The only way thay will even start to make this, is by getting actors who look like young Shatner and Nimoy etc to do this as someone who just looks good behind the camera will be no good. just think if they had used then new actors in BSG but kept the old scripts. It wouldnt have worked. How difficult is it to get some college photos of Bill and Lennod and go through some casting agenceys bookes to find someone who looks the same. Just add a good/outstanding script and they may pull it off. I do think that the prequel thing is over, after all Lucas is done with it and Enterprise is dead. finish with it and do eaither a new (after TNG era) series or just can it for a few years and do something when everyone is really clamoring for it.

Are Macross 7 Fx Dvds Getting Rare?
big F replied to The White Comet's topic in Movies and TV Series
There are quite a few of them in Tokyo. They are a bit pricey. I have seen them separate and as the combined box set. Ive run out of room So theyll have to wait till September when I return. If they are still there then ( they were last year) then I bag em. -
You didn't mention if it was Strike Cannon or not. 393337 Oh my bad Its a strike.

Well for big openings I have started to use Automobile two part body filler. Its softer to sand than the usual Tamiya standard filler I use. It mixes well with the Tamiya and Mr. White putty filler and works well as I can build up on it after putting in the bulk with car filler. I have also used two part apoxy glues like Devcon. Its great for areas than need strength for loading (like the baljoint areas) but it is more difficult to sand. The car filler works very well and is cheaper than Tamiya, it paints well and can be sculpted and sawn as well. I have bought some more bits and bobs while Im in Japan Including more parts for customs and a boxed complete Taka VF1-J which cost me Y2000. cheap as chips. I have more macross stuff than room in my case.

O.K Yodabashi Camera in Shinjuku in Tokyo have now got the display models of the stealth Vf-1 and the Vf-0. They look great the stealth is really good in person. Aisuke from the model department has told me they are getting the Saleable Vf`s on the 28th they will go on sale on the 28th. They are expecting them to go out of stock quiclky. Just to give you an idea of how busy and renound this store is, they had a stock of Nintendo DS lite delivered today. I got one without queing (its who you know in this world). They had security guards posted in case of trouble and sold out in a couple of hours. People qued down the road to get one. This sort of thing is very normal in Shinjuku. Sadly this means I wont get mine till after I fly out of Japan on Tuesday. Hopefully Yamato will release something for September when I come back.

Wow I never realised there was so much wrong about the matchbox figure. Good work. -
STAY CALM... STAY CALM AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!! What are you saying........... Well heres a picture of my Japan Macross based haul so far. All other non macross goodies have been removed. This kinda makes up for the lack of a Zero.

Just rechecked at the shop they look like they are not posable afterall. Shame they look so like the larger Gundam hands. I can only assume they just plug in to the peg holes left by the standard hands. Looks like I will have one at the end of the week as I cant get a VF0 by the time I have to return from Japan. When I do I`ll hopefully answer your questions.

Well I just got back from Yodabashi Camera and having spoken to a chap in the modeling department, between my not very good Japanese and his not so bad Engrish. I have found out that they are not getting shipments from Yamato untill the end of the month. I feel kinda bummed by that as I was hoping to get one before I have to go home. Oh well never mind. They look so good in the flesh. Just have to buy another 1/48 gbp instead.
-
Nah ! I dont tend to go to LAOX as its a bit touristy and I never end up buying from them. Well I suppose I could make an exception. I hope that they will be available before I fly out of here. I supose I could fill the rest of my bag with 1/48`s instead.

I can try and answer some of your questions. Others here are more quailified to answer the rest. The whole skull thing is an on going one. the only way I know of is to repaint the tail wings and add new skulls straight. You can get waterslide decals for the 1/48`s which are much better than the standard stickers from various places made by our very own Anazazi37. As far as pannel lines are concerned there are many methods. you can use Gundam pens, fine line perminant markers, draftsman pencils, oil washing or my personal favorite thinnned down Tamiya black paint ( the consistancy of writing ink) dropped into the lines via a fine paint brush. There are guides to how to do it on the web and also if I remember here on MWF. You could also ask the paint gods here like WMCheng and co They have probably forgotten more than I know about painting. Customising is an area that can range from the 10 min fix to the complete teardown and rebuild, there are people here who are better quailified than me. My area is 1/55`s, as far as my 1/60`s and 1/48`s are concerned I tend to just pannel line and put a few knocks and scrapes on them, and may be sort out ill fitting parts. As far as the hands are concernened the ones that come with the GBP kit are much more in keeping with the anime I think. Obviously you could just get a GBP and use the hands while not using the GBP parts. This would be really expensive. The hands are not too dissimilar to Some Gundam hands. You can buy spare hands for them made by co`s like Wave and Kotobukiya, but as I have not seen them in person I can not be specific which ones you need, all the scales are listed as Gundam scales which I think are different to Macross. I am currently looking for some while Im in Japan for myself when I find somewhere that has them in stock I`ll post to let you know. I know that the clown hands have been recast and were being sold by someone here but I dont think the GBP articulated ones have been. If they have I want some. Hope that helped you a bit and welcome to the board.

Well if they are available then I have missed them. I went to all the usual Yamato stockests in both AKI and Shunjuku. and they are all still waiting. One shop in Aki had on in store on display (they wouldnt let me photo it ) when I asked about buying one they told me it was out of stock but I could place an order.
-
Looks good to me I wanted to go to the one at Halloween last year but couldnt. Trouble is I think thats rhe same weekend as Run to the Sun.
-
Thats why they are not available. Im in Tokyo now wheres my VF0 Yamato.

Well i watched it ( its still on sometimes here), it was good dont think too hard SciFi. I saw most of the episodes and Although I am not a quantum leap Groupie or what not, I have a reallly good memory for stuff like that. Yes he did leap into a woman twice i think. Yes he was also a chimp He miss jumped in to Al and was able to come home for a couple of episodes. He did end up in the U.S independance war. He also went to Nam as his brother I recall that he also had to play at being his father too. If I remember rightly he jumped just before having to actually give birth. He Also actualy fathered a child too who grew up to be come a scientist who actually worked on the Quantum Leap project in 1999 . Although she worked for Sam he and she didnt know he was her father until after he jumped from the body of the guy he was being who was her father. He later jumped back into the same man, and if i remember correctly told the mother what happened. The last episode was all religious in context. Sam dosent go home he just keeps on jumping and suposedly helping people. The best bit though was the use of the British actors to play the evil quantum leapers who wanted to mess up time. It was the whole equals and oposites thing, Ying yang if you will. British actors make the best baddies. Wuh Wha ha ha ha !!!! There endeth the Quantum Leap lessons Dont bother wasting time posting that you think Im a geek. Its been said too many times already.

Are you bloody kidding me! that’s one of the best intros for a macross game that I have ever seen the models look wicked. I’m loving this mod already and I haven’t even played it yet! 386737 I seccond that If I had half the skills in that area I`d be stoked. All I can say is make it longer..... about 20mins should do it

It is dark blue if you want some good pictures then just ask.

I live in the U.K so unlike the U.S.A the model shops are less likely to stock this away form the normal safe easy to sell product type of thing. Add that to the fact that model shops seem to be a dying breed in the U.K. I was hoping some one might say "Hey you can order them from www. somthingorother.com"
