  1. When I was in Japan the other week (just before the launch) the shop I usually buy my modeling stuff from said that if they had one for every U.S or U.K or Jap person that had asked for one that would dozens. But chances were they would only get a few so everyone was asked to go onto a waitng list.
  2. Thinnner lines/areas of grey and maybe more white added to it to thin it down a little. That said I kinda like it like it is. What scale is it, this can have an affect on how much shading yoiu should add. The idea is to slightly darken the area around seem lines or edges. You can do the process in reverse. Paint the whole area in the darker shade and then center out the middle of each pannel with the correct colour. There were some Japanese modle making videos posted on a torrent site a while ago showing you how to do it among other things. A link was posted on M.W. I have the files they are arround 100+ megs each. I have though of posting them to my web space during a weekend if the interest was there.
  3. WOW!!!
  4. Cool something I can recreate. I have all those colours already.
  5. OMG you mean its not real .......(faints)....... My whole life has been based on a lie.
  6. Great work Just out of interest what did you use for the skin tone ? Invariably anything that says its skin tone is usually not IMO. Yours looks right to me though. I have a couple of figures that are all but done except the skin tone.
  7. Cheers for that I think it has helped.
  8. If I remember from old the Belgian army has no problems with long hair. In fact when my friend was serving in the ArmyAir core he said that they refered to the Belgian army as the hippies as most of them had long hair. It seemed that they didnt need the regulation cut. Maybe they could have got away with long and blue.
  9. I have gundam remover pens. They work well and can also be used to smudge the pens to make a dirt or wear marks. Isopropyl alcohol works well too. Its cheap and can also take off Tamiya acrylics too.
  10. I have for a few years now been trying to get into Gundam I have some of the DVDs and some Gashapon`s but last trip to Japan I was really thinking about getting a couple of Gundam kits. I dont know which brands are best and also what sizes. Basically I was thinking good quality builds arround the size of a 1/72 Hasegawa. The gundam scales arent the same as Macross as far as I know. Any info on what to go for and sizes would be great.
  11. I now have 3 1/72 VF-17`s I am planning a custom so needed spares to make casts from. But Im always looking for more (even though I dont really need any) if I come across any I`ll post and let you know. As Graham says there are a few arround still but they are heavy and can cost a bit to post. Prices can vary quite a bit from approx £15 - over £100 depending on where you get it from.
  12. Well I just keep clicking refresh untill its back again. I used/have many other forum memberships but due to my time being very limited nowadays I tend to just stay here and at the starshipmodler site and clubgti.com. If Mw is down for a while I tend to just spend money on eBay to get me by until its back
  13. Well If I went blind tomorow the only real shame would be I`d no longer be able to see your work.

  15. I so could have writen the same as buglips. Your methods have already inspired me and I am working on my own sculpthing right now.
  16. The black bags also contain the damp removing stuff (cant remember what its called) that usually says "dont eat" on the package. the weight correction is so you cant shake and guess in the shop. In my brand new pack of 10 I got 3 with this stuff packed in. Just as a guide you can get the 002 series at HLJ you get a box of ten and it usually has two of each of the five. worth it if you want to finnish the collection without the hassel of eBay etc, works out cheaper.
  17. Im sure with your methodical workmanship it will all end well.
  18. Wait until the Zentraedi termites hear about it.
  19. Well Mine were waiting for me at work on my first day back after my trip to Japan. That softened the blow of going to work with jetlag. Great job I`ll post some pictures when I`ve had time to point some paint in their direction,
  20. Great job so far I wasnt familiar with this type of mech thing but it looks good non the less. Those are the same joints I use for my customs and they can hold quite a lot of weight. I just got back from Japan with a sack load of them and other joint type parts. Someone asked what they were made of well its nylon impregnated plastic and they come in various sizes.
