Your most recent Macross or toy purchase! General thread.

Haha, yeah I'm going through the same thing right now. Just talked to my mechanic/friend about some choices I need to make on my cars and he even told me this is a different time and I have different priorities these days. Still, there is no way I am giving up my S4 and when I make purchase choices, I make them for life. They are all part of my "collection". Yeah, I have mental issues but I'm a collector (hoarder). As for the Singer...the thing is pure art. I could just hang any piece of it on a wall and get my money's worth of pleasure from it. But...I don't have that kind of money, lol! -

Yeah, I'd love a 22B but I'm kinda over it with my current Stable (B5 S4 w/ RS4 widebody conversion and MKV R32). My all-time dream car would be a 959 but I'd "settle" for a Singer. -

Lol, those trees were fast! Haha, I had a FWD Talon. I’d say the overall car quality was garbage but still fun. The AWD versions were seriously the fastest cars in the streets at the time (modded versions) There was one in our neighborhood that would lay waste to everything it came across. -

My favorite from that era were the Supras and RX7s. But I also love the Eclipse/Talon/Laser. Those little things with AWD were wicked! I would say the Subaru 22B but for some reason, I put that in an entirely different category. -
Every two weeks? So that would add up to be about 30 emails too many, imo.

Haha, I’ve tried to explain this concept so many times when I see hoards of people talking about flooding shops (mostly NY) with emails asking about their orders. I just sit back, relax and all my orders come through when they do. Meanwhile, I have plenty of other toys to enjoy

They are addicting but if you already have the Destroids, that's awesome! You gotta have at least one Valk to go with them so you can see how it goes from there.

Haha, you should get some for sure. BUT...the other Mechs in the line are even better!

I've had my HMR valks posed like that with regular Tamashii stands for years and it's fine. It is finicky and you have to balance it all out, but it works. The other thing is HMR are very durable. I've dropped Valks from over 6' high onto hard floors and parts might come off but they go right back on, no breakages.

Arcadia already improved their two main new molds. The 0S in regular and PF form are improved from the earlier 0D and 0A releases. Before the DX VF-1, many people considered the Arcadia 0S the finest Valk in toy form ever made. The 51 already has a solution that they are implementing for any defects. I dunno, it seems like they are trying and doing more than most companies to improve their products. I'm very happy with every Arcadia product I have so far, which is almost all of their releases. My 51 is still on the way so will see how that goes.

Haha, I never once looked at the tiny windows that are clear coated and thought my toy was ruined or not one of the most beautiful and prized pieces in my collection because of it. But maybe that's just me?

Haha yeah, all good! I generally just expect people to do their jobs. If they are incompetent or worse, fraudulent, they don’t deserve my money. In the case of FromJapan and a third party seller, your insurance is basically paying for FromJapan’s insurance or other means of recouping. As a major business, I’m sure they will either get their money back directly from the seller, their own creditors or insurance. Even if you don’t purchase their insurance, I would be surprised if they didn’t go after some compensation for non-delivery of goods they paid for.

I'm pretty sure Arcadia clear coats their PF. I know the SDF-1 definitely mentioned that in the description. Anyways, I will transform mine and I'm not worried about it. I get everyone has different expectations.

Haha, good point! But it all depends on why my item didn't arrive. So far, the only times I've ever had to get anyone involved in returning my money is when the people I purchased from did not even send out the items I paid for and did not respond to refund me. In those cases, absolutely F those disreputable companies.

I read the description and it says their arms are ratcheted. I've had good luck with the Tamashii arms but it takes some finesse. If these arms are ratcheted, they will be a pleasure to use in comparison.

Same here. Some KO companies are starting to make Cell Shaded Transformers. Mafex is the first officially licensed company I can think of to do it for their upcoming Spidey figure http://www.medicomtoy.co.jp/prod/dt/27/1/14450.html -
For me, looking good is looking good. My non-PFs look good, my PFs look good. Together, they all look even better.

I never pay extra for any insurance. That's what credit cards are for. If I ever have to use it and some company wants to ban me for doing so, that's a company I probably wouldn't want to deal with in the future anyways. This would be determined the moment they force me to use my credit card protection.

Haha, I think a lot of us think the same way! I tried to ignore these and didn’t want to have anything to do with them. Then I saw pics of people getting Minmei. I was impressed but brushed it off because it wasn’t the look I preferred. The Hikaru orders opened and I couldn’t resist placing one just to see what was up. Got that and it was over from the moment I opened the box. I was shocked and impressed by the overall presentation and package so much I immediately ordered Misa and shortly after, went ahead and ordered a Valk and Minmei. While I won’t say they are the best figures ever, they are by far the best we’ve ever seen for these characters and you can see that KC put a lot of effort and passion into trying to deliver definitive products that are fan pleasing. I absolutely support KC as a company and would put their effort, passion and service at #1 for a toy company, period. I can’t rate the quality of the figures that high but they are good enough that I prefer no other company, including Bandai with their SHF even attempt to make any and I’d rather just go all in with KC. -
