Big competitors tonight are the DX Voltes and brand new line featuring the EVA. I will stay focused on my one and only goal.
-
You have the right mindset! FWIW, shipping would be $50 even when all the cheap options are available.
-
Haha Also, NY sucks and no one should even attempt to secure any preorders there.

Easy fix! -
Will grab some on my next run. Always good to have a variety of drinks on hand! My cabinet could be empty by the end of the night too

Oh my bad. I don't have any 1/60 Destroids yet. Gotta change that someday. -

Smart! I typically will not try to hunt for marked up past releases either. Didn't you grab some Yamato Destroids lately? I was thinking about buying some too but I didn't want to pay the shipping for them. -
I don't know, my HMR VF-4 shipped out from NY before most other shops even charged or sent shipment notifications. between your 2 explanations, I'd say the latter is more likely. I don't think anyone would argue that it wouldn't be better if they sent out notices about delays other than even if they did, people would still complain, it would take up more time and resources that they seem to lack and the end result of when you get your item will not change.

Oh man! @Sanity is Optional, your 1/60 collection is getting insane lately! Nice! -
Lol, it's funny that anyone even thinks they are intentionally not sending their orders though. They have just as often or probably more often sent out orders on the day of release than they have delayed shipping for more than a week or so. I seriously doubt any business would purposely sit on product that is already sold and ready to ship. They seem to have a different supply chain that may have to do with them being on a separate island compared to other shops. It's mostly high demand Bandai items or items that are universally delayed by the manufacturer that they seem to have trouble getting out promptly. Don't know and don't really care as long as they deliver though.
-
Haha, if I did they would be out of business already because I would have hoarded and claimed their entire stock for my own collection.
-
Thanks, I'll note it. I'm even more sure I've had it before but definitely on one of those blissful nights of blunder.

Haha yeah, I stock up on different kinds of Woodford because it's easier to get and pretty much my goto standard Bourbon. I don't remember (maybe a good thing?) if I had EH Taylor but thanks for the recommendation! I mainly prefer my peaty Scotch though with that Laguvulin 16 being one of my favorites. I have a stack of Glenfiddich on the top shelf that you can't see in the pick which serves as my "Wodford" of Scotches...something cheaper and easier to get but I still like a lot.

Welcome to the craze! As everyone else said, I will also say to absolutely get the Monster. Price is still decent I think mostly because people are not sure about the price plus hefty shipping charges but it is pricey to buy and ship because it is a literal MONSTER! The thing is basically a SOC level toy but in HMR because it fits perfectly with the rest of the line. While you are at it, get everything else in the line, including non-Macross because it is one of the most fun and complete lines ever made.

So, if you’ve read other comments on it, some people aren’t happy with a few things about it. To me, it came out better than expected and it’s hard to compare with it’s looks since it looks so good so based on that I’d say it feels slightly less good than it looks. The only complaint that I’m not even complaining about on mine is it has very tight shoulders but I know that is an easy fix. Transformation and articulation are all really good. -
Thanks!
-
OK, so if I didn't mention it before, this thing is the mutafrakkin' crap! Transformation went well except I somehow got that hip joint to turn around the wrong way even though it was proper out the box. After some fiddling around, I figured out how it works and got it back to the right orientation. The rest was all good! So, the only thing is mine definitely has tight shoulder joints but that seems to be NBD. Bring on the rest of the crew!

I haven't been able to follow this thread but I finally got the Legioss I've been waiting decades for!...And it's Magnificent, Spectacular, Glorious, All That! I haven't transformed it yet but it feels nice and solid so far. The pilot figure feels delicate but not as bad as I was expecting. I am able to pose it, move it around and do what I want without it crumbling into pieces. The details on the figure are excellent! I checked that hip joint and mine seems to be correctly installed too. Right now, I'm a very happy camper...Next step, transforming and see if I feel the same way.

Nice! Really great to hear it seems they keep improving the tolerances and little details too.

Also got the first Tomica cars I've bought since I was a kid. Pretty sweet but I don't feel like they are as good as the old ones I remember and probably won't buy any more. Unless I find a yellow Countach for cheap. -

That's one hell of a haul! -
Yeah, I use Ferry shipping almost every time I can. Normally, it takes 1-2 months for my stuff to arrive. The last couple orders I got that shipped right around the beginning of the lockdown took 2-3 months.
