It’s a combination of what you mentioned but if you look at the grey market thread, you’ll see there are KOs and the DX VF-31 KOs seem to be on the way. Also, there have been KOs of Macross since the beginning and I think if anything, the first time I’ve seen widespread KOs of figures were of Macross. But I think for the most part, Macross is too niche a market for it to be as widespread as we see for Transformers. As for not being able to get genuine MP Transformers, that’s odd. It seems to me to be very easy to choose between getting official and KO with many people, myself included opting for the cheaper KOs in many cases because they are often better, improved, offer different sizing or decos or a combination of all the above.

I haven’t dropped the DX VF-1 but one of my 31s took a violent fall from a bit over 6’ onto hardwood floors. Only thing that happened was I lost the head spike and luckily it came with an extra.

Interesting. I usually read complaints about not being accurate to the source material. Since it is a no win situation for companies that make these things, maybe they should stop? Oh yeah, I forgot they still win because no matter how much people complain, they still pay money to get this stuff to complain about.

I use Flightpose for paintless figures or on unpainted parts of contact. If I need to connect at a painted point, I put some tape over the tips to protect the paint. Overall, I find Flightpose to be a pita because of this and they aren’t always easy to balance your figure in a stable way. I have one Flightpose that I bought before I realized the extra investment in Yetistands was well worth it And one that came with a Calibre Wings model and it can barely hold that without being on the verge of falling at all times. I’ll never buy another Flightpose but they can serve their purpose.

Haha yeah. I'm doing the same and it really doesn't matter to me. Just figured I'd see pitchforks here over it but then again, they aren't called NY. Whatever happens, it is a negative mark to me if they are going back on their already published word. That's the kind of thing that means more to me.

I wonder if anyone else is a bit annoyed that Okiniland had a notice saying that all orders placed before April would be shipped using an available method at no additional charge but now they removed that note and are asking for additional payment to ship orders. They are offering to hold items so it's not a huge deal to me but considering how much people here like to complain, to me going back on your word is worse than just taking a long time to do something or pretty much anything else.

Yeah, I think @ChaoticYeti is still offering stands but I think I read something about a supply issue that would make sense. As for comparable stands, there are none. Yeti stands and by far the best out there.

I ordered a backup SSP and Missile Set from NY too. Will see how that goes but I'm not worried about it at all.

Good thing FJ offers ferry shipping. My SSP packs I ordered through them should be arriving soon.

Best way I've seen is to check for the same item or similar size items at Sahara and they will have shipping prices listed on the product page or give you the price at checkout. You should be able to at least get a decent ballpark or even the exact shipping cost that way.
