the Nissan Z300 just so happens to be the same (as near as I can get it ) to the colour on Hikarus Vf1-J and Milia`s red custom VF1-J. There are others of these paints that are also good Macross friendly matches for posible use. Works for me and is cheap and I dont have to clean out my airbrush afterwards.

Well A friend of mine has several 1 gig memory sticks for his PSP he rips his DVd`s and t.v programmes to it and watches them on the train to work. He can also get live t.v on his cell phone but prefers the bigger screen on the PSP. I cant remember the name of the programme he uses to rip bit I know it also does the job for his phone and will work on his photo Ipod. Basically it has loads of settings and an ability to convert format to format as well. Looks good to me as long as the source material is good the result is also good. He watches Macross Zero on it with subs, and also has usewd it to watch Red Dwarf and StarWarsf e.t.c. He recons it is as good as the UMD output. I will get the name of the programme (I think its freeware) and post it here

Yeah he made a penny or two on them so much so that others tried to mimick him, but none that I saw were a patch on the original al11 Evil Jetfires. my brother was blown away when he saw them on eBlag. He had forgotten about his Jetfire, and now wants it boxed and restored to new condition so he can display it, in his office at work.

If I remember in the episode that Hikaru Max, Kakizaki and Misa are captured by the Zentradi. After Bretai is pushed into space in the fight with Hikaru, one of the troops is concerned about the commanders well being. He comments about being stronger than the troops. With that in mind that would suggest the caste system and breeding sytem mentioned by JBO is in fact truth in the Macross world.

Is there that much difference between the Reissues and the Originals. I can see a few deatial differences but apart from that... I dont own any reissues just old skool originals. Im like Kanata or Bobe just on a much smaller scale, but Im looking at a few Valks who would love to be dressed in armor.

When you say customs do you mean Garage mods or shop bought factory modded ?
