For those who ordered through BBTS: Hello Ken! Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your orders. I would be happy to help and explain. We are not able to do any quality control inspections of the items included within the manufacturer packaging of an item. The manufacturer has their own process of QC in their facilities that we have to abide by as a retailer. However, should you receive a damaged item, please do not hesitate to reach out to us via email and would be happy to see how we might be able to assist you with that issue. Each case is different and there is not a set way of assisting customers, but we will be sure to bring your case to our team to find the best resolution should the need arise. I wonder if the reason for the difference in pricing between the YF-19 reissue and the YF-21 is the costs of making a new mold/design/engineering. Whereas the YF-19 is a reissue from a prior mold.

I have both as well and the YF-19 just feels more solid and stable. The plastic feels like it's a higher quality as well

Anyone tried floor polish on the wing hinge to see if it made it stiffer?

Same here, I've been a loyal HLJ customer and they're customer service has always been great. In my experience, they communicate very well and even when the whole debacle happened with the secured site for the vf-19, they kept me informed of what happened and apologized repeatedly. Ami Ami, however the fact they have stock for items, have been a nightmare for me. From returns for faulty items to cancellations, the final straw came I had a vf-19 in my basket when preorders opened, and when I tried to checkout, found out my basket was picked. Their response was a "sorry, this happens" - ever since then, I refused to give them my business (which just means one more person has a better chance of getting what they want from them).

I remember that too! I had to go through my comic book store to place the order because you couldn't anywhere else. Then the news came that it was canceled

I canceled my order a while ago. The grayish-blue was what made me pre-order it, until I saw that they went the route of navy blue. Pass.

It was disappointing to say the least, I think it'll be a while before I use them again (HLJ and NY were always good to me).
