  1. Why does pic 1 have a different valk in the Gbp-1s armor then then other pics? Is the first pic of the Astrobit City display and the other 3 of the Volks display or vice versa? Carl
  2. I've got most of the polycaps and I don't think any screws. I'll take some more pics of what was included. As to what was originally included I'm not sure. The pics do strike me as a reference telling the owner what he needs to buy. It's gone through two sets of hands before getting to me so I think what I do have may have been added by one or the other of the previous owners. Carl
  3. Can anyone here ask the seller a question in Japanese? I want to know if he's making these himself? If these are a recent kit release (maybe from Wonder Festival) or what? This seller has had these up for atleast a couple weeks and they don't seem to be selling. I notice they all appear to be built though some are unpainted. And where does the Garland stow it's shield while in bike mode? Carl
  4. Nice!!!! You know ALL great Alpha's NEED a Beta.... don't you? And I'll add to the list of people asking for more pics. Keep up the great work! Carl
  5. Running the text of the auction through Babel Fish gives me: Aside from being almost impossible to read even in English it doesn't tell me all that much. And even what I make out doesn't make sense. How could a 1/144 Hurgund be 12.5cm? At full scale that makes the Hurgund 59 feet tall (or long). Carl
  6. Hello Guys and Gals, Here are some picks I took off Yahoo Japan while Macross World was down. Is this a new variable Hurgund? It seems to be made by the same people making this Garland. The reason I say that is I found this pic of the two of them together. So my question is... who's making these? The only variable Hurgund that I'm aware of is the 1/20 Kip Resin kit shown in the first post of this thread: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=5721 And I don't think that is what this is. The Kip kits are very rare and I've seen them sell from anywhere from $200 to better then $800 a kit. This Hurgund is under $100 and it hasn't been selling as I still see it on Yahoo Japan. http://page10.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/m32896458 I'm not even sure if its a resin kit. Maybe these are toy prototypes. Anyone know the story behind these? Thanks, Carl
  7. Thanks xstoys. And thanks for all the hard work getting us back up Shawn and crew. Here are some scans I've been wanting to post for a while now. http://www.wwwmwww.com/DStance/BoxArt.png http://www.wwwmwww.com/DStance/Page1.png http://www.wwwmwww.com/DStance/Page2.png http://www.wwwmwww.com/DStance/Page3.png http://www.wwwmwww.com/DStance/Page4.png http://www.wwwmwww.com/DStance/Page5.png Enjoy, Carl
  8. Is he the guy that claims to have 100 of so of every Yamato 1:48 ever made. I saw that post a while back. He never did back that up with pictures did he? I just don't know what to think of that... is he generally believed around here? I tend to think if he could afford to get 1000+ Yamatos into that warehouse he sould be able to get 1 camera in there too. Oh I'll propably need to lay low for a while to keep the wife happy. Something I'd like to get eventually is the SWITCHBLADE 1:100 YF-19 1:100 but I've passed on it before and haven't actively been looking for it. http://www.geocities.com/regult/wonderfest8.html I'd also like to someday get a complete set of ALL (including event only) Hasegawa macross kits. I was keeping up with this till TI laid me off and I haven't picked the ball back up yet. Carl
  9. He's got a girl in his life now if you are wondering what happened to him. Though he tells me she is very supportive and trying to encouage him to get back into MacrossWorld. I sure hope he does... Carl
  10. That would be my guess as well. I think they tought the fighter mode would look too short if they followed the lineart exactly. Carl
  11. Thanks Shawn... anything to pull you into the forums. We miss having you around. And yes 3 years sounds about right for the really active hunting. D'Stance released it 4 years ago but for about a year I had hopes of getting one direct from them which is why I didn't pursue Noel's auction any more then I did. I don't recall when D'Stance first put up their website but it was before the Summer Wonder Fest in 2002 so I've been really wanting to get one of these in my hands for 4+ years now. Here is what's left of their initial home page: http://web.archive.org/web/20021005204741/...sshy/index.html Note the link to MacrossWorld at the bottom. Carl
  12. Now that's not a bad idea... Does WM Cheng do commission work? Carl
  13. I do love to share but I'm not jumping in that boat again... atleast not now. The last time I tried that was with an IHP kit after I had thought they'd given up only to later find out they'd become Liquid Stone. So I got burned in the process and I may have burned all of you too as I haven't seen any Macross kits come out of IHP or Liquid Stone since their last YF-19 and I don't want a repeat of that. Sorry... Carl
  14. In practice that's more true then I'd like... at least currently. I enjoy building kits and I want to build them all eventually I just don't have time to get back into that mode at the moment. I've half heartedly made the comment I view this as planning for retirement in the past but I truely hope it doesn't take that long for me to get to building some of these. So I have no immediate plans for the kit aside from maybe sharing it with Yamato if they are interested. When I do build it I'll seriously think about recasting it for my own personal use. I'd much rather mess up a copy then this original considering what I paid for it. Carl
  15. The below quote contains the info I was trying to remember in my first post above. To my knowledge D'Stance ONLY sold this kit at the Summer 2002 Wonder Fest and I don't think they've had a booth at any event since. Also the second link in the quote will take you to scans of the instructions that come with the kit that several of you are asking about. These are scans Noel made for me from this very kit after he had sold it on eBay. If you still want larger ones I can make them this weekend. Carl
  16. I'm actually not opposed to that idea. I'd like it back after Yamato was done examining it but I doubt that would be the only problem. Could Yamato legally reverse engineer this D'Stance kit without paying or giving some credit to D'Stance? This is a licenced kit so I'd think D'Stance has a right to some compensation sould it be copied. I don't view it as that different from someone selling recasts which wouldn't be legal in Japan. So... if Yamato wanted to examine this model wouldn't it be better for them to deal directly with D'Stance? I've been in indirect contact with them several times before so they aren't really all that hard to contact. The email address on the box was still good the last time I had someone contact them for me so it's probably still good. They don't reply to emails asking for them to sell this kit outside an event and I don't think I've ever gotten them to reply to an email that wasn't in Japanese either but I sure bet they'd be happy to hear from Yamato. I believe Seiichi, Masato Shono, and maybe Noel have all been in direct contact with D'Stance for me at one time or another. If they can do it I'm sure Yamato can find them. Graham, if Yamato would like to see my kit PLEASE let me know. And doing some digging for this post I found this thread: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=16095 Looks like it took just under a year to get this one in my hands after I'd found it again. Carl
  17. Thanks rkiyo and everyone. Its been a long road getting here that is for sure. Carl
  18. Should that say "From the MacrossWorld team of Jedi Knight & hellohikaru"? If not what is MacrossWold? Carl
  19. For a change I have something I want to say and can not. At least not yet. I really do hope to be able to share my news soon though. Carl 421961[/snapback] My secret is out... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=20048 Enjoy, Carl
  20. Look what I got in the mail today... The box it was shipped in is sitting just below so you can see the date it was shipped and you should even be able to tell what city it was shipped from. I've been after this kit longer then any other and I've paid more for this chunk of resin then any other too. I was afraid to say too much before I had it in my hands as I didn't want this to fall through my fingers. I've NEVER seen one of these on Yahoo Japan though I must admit I don't have the time to keep up with Yahoo Japan that I used to so its possible I've missed some. Noel sold one on eBay years ago and that's the only time I've seen this kit on eBay. This kit is that very same kit and its taken a very long time to track down again. I don't have the fast pack parts but to my knowledge D'Stance only had one offering of this kit. I now can't think of which event it was but I think I have that recorded someplace. Anyways, D'Stance made the fast pack parts AFTER that release and to my knowledge they never did release the fast pack parts. I'd LOVE to be proven wrong though. I'll post some more pics this weekend when I have some more time... Enjoy... I sure enjoyed the hunt for this one... Carl
  21. Ok... curiosity got the better of me and I just tried to pull up topic 1. I didn't get very far but here is topic 2. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=2 Some things just never change... LOL!!! Carl
  22. There are still here. I posted them back in topic 92. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=92 I see this tread is topic 19382. Boy, that has been a while ago. Carl
  23. Where would one find the best info on the VF-9 transformation? I've seen pics of it in the 3 modes but I don't think I've ever seen much detail on how it transforms. Are there any videos of the transformation out there? Just curious, Carl
  24. There is this Studio Half-Eye model... Carl
  25. You might want to look in the magazine section. I found this: Granted its not a much bigger picture and it has the fast pack on it. I have this magazine but I'm not sure I've seen it since my last move. If this is what you are after I can try to locate it and get a larger scan for you. Let me know... Carl
