I'm getting real tired of people trying to confirm colors over inconsistently calibrated monitors, lighting, photos, etc., etc...
-
Yeah, those kill marks are pointless to me for the main characters. They would run out of room after one battle, especially Max.
-
Haha, it's not too bad and they have great deals on KO and 3P stuff. They are my go to spot for KOs and 3P actually. I always try to buy as close to the source as possible.

Yeah, definitely a good price for what you are getting. I have to problem with KOs but just don't feel like paying more than $100 for any. I'm still waiting for my CF and Angel Bird KOs to arrive.
-
Haha, nice! That probably wouldn’t even be that hard to do.
-
Jeez! You have a walk in freezer you are storing your stuff in?

Haha yeah. I have no idea wtf I’m going to do with it yet so I’m leaving it in the box for now. -

The Castle Grayskull? Yeah, it’s pretty sweet. Better than the main toy sets imo. Ironically, it’s the biggest building block set I’ve ever opened and put together and it’s not even “LEGO”. I do have a bunch of even bigger LEGO sets that have been sitting around in storage though. Edit: I take that back about “a bunch of even bigger LEGO sets”. I just checked and most LEGO sets I have still have lower parts count. Grayskull does include a lot of tiny bricks for the tops and some side parts but the only LEGO set I have that clearly surpasses it in parts count is the UCS MF. -

OK cool! I guess I usually look at it from a different angle. My latest purchase: a glass cabinet to display the family “LEGO” builds. -

Where is that destroyed Sentinel from? Looks kinda like the old Toy Biz base that came with Megneto but not quite the same. -
Excellent choice!

NY! And still at original non-scalper price.

Tube amp huh? Nice?

Another example of way too many factors at play...Who knows? Maybe the sweat of a worker got mixed in with only the plastic that went into that lower left gear door and changed the properties of how the color changed? Not worth the time to figure out to me but again, I'd love to see someone come up with a definitive answer to all this.
-
Haha, cool! Was that one of the Beatles that saved it?
-
Yeah, I just don’t get what the big deal is. Turn up the yellows on your tv next time you watch Macross...there you go, now you have a screen accurate Valk again! Oh wait...most the toy Valks were never screen accurate colors to begin with. Throw them all out!....onto my doorstep.
-
Do it! I’d love to see the definitive answer.
-
Solving problems is great, I agree! The thing is, this is an issue that after decades of people collecting toys, there is no answer. There are simply too many factors.
-
Too many factors and there is still no definite study on all of this. My take is enjoy your toys more, worry less. If your toys get yellow, so what? It’s a color. Now it’s a new color and you get to enjoy the toy all over again as a different color variant.
-
I'm going to say the differences come from brand of bulbs, color temperature and overall specs and quality of them. In order to get better data, you'd want to make as many of those factors equal as possible.

This thread was originally posted in the Toy forum: Who Can Guess What This Is/What It Does? That thread was moved but ever since it was moved the links at the bottom of the threads in the Toy forum always show "NEXT UNREAD TOPIC" as available but when you click it and you've already read all the other actual unread threads, this shows up: Sorry, there is a problem There are no unread content items. Error code: 2S136/J Can this be fixed so that the 'NEXT UNREAD TOPIC" link goes away like it used to? Thank you! Edit: Also a related issue is the Toy forum constantly has the "NEW" tag, indicating there is a new post even when there isn't seemingly because of the moved thread.
