Yeah, I’m in CA, checked all my recently received items, existing preorders and put items in checkout and none have tax charges.

I’ve had a couple orders come in within a week or two. I just tried placing a few orders and none of them showed any tax charge.

Just because one item made by a different company and a different franchise got charged tax doesn’t mean every other item will get charged. Also doesn’t mean it won’t. That’s not how logic works. But logically, every order I’ve made from AJ including several recent shipments did not get taxed so imo, it’s more likely I won’t get taxed on other similar orders. Now, I did hear something about AJ possibly starting to charge tax to US orders at some point but don’t know all the details of where that info came from. If it does happen, I would expect that it wouldn’t apply to existing orders and only on orders after an official announcement.

Yeah, that has to be the exact main set I have many fond memories of playing with as a kid. After I get another certain something shortly, that Strike Pack will be the only other item I would covet to feel complete. Yes, I know the hole goes deep but based on what I already have, I'd be good to go at that point.

Only ordinance worthy is the clip on missiles that some came with. Another accessory I don’t remember much about but I think that same Hikaru Strike came with them?

Yeah, that thing is ridiculously expensive now. I’d take one but I don’t need it more than I need $30.

For me Amazon Shipping has been inconsistently priced. Before the craze, it was usually a flat 1600Y + 600Y per additional item. No matter the size or weight. Since the craze started, I’ve paid less than 1600Y for fairly large items and more than 2000Y for very small items. These are all items sold by AJ, not 3rd party sellers. Either way, I’ve found them to so far be reasonable enough between the price guarantee and the shipping to still be the cheapest or close to within single digit dollars of the cheapest options I can find. Just wish they had more stock or consistent timing and availability of these things.

I'm beyond done and want to move on. Coming from someone who has no stake either way, I think it is discouraging for people who are enthusiastic about doing something for the community to be basically asked to leave before given any time to even gauge some interest. Sure, it could have been done a different way where the thread was made first with a link to it but that's not how natural discussions usually progress and that's not how I would have thought to do it if it were my idea. OK done. Again, I hope to have some more visual guides expressing my love for the 1/55 soon.

Yeah, all good! All I was saying is that I don't think it hurt and I endorse the initial post about any new 1/55 development here. Anything beyond can absolutely be taken to a new thread but again, pointless if no one sees that other thread without generating interest here first.

Great points and I agree...except the part about taking all the conversation to another thread that is not in this Toy section. Again, some people never look in those other sections and they are interested in Toys, which is what all of this is about. Anything that has to do with the love for or "revisiting" the 1/55 should start HERE at this point and then if it needs to move into another thread or its own, then it can. That is how a "discussion" forum should work IMO. Anyways, it's unfortunate that someone who wanted to share something based on their love for these 1/55s had to be discouraged and whatever the case, let's get back to enjoying these wonderful 1/55s however we like.
