  1. The below is copied from the Macross Compendium: 1/100 VF-19 Custom Fire Valkyrie Perfect Variable Garage kit Designer: Hajime Takashima Full-action transformable, poseable Resin-cast Limited-edition red casting, Basara figure (Wonder Festival release only), openable shoulder speaker system (regular release only) Requires polycap joints (sold separately) Studio HalfEye 1999 February 7 (Wonder Festival release) 1999 November (regular release) Y21000 (Wonder Festival release) Y22050 (Wonder Festival release, tax included) Y25,200 (regular release, tax included) In the picture above the one on the left is the Limited-edition red casting with Basara figure. The one in the center is the regular release with openable shoulder speaker system. The only difference between the boxes themselves is the sticker on the left side. If you'd like I can get you better pictures of the stickers. Thanks, Carl
  2. Looking at it again I think you are correct. However your comment above started me thinking. Is there a second SHE YF-19 box out there? As for your YF-21 that states 1/100 on it, is it for sale? Feel free to PM me but its identical to mine that states 1/75. The only difference being those 3/2 characters on the box. Ideally I could find someone with your box that plans to build it and would be willing to part with the box but if your price isn't too bad for the whole kit I'd certianly consider it. Thanks, Carl
  3. Noel, Do you have that second YF-19 kit you show above? Looks like I'm missing that box variant. I'm not sure I ever knew the YF-19 was released with that box art. If you have that kit PM me and let me know how much you want for it. If not can you tell me where you got that picture? By the way do you have the YF-21 with the black and white box art that says 1/100 scale? Mine says 1/75 scale. Thanks, Carl
  4. Thanks... I just preordered mine as well. Carl

Welcome to the forums Mr. Sakuragawa. How have you enjoyed working for Yamato? http://member.nifty.ne.jp/musyuku/VT-1%27.html Yes, I've read the rest of the thread. And yes this was featured in an issue of Model Graphix. I think it was sometime in 2001, I can't find it at the moment. It's an I.H.P kit that as far as I know never saw ANY release. He just made it to be featured in Model Graphix. Just as his SDP-1... http://member.nifty.ne.jp/musyuku/SDP-1.html was only made to be featured in Character Model. http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/magazi...m_jun2001a3.jpg Enjoy, Carl
  6. Very interesting. I've seen a fair bit of VB-6 line art but I don't think I've seen this picture. If anyone has it PLEASE post. Thanks, Carl
  7. Greg, I don't think you know me but I'm so saddened by your news. Try to be strong for your daughter. She still needs you. If there is any help I can offer please PM me. There is a whole in my heart too that has been there for 20 years and I can say this. Even though a part of you has now died a part of her is still alive in you and your daughter. Hold on to that love and in time it will help you put the pieces back together. Please be strong and when you are weak lean on your friends, Carl
  8. Just for the record there are atleast 3 variable kits out there. Take a look: By the way this remind me that I've still never seen Robotech: The Untold Story (aka Robotech: The Movie) anyone know if it's avaiable on DVD yet. I've already been told it isn't very good but I'd still like to atleast see it at some point. Later, Carl
  9. Hello guys, I wasn't sure this was the right place to put this but I was sure someone here could help me. A friend of mine sent me her Jeremiah Season 2 VCDs, the part Showtime hasn't aired yet. She has asked for them back so I've tried to make my own copies. So far I haven't had any success. My first attempt was to copy the 4 directories (CDI, MPEGAV, SEGMENT, and VCD) off of each CD and put them in a directory on my hard drive as I only have one CD drive on this PC. I then copied each of those directories onto a blank CD-R. All looked good until I tried to play them on my DVD. It couldn't read them but it could read the originals which are also CD-R's by the way. Can anyone help? I assume its a formatting issue. I miss the days of DOS when I could just do copy a: a: to copy a disk. Atleast back then I understood what I was doing most of the time. Now it seems I spend alot of time guessing what Windows will do. What I want to do is a copy d: d: in Windows XP in such a way that it preserves the formating. By the way, anyone know how to play a VCD on a PC? That's not as big a deal as long as I can play it on my DVD player. Thanks, Carl
  10. I too tend to think the default mode is gerwalk. Check out this picture: I don't think I've ever seen a picture of this thing on the ground in shuttle mode. To be honest are we even sure this thing CAN take off on its own? I've always sort of seen this thing taking off with the assist of a booster just like the Space Shuttle. Either that or being dropped from a ship in orbit. Just my 2 cents, Carl
  11. It’s not that. Or atleast that's not how I see it. I'm not the biggest Spiderman fan I know. There are many cases where images of the World Trade Center Towers got pulled after 9/11 and I totally understand families not wanting to see the collapse over and over again. But there is ALOT more history to the World Trade Center Towers then just 9/11. Why does the ugly always have to outweigh the rest? The World Trade Center towers were something American's were proud of once. I still am. So why is it now something to hide? I don't blame the towers. If the issue is the number of people that died then why do we still see images of cars, airplanes, and guns in movies? If those aren’t specific enough how about the Titanic? Spiderman in NO way glorified what happened on 9/11. You are correct that the reason I brought this topic up has to do with the fact that I liked the movies, but even if I didn't I'd still think the World Trade Center Towers were getting the short end of the stick. As a point of contrast... has anyone here seen the Spiderman comic that JMS did about 9/11? Am I to take that to mean it's ok to show the Twin Towers as long as one is talking about 9/11? Wouldn't that be MORE likely to upset the families of those lost? Maybe the best way to put into words what I'm feeling is to ask these questions. What is your first thought when you hear the word Titanic? How about the Hindenburg? I just think there should be a resistance to giving in and letting the Twin Towers become the embodiment of terrorism. That is what they (the terorists) wanted and I don't want to give it to them. I'd think the families of those lost would agree.
  12. Hello everyone, I just took my family to see Spiderman 2 yesterday and we all loved the movie. It's great. But I'm not here to ask about Spiderman 2. Not long ago I got the deluxe DVD set of Spiderman 1. It included many extra and alot of stuff about Spiderman 2 as well. My Spiderman 1 DVD set included the teaser trailer for Spiderman 2 but what erks me was that it didn't contain the teaser trailer for Spiderman 1. Why? I know the short answer... it feathered the World Trade towers. I saw it while it was posted on-line back in 2001 and after 9/11 I went to save it but it had already been pulled. I was looking forward to seeing it again. I thought it was very well made and I'd love to have a copy. However the powers that be seem to think ANY image of the World Trade Towers is politically incorrect and it seems there is a push to forget they ever existed. WHY!? I'm sure a lot of work went into making that teaser trailer and I see NO reason that shouldn't have been in the DVD set. If we let the terrorists control how we think and what we can see then they win. So why do we give them that power? I just don't get it. I really don't want this to turn into a political discussion but does ANY one know if there are ANY plans to ever release the Spiderman 1 teaser trailer? If anyone downloaded it back then PM me. Thanks, Carl
  13. Kewl... May I ask where this info is coming from? Carl
  14. Anyone know who did the voice over for this video. Was it Scott? Just curious, Carl
  15. I notice the pictures I posted above don't show up for me. Can everyone else see them ok? If not I'm attaching one here so you can see what I'm talking about. And yes what we are talking about I think is the same thing. However I was under the impression that there were quite a bit more then just 4 episodes. I believe it was meant to be a full series. I think the plug got pulled before the series was finsihed but I was under the impression maybe a dozen episodes had been released in Japan. Speed Racer Enterprises had transleated the pilot into English and did sell it on a CD which you could play on a PC. It also included the original Japanese opening and closing credits and I thought had some very brief info on the other episodes and there was a statement to the effect the others would be translated to English if there proved to be interest. I never heard much more about it from Speed Racer Enterprises. However it seems everything about this series is coming out in Japan except the series: Here is the diecast Mach 5: The sound track: The game boy game: Some cells: Just to name a few of the items that are up for auction on Yahoo Japan at the moment. I've seen line art, and even an art book for the series once that I wish I had gotten. I just want to see what there is of the series to see at this point. What I have seen I've liked. If anyone knows anything about this series or OVA coming out on DVD please let me know. Thanks, Carl
  16. Kewl... I like. Those boots look like they'd sure be hard to run in though. Is there ANY play at the ankle? I'm really looking forward to the animation. I hope it features the transformation sequence. Keep up the good work, Carl
  17. Yes, I remember it but was never able to bring myself to actually sit through an episode. Anyone remember this version on the Mach 5? Now that is one I actually liked. I haven't checked on it lately but I believe 1 or two episodes were actually translated into English. I think the pilot was called Speed Racer Y2K or something like that. Anyone know if the rest of that series is ever coming out on DVD in Japan? I'd love to SEE the rest of it even if it's not translated into English. Carl
  18. Have you got a picture of that resin 1/48 YF-23? Carl
  19. I agree with the being faithful to the line art comment. I'd like to see this detail added to the cargo bay doors. I assume its a missle launcher. I'm not 100% sure. I have a much larger picture if anyone wants to try and read the text. Enjoy, Carl

    clear jets?

I believe there have been some decal sets that have only been released at events. Though they may have later been released with kits. Other then that I'm sad to say I'm not too sure. I was keeping up with Hasegawa there for a while but while I was unemployed I really lost track of what they were putting out and I haven't tried to catch up yet. Maybe after I'm settled again. If anyone has a complete list of every Macross Item Hasegawa has released I'd certainly be interested myself. Carl

    clear jets?

Not that I'm aware of. I do know Tanmen (not the most popular name around here these days) was working on a grade-up kit for these clear kits. It wasn't to make them transformable though. It was to add interior detail. Here is the engine he was working on. Here is an earlier picture for scale: Enjoy, Carl
  22. I assume he's saying the breaks caused the fire. What I don't get though is the bidding. It's up to $6000. The whole thing is toast. I've seen cars in better shape that you couldn't sell to a junk yard for $100. And like zeo-mare said the guy has a reserve that HASN'T been meet. Can someone that knows more about Lamborghinis explain this to me? I feel like I've got to be missing something. Carl

    clear jets?

There are TWO different sets of the colored clear kits. The normal release that you show and the event only release that came it a different style box. You can see the event only release kits here: http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e38742805 Enjoy... Carl
  25. Read the text from his image gallery. I believe they are making 5 of them, one for each student. Carl
