Too funny... By the way, I saw the original Land of the Lost the other day at WalMart. I loved that series as a kid and was thinking about picking it up but stories like this have me a bit worried. Anyone know if they butchered that job too? Carl
-
Actually no. I'd love to get my hands on the Kubricks Tank but to be honest I've been having enough fun playing with my CGI models to really look all that hard for it. I've never seen one in person. If I had ever passed one in a store I'm sure I would have picked it up. I'm sure eBay probably has them all the time but I generally don't go there unless I have to. Anyone here have a spare set they aren't asking too much for? Carl

Here are a couple new renders... This one is called "More Power" And this one is called "A Shot in the Dark" Enjoy, Carl

One lets you build the kit without the fast pack. The other has a couple extra guns, detailed up hands, and a couple other detailed up parts. Look at the pictures of the box covers and you should be able to tell what you'd be getting. Carl

Beat me to the bunch. I was just about to point that out myself. You can see pictures of them here: http://www.macrossworld.com/macross/models/b-club/b-club.htm Enjoy, Carl

The Club-M kit comes with parts so you can built it in gerwalk mode if you want to. The Musasiya kit doesn't. And tecnically these aren't the same subject. The Club-M kit is a VF-4G were as the Musasiya is a VF-4. I'm not sure what the difference is exactly but someone here can probably clue us in. Personally I really like the Musasiya but the Club-M is a very nice kit too. I don't really care for the Retppu kit. Just my 2 cents, Carl

For when those wheels just slow you down too much.
wwwmwww replied to wwwmwww's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
I'm calling this one "Dawn of a New Game". Enjoy, Carl -
Oh... I wish I had the skill. Maybe someday. Carl

Thank you so much. Here is what I came up with. Its the average of 16 frames about like my first one except with the cycles moved by a very small amout between frames. What do you think? Enjoy, Carl

I think you hit the nail on the head. That sounds very very familiar. They were jumped and I don't remember seeing the attacker. Do you have that teaser trailer or have any idea where I could find it? Thank you so much guys, Carl
-
Thanks for the input guys. The particular sequence I'm thinking of wasn't in the game per say. It was a movie file released before the game. It was probably made up of footage that was later used in the game though. It ended with the name of the game getting flashed across the screen followed by "coming soon" or a release date. I'm not really after the game but that movie file but if I can't find that and there is a way to pull those sequences out of the game I'd be interested in seeing that too. I just wasn't sure where to start looking. Thanks, Carl

In conversation recently a topic came up that I haven't thought much about recently. I've always been a big fan of the B-Wing design and I remember a teaser short that was released in advance of a new Star Was PC game coming out. This was about 10 years ago. I loved that little short and saved it. I have no idea where it is now. As I recall it showed the wing rotating around the cockpit of a B-Wing while I think another B-Wing was shot out of the sky in the back ground. There was a detailed pilot and cockpit on the foreground. I think there was also a B-Wing landing sequence in there somewhere. Anyone out there remember that little teaser short or the game that it was tied to? I didn't have much time for games then and still don't now but I'd like to try and track down that short again. Thanks, Carl

I just took a quick peak here: http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://halfeye.m78.com/ It has some of the pics but most don't seem to come up. There are some of the smaller pics of the VF-11 here that still come up but the larger copies seem to be gone. http://web.archive.org/web/20011212022640/.../vf11/vf11.html If you find any of the larger ones digging let me know, Carl

Is that picture off the kit? It looks like one saved from SHE's web page to me. I know SHE used to have a ton of nice Macross Pictures like that on his web page that you could click on to get larger copies. He took them down quite some time ago though. I had saved them all but lost access to that PC when I lost my job with TI. I don't think I have them any more. I'll try to check the kit this weekend but if anyone else out that has copies of the Macross pics from SHE's web site I too would be interested. Thanks, Carl
-
I got all mine as they came out so I don't think I have any of the 'Thanks Campaign' re-release versions. I was expecting them to be identical as all the SHE kits I've seen are top notch quality. As rkiyo pointed out there apparently were some differences but I've never really heard anyone say the quality was better or worse for the re-releases. Carl

I found the original file. I made the wall and tails longer, moved the camera and turned off the transparency so it would render in a reasonable time. I probably should have moved some of the light sources too but I haven't yet. Let me know what you think of this: Carl
-
Thanks... As for a sequel, I know the people behind the original want to do one and some pre-production artwork has been made. However its not very clear what Disney has planned at the moment. You might find some more here: http://www.tron-sector.com/forums/default.aspx?do=frm&id=140 Carl

His name is Jay Maynard. Are they calling him Miltron? I don't watch the Jimmy Kimmel Show. Carl
-
Yes. I could if I still have that scene file. I've played around with that scene a fair bit so I'm not sure its still in the same state. Plus I'm sure the two tails and the back wall just went back far enough to cover that angle. I'd probably have to extent them. Also a scene that that many reflective and transparent surfaces can take several days if not weeks to render. My code isn't as optimized as it should be. Let me finish the few things I have going at the moment and I'll see what I can come up with. Will do... just give me about a week, maybe two. Thanks, Carl
-
Is Miltron that guy from Dextor's Labs? If not could someone clue me in. Thanks, Carl
-
Can it be done... probably. Can I do it? No, not without learning alot more about photoshop. I think I can do it with POV-Ray however. I'd just need to render about 10 frames (maybe less, maybe more) with the bikes moving between frames. Then average the frames together. Atleast I think that would work. I'll try it sometime. I have a few other things rendering at the moment. Carl
-
Hello Solscud007, Motion blur is a little hard to do in POV-Ray but I think it can be done with frame averaging. Here is the closest thing I have to what you are asking for at the moment. Enjoy, Carl
-
That's sure to make one scratch their head. I don't have a clue what it's trying to say.

Hello Guys, I've posted my latest TRON rendering over at TRON-Sector. I thought it'd be just as easy to point you there as post them here: http://www.tron-sector.com/forums/default....o=top&id=268618 Feel free to make comments here or there. If you'd reather me post the pictures here in the future I can do that too if there is interest. Enjoy, Carl
