With the YF-21 and VF-11 being the cream of the crops for the Mac + lines, I was wondering how many other Macrossworld fans feel a little disappointed with the YF-19. It seems that in both scale cases, the YF-19 was the first model out, only to show it's age quite quickly when in comparison to the other Mac + valks. It got me thinking, is there even a demand for a v2.0 YF-19 and if so, what are some things you wish to see changed or added.

I got in contact with them on 4/12/09 and this is their response: Sir Thank you for your enqiury. Sorry for the trouble we are having trouble with our SSL and can't take orders at the present. There are no problems with anything else and the problem should be cleared soon. Regards OverDrive Info <info@over-drive-inc.com> I would imagine it's going to be fixed sometime soon.

Hi all, Anyone know if the new batch of Yamato 1:60 YF-19s at HLJ.com are with straight gunpods and landing gear? Thanks!
-
Cool, thanks for the tips!

Hi all, I was looking through my valks today, and I noticed that on some of my VF-1s, the corner of the stickers I applied are starting to peel off. Is there anything I can do to make them stick flush again to the valk? Will micro sol or something similar help out? Thanks for your input!

Ah, I remember a time when something like this: had us united in garnering only "oohs" and "ahs" ...and now look at us, fighting amongst ourselves. **By the way, thanks goes out to Graham for this pic. -

I know this might not be the thread to say it in, but do you think he might possibly (and hopefully) be referring to a 1:60 VF-11? I mean, we already know the fighter mode looks gorgeous on the YF-21 via pics, right? And the VF-11 did have some pretty "complex" transformations with the 1:72 scale. Just doing my part to stir the pot -

Anybody else notice in the 2nd picture the small vf-1's and yf-19 in the bottom right corner of the photo? Anyone know what these are? -

So, with the end of the year only 3 months away, it's hard to imagine no one's got anymore info on this hot bird.

Aaannnddd...it's gone again.

I'm glad everything worked out for you, SuperHobo. Congrats on your new YF-19 and enjoy!!!

The only thing I can say is instead of only complaining about something being broken, is to do something to fix it! Contact the distributor, and if that doesn't work contact Yamato directly. Stand up for yourself!! The people who only complain on and on and never do anything to solve it are really only looking to ruffle another's feathers. Don't waste your energy arguing with them. It's better to use that time and energy contacting someone who can fix your toy. It worked for me.

After speaking with them, I made sure that shipping would be covered on their part. No way in hell I'd be paying $30+ for shipping on something they screwed up on. And I'm with you BoB, I mean, how hard will it be to include something as remedial as batteries on a toy that's costing this much
-
Thank you! It was definitely worth a shot to explain my situation to them
-
Wow, after being polite and telling them what was wrong, Yamato gave me the choice to either have them put in the replacement part or exchange my whole toy for a new one. I decided to do the latter and return mine for a brand spankin' new YF-19 w/fast packs! Power to the consumer!

So get this, I contact HLJ to try and obtain parts for the YF-19 that was damaged ON YAMATO'S BEHALF. This is what they said: - My Email - To whom it may concern: Hello, my name is Ken Sitar (Customer ID unknown) and I'm a returning customer. When I opened my package, I saw that there was a part that was damaged. Therefore, I would like to order parts for the following: Manufacturer: Yamato Scale: 1/60 Name of Kit: YF-19 w/fold booster + Fast Pack Parts List #: N-1 (Description: Nosecose/Neck/Fuselage part) Quantity: 1 If possible, can you inspect the part to confirm there aren't any flaws or stress marks? Thank you in advance and if there's any more information you require, please email me back. Sincerely, Ken Sitar - HLJ Reply - Reply to all Reply to allForward Forward Print Add Takayuki to Contacts list Delete this message Report phishing Show original Message text garbled? Takayuki Oishi <oishi@hlj.com> Dear Sir/Madam; Yamato has contacted us about your parts order. Unfortunately,YF-19 parts from your parts order is not available. We are sorry we cannot help you get it. Best regards, Takayuki Oishi Customer Service Representive www.hlj.com What kind of BS is this? I'm contacting Yamato tomorrow and demanding that they give me the part that THEY damaged. I tried to defend them in the past, but after this kind of shabby treatment, no more. I believe there should be a relationship between customer and supplier that should be respected. After reading how Yamato's not providing a part they damaged, I can honestly say that unless their customer service can provide me that part, I'm swearing off Yamato's for good. And I'm informing all my friends the same. BoB, your side's looking a lot more enticing now.

Strangely, my YF-19 FP came in a great conditioned box. I got it from HLJ, whom I've yet to experience any problems with. I believe this is a production problem, because the box was in great condition as well as the plastic inside. The only thing that was damaged it seems, is the actual toy. The outside shipping box it came in was also in great condition. As for any excess of glue, the joint seems to move smoothly, without any stickiness or additional resistance. By the way, thank you all for your sorrows concerning this. It's reassuring to know there are others who understand where I'm coming from.

Here's the pics of my YF-19 Fast Pack with stress marks. Has anyone experienced the same? Also, this has NEVER been transformed, this is how it came.

Here's the pics of my YF-19 Fast Pack with stress marks (this has NEVER been transformed, this is how it came). Has anyone experienced the same? I plan on calling Yamato on Monday to voice my disappointment on this, as well as the shoddy shoulders on the vf-0s. Hopefully, they'll do the honorable thing and replace my part(s). As soon as I get a chance, I'll let you know what they said.

I just received my YF-19 Fast pack, and I looked over the toy. To my horror, I saw stress marks on the OUTSIDE of the neck/fuselage section (right below the canards, where it fits into the battroid chest section). I'm so peeved because I spent over $200 on this and now I've got to order the entire nose/fuselage/neck section. Really, this is starting to become ridiculous! I'm going to contact them directly on Monday to voice my opinion and disappointment. I found out their customer service number is 03(3526)6080 - so if any of you are also proficient in Japanese and had a problem, I suggest giving them a call as well. The more people that complain, hopefully the more they'll rectify their problems.

Thanks so much to everyone for their insight. I'd hate to see my Yamatos yellow considering how much they cost.

Thanks David, and I know what you mean with the SNES analogy. Mine's is looking pretty funky after sitting in the basement. I just hope the Yamatos don't go through the same process.
