  1. Agreed the instruction making process usually isn't part of the building process. That is unless you build it with some software program to begin with, which I have seen done. However some builders do go back after they are done and have something they are happy with and make instructions at that point. Granted the builders that I have seen do that typically then start selling those instructions on eBay or something similiar. In this case, I WISH GlaGla had done just that as I would have jumped at the chance to make one of these. That said... I'm 99.9% sure no instructions exist for this model yet. I'll play a roll in changing that if I can. Carl
  2. Exactly what I was thinking. At the moment I'm on the hunt to locate all the pictures of it that I can. Step 2 will be to try and contact the maker, GlaGla, and see if he'd be willing to offer instructions or maybe sell the original if it still exists. If I had the original I'd do all I could to make 100% accurate instructions. If step two doesn't pan out, for my step 3 I would like to try and reverse engineer this bad boy but I'm not that familiar with the Lego programs that are available so that will take some time. If anyone wants to take a shot at step 3 before I get there PLEASE do. All the pictures I have are already here and if I come across any more they will be here in short order. Carl
  3. Thank Bryce. There are a few pictures above that you don't have over at MechaHub yet. Feel free to grab them if you like. I've now started this thread: http://outsidethebrick.com/forums//index.php?showtopic=891 So we'll see if they can help. Still waiting on the confirmation e-mail from lugnut. And if there are any lego fans here that can send an email in Japanese please PM me. I have a few contacts that I could use to send an email in Japanese already but it might help if the person was also up on lego terminology. It's probably not necessary so if I don't hear from someone in the next day or so I'll go though one of my more normal channels. If that lead pans out I'll share the results here. Thanks, Carl
  4. I think you are correct. But I'd love to contact GlaGla... maybe he could be talked into making instructions for this model. If the model still exists maybe he'd be willing to sell it. If so I'd take a shot at making instructions provided GlaGla didn't object. If nothing else maybe he'd be willing to share more pictures of this wonderful creation. Anyone know why he removed his Brickshelf account? I've already emailed Marcus Clancy, their Gallery Administration guy, but so far haven't gotten a reply. I don't see a forum at that site. Do you know anyone in particular at that site that I should check with? Well this post jumped out. http://news.lugnet.com/build/mecha/?n=14364 So I've now emailed Bryce. I'm now waiting on a confirmation e-mail and I'll try posting an inquary in this mecha section as well. I'm not 100% sure how to do that at the moment but maybe the confirmation e-mail will tell me how to make posts. I've also signed up over at outsidethebrick.com and I'll probably be posting an inquary in their forums soon. Thanks, Carl
  5. Believe me I'd give a very pretty penny for those as well. This model was made by Gla Gla. I'm not sure if that's an individuals name or what but he apparently did post instructions for some of his models. That hunt actually lead me back to MacrossWorld. Here: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?show...mp;#entry361346 Where Jason Leinen (JELEINEN) posted the instruction to the Gla Gla armature. Which I assume are the same as those seen here: http://mechahub.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=4755 If anyone here knows how to contact Gla Gla please let me know. Carl
  6. I got some better images of the other cars to share. Enjoy and Happy New Year, Carl
  7. Ok... one more pass with the way back machine and I was able to find these: The file I'm looking for is this one: http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Glagla/VB-6/2.gerwalk.jpg Its should look like a larger version of the image in the lower left of the top image above but it looks like the way back machine saved all the images except this one. I wonder why. Here are the new images I found at mechahub.com: Enjoy, Carl
  8. I just found this link. http://mechahub.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=4711 It has several pictures I don't have that appear to have been taken at some sort of event. Any idea what event this might have been? Still looking for the gerwalk picture from the front on the black background. Carl
  9. I did some more hunting with the way back machine and found these: I'm still missing the gerwalk picture from the front and that might be it but I thought there were also some mid transformation pics as well. Anyone... Anyone... Happy New Year!!! Carl
  10. badboy00z started a thread here: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=24531 Which reminded me of this Lego König Monster and I didn't want to totally hijack his thread so I'm starting this one. There were several threads on this lego model here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=13591 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=13158 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=8294 But sadly most of the links to pictures are now broken. The only picture I could find which showed gerwalk mode was this one. By any chance did anyone here save the other half dozen or so pictures of this model when they were hosted on brickshelf? Thanks, Carl
  11. Here is a paint scheme I wish Yamato would consider for down the road... Carl
  12. wwwmwww

    LEGO CAD.

Nice. I'll have to look into this. This thread reminds me on one of my all time favorite Lego models. I did some hunting for the gerwalk picture but all I could find was this: Anyone else have the gerwalk pic? There are several old threads about this lego model here: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=13591 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=13158 http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=8294 Sadly, most of the links to pictures are broken. Carl
  13. Anyone else notice it looks like they will be introducing the Mach 6 in this movie? Hot Wheels already has the Mach 5 out. And it looks like the Mach 6 is soon to follow. It's the bottom car in this sample 3 pack. Looking at the back of this other sample also found on eBay... We see that it is in fact called the Mach 6. Carl
  14. Well here is the info that I have... 34 episodes were aired in Japan in 1997 on TV Toyko. I’ve read that 37 episodes were made of the planned 52 episodes. 12 episodes were dubbed by DiC Entertainment and aired on Nickelodeon in 2002 as “Speed Racer X”. There is also one episode in English on this: http://www.amazon.com/Speed-Racer-Ultimate...n/dp/B000G1GGH4 Where it is called “Speed Racer Y2K”. You may also want to check out my 2 YouTube videos. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=wwwmwww Neither the original 1997 Mach GoGoGo series nor any of the Speed Racer versions made from it have been released on DVD. However I was able to get the US-televised episodes of the 2002 series on 3 dvds from this site: http://www.warlockvideos.com/ They aren't listed on the site but email them and I think they should be able to help you. I've also had a few contacts that taped a few episodes directly off TV Toyko so I think I have 4 episodes as they were originally aired in Japanese. I'd LOVE to get all 34 (or 37) but that's all I've been able to find at the moment. There is some more info on the series here. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encycloped...ime.php?id=1445 Carl
  15. Not yet but that is an excellent idea. I'll zip him an email now. Thanks, Carl
  16. I wasn't aware Tatsunoko claimed to own a piece of Macross. Anyways... here is another picture of that chrome Mach 5: So anyone know where I might find a Tatsunoko or Tomy expert? Maybe another Forum someone can point me to? I'd still like to verify some of the information above. Thanks, Carl
  17. This is a long shot but here goes: (1) Anyone here have any contacts at Tatsunoko Production? These are the people that made Mospeada and Mach GoGoGo (aka Speed Racer) to name just a few. There web site is here http://www.tatsunoko.co.jp/. I'd love to ask someone there a few questions. (2) Anyone here been to the Tatusnoko Museum in Tokyo? I've been told there is an item in that Museum that I'd love to see a photo of. I think this is the web site of the museum's gift shop. http://www.tatsunoko.co.jp/Shop/Shop_Museum.html This is related to the chrome Mach 5 I was looking for here: http://macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=24089 I've been told this car was never for-sale. They were only given out in a lottery to promote the 1997 Mach GoGoGo remake. And to even enter the lottery one had to collect a complete series of cards and mail them into Tomy. My source of this info recalls an article in a magazine that detailed this lottery/promotion and had a photo of the chrome car and stated one was on display at the Tatsunoko Museum. Unfortunately he doesn't remember the name of the magazine. So in short I've be really interested if I could verify any of the above. If Tatsunoko were to run such a promotion anyone have an idea which magazine they'd likely use? If anyone has been to the Tatusnoko Museum I'd love to know if this car was there. And heck, I'd love to see any pictures they might have taken while they were there. One of these days I'll have to make it there myself. I wonder if they have any of the unreleased Mospeada toys. Thanks for any help anyone can offer, Carl
  18. Very very interesting. Thanks for following up and posting the scans. Carl
  19. Hello Guys, Aside from resin kit collecting I've also been collecting the 1:64 Speed Racer diecast cars. Anyways, I've been asking around on some of the diecast collecting forums for some help and haven't had much luck yet so I wanted to give my friends at Macross world a try. The top two cars in this picture are mine. However I just learned there is a third car in this set. It looks like a chrome Mach 5 seen in the lower left. Anyone know where to get their hands on one? I do... there is one here: http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/107552225 But its part of a lot the seller is trying to get 525,000 yen (or about $4550) for. I honestly don't see how he comes up with that figure. Bable Fish translates the description as: So that's about useless. Anyways I'm about 99.9% sure he's not going to be able to sell this at the price he is asking and I'd like to contact the seller and ask how much he'd sell the chrome Mach 5 for by itself. Is that something any of the Yahoo Japan auction services would help me with? Could someone here help me with that? Any other ideas or suggestions? Here are some pictures I took of my collection back on the 24th. They were quick and dirty and the flash was just too much. I need to take them outside on a bright but overcast day and see if I can get better pictures without so much glare. In the order I just happened to take the pictures in... http://wwwmwww.com/Speed/Oct24%20004.JPG These are the limited edition 2 packs. http://wwwmwww.com/Speed/Oct24%20005.JPG These are my 6 mach 4s. http://wwwmwww.com/Speed/Oct24%20006.JPG The three 2000 mach 5s. The above pics are pretty big as they are strait off my camera so I'm posting them as links.
  20. Sounds like you are moving up in the world. Congrats!! I sure hope you find some free time to make it back to this project sometime though. This project had so much potential and it looks like you had alot of fun with it. Seriously... you should atleast ask. If they come up a few bucks short I'm sure a few of us would be willing to pitch in. I certainly would. Thank you very much. I really enjoyed that. Carl
  21. Too cool. Now how did you find that? Can you find any more? Carl
  22. Very nice... but I have a question. It looks like a shadow of the wing but I thought you took all the shadows out. Carl
  23. I'm sorry to hear that. What you have there is a real treasure. Its so easy for a few rotten apples to ruin the basket for everyone. I hope you are able to push on and find a way to share the fruits of all the hard work you've put into this. I can assure you true fans will appreciate it. Carl
  24. Could someone post a side by side pic of the rough concept VF-14 and the "true" VF-14 from M3? Not having M3 the video game I'm getting confused. Are the kits I posted pictures of above the rough concept VF-14 or the "true" VF-14? Thanks, Carl
  25. Please don't forget to post those pics. I'm really eager to this prototype Legioss you are talking about. Thanks, Carl
