I'm more then happy to help. I've now got a new personal email address. It's choff at bellsouth dot net. However I've been very busy with work since the first of the year and I think it's likely to stay that way for a while. So I'll be a little slow. Just let me know what you want and I can try to photograph a few kits each weekend or something. Carl D'Stance instructions are here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=92 And no I don't have this kit. Atleast not yet.

Thanks for the update and info Ken. Carl -
Let me know if this is large enough for you to read. http://www.wwwmwww.com/pics/LTransR2.jpg If so I'd like to know what it says myself. If not I can take some more pictures. Enjoy, Carl

Thanks. I'm doing good. I'm employed again, which I wasn't when I started this thread last Feburary. Carl

Yes... I do. But at the moment I have no idea when. I sometimes call this hobby "planning for retirement". With 2 boys and a job that can keep me busy 11 hours a day 5 or 6 days a week I don't have much free time these days. Carl

I second that motion. Carl

Will do. I need to check with Noel and see if he has a guestimated ship date yet. I'm eager to here about any Rook news too. Carl

Just wanted to post the picture here incase it goes away after the auction closes. It certainly caught my interest. It's just a little more then I think I want to pay for it. If the rest of my Hasegawa collection were complete I'd jump on this. Carl

Thanks for the pictures. Carl

WOW!!! Very nice. May I ask who's making this kit? Is it the same group that made the Gerwalk conversion kit this past summer who's name escapes me at the moment? Carl

Well I'm still not sure what this is. Should I at this point? Looks cool, Carl

The model that started it all... Starcruiser 1
wwwmwww replied to wwwmwww's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Wow!!! It's so cool that so many of you used to have this model too. The ONLY one I ever remembered seeing in my youth was the one I had. I expected this hunt for a 25 year old kit to be a lost cause. Based on some of the information I've come across since yesterday it sounds like this kit isn't really that uncommon to come across. I'll have to keep my eyes on eBay. I'll see if I can get one with the UK box art to go with the US box I already have. -

Ok... for you I won't sign this one. I'm just used to signing my posts. I think the anonymity the internet offers tends to get people in trouble. When you start saying things on line that you aren't willing to put your name behind or say to your neighbors face the conversation can go down hill rather fast. Just my two cents... -

I wonder if this means there are two different pieces of box artwork out there for this kit. My box doesn't fit this description. Carl P.S. I guess that's what this is: -

I found where you found that. http://www.darkstar2.demon.co.uk/models/an...htm#STARCRUISER Thanks for all the info guys. Anyone familiar with the "Look-In" magazine? I'd be interested in reading that story concept. Also I'd LOVE to see the prototype that was on display "in the Blackpool exhibition for some years". Oh I hope there are some pictures of that floating around out there some place. What are the odds of that prototype ever making it's way to eBay? I'd doubt it still exists but I'd love to be proven wrong. Carl -

I don't know why I didn't do this first. I just took a look at eBay and didn't expect to see anything. What are the odds of finding a particular 25 year old snap together kit on eBay at any given time. I was thinking about ZERO. And despite being correct I certainly shocked myself when I spotted this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=5946285012 I'd much rather have the kit itself but I'll have to think about this display. It looks cool. If someone here would rather have the display just let me know and I'll pass. At the auction it says "This is a 1979 US Airfix Starcruiser 1 space ship from one of the Gerry Anderson Science Fiction shows." I take it this is the Gerry Anderson being talked about: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0026755/ He's the creator of Space 1999 and many other Science Fiction shows but to my knowledge I haven't seen this particular model in any of these series but I'm sure there is many of them that I haven't seen. Hello Everyone, Here is something I wanted to share. This is a picture of the box that the very first model I ever REALLY loved came in. I came across this while I was at my parents for Christmas. They gave this to me for Christmas back in 1979 or 1980 and I played with it till it fell apart. All I have left is the box. I filed it away with the intent of looking for another later. I probably waited to long to dig this out again but if any of you guys knows where to get one of these let me know. Either way I wanted to share. I still think this was one very cool kit. Aside from that I don't know much about it. Is this thing from a TV series or Movie? Were there any other kits made to go with this one? Enjoy, Carl
-
The only other pictures of that completed kit I know of are here: http://web.archive.org/web/20000123005302/...ti/OFF_JAC.html The base kit is just a normal super VF-1 and it is variable. There was a seperate kit called "The Movie Fast Pack" needed to make this variation. I have both kits but they aren't assembled. If you'd like I could take a picture of the kits for you. Enjoy, Carl

Wow!!! Thanks for the pictures. L-Trans-R made this little 1:144 scale kit some time ago. Enjoy, Carl

The Official Yamato VB-6 Monster Thread
wwwmwww replied to Montarvillois's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Wow... I've heard several sides of this story. I must admit not all are in agreement. According to one source Yamato fired several people over leaks here at Macross World. According to another, people were just moved around withing the company to close the leaks. Both seem to agree that with the new president came a new philosophy regarding proprietary information and that intentional steps were taken to put a stop to leaks here at Macross World. I've long been curious to hear your side of the story but I hadn't really wanted to push the issue as I more or less viewed it as non of my business. I'm not happy with Yamato's current stance toward Macross World. It's apparently been singled out and people like IHP aka Liquid Stone that might want to have a presence here can't because they are employed by Yamato. I don't really understand that stance, but at the same time I do understand Yamato's desire to protect it's proprietary information. I just think there should be a better way to do it. But again who am I to have a right to tell them how they conduct their business. In the end, I vote like the rest of you. I buy their products or I don't. As curious as I am to hear your side of things are you sure it's wise to share these "juicy pics" and details publically? If Yamato is firing people over this I personally don't want that info at the cost of someone's livelihood. Also I'd make sure you weren't opening yourself up to some legal action. Maybe you should just email me the "juicy pics" and details... Carl -

I've heard that this YF-19 will be sold as a "completed resin model". I assume this means it will be finished like the kits SHE currently sells. Even better for those artistically challenged. Carl
