  1. I see.. were the transformers surfaces similar to a DX too? Did you need to add a solvent or coating, to get it to survive handling during transformations...

I don't own any DX figures yet. I've used waterslides on painted and unpainted surfaces but nowhere that gets rubbed during transformation so I've had no issues. Just applied them and they look good. Some decals require a coating but I used paper that said no coating required (laser printed). Here are a couple examples of mine (Megatron's chest and Shockwave's arms):

  2. I can say from making my own waterslide decals for Transformers faction symbols, you just buy clear waterslide decal paper (ebay has good deals), print whatever you want, trim and apply. Very easy to do! Only problem is the design and colors may not show up well if they are lighter than the area you apply them on.

  3. I like messer's reaper emblem better than the knight :p

But i was thinking of utilizing what's available, since i don't print decals, although there are services or material out there.

Whether it is difficult to do is a separate question on technique which i have no idea on.

Plus its kinda a method of not relying too much on p-bandai and coming up with the customisations yourself. Imagine getting model kit decals and applying them on the valk. The back of the 31 is like a blank canvas waiting to be decalled ^_^

Do it and post pics! For me, I'll just wait for Bandai to offer the tampoed version.

  4. Finally had a chance to put my wall mount up!

Realized I have the wrong adapter for the 1S but I had the parts needed to get it mounted for now. Again, love these stands! I've been trying to get a wall shelf or something to put in that space but nothing looked or fit right to me. Then I noticed the wall mounts in this thread and been wanting some Yetistands for a while so made the purchase immediately. Couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

  5. Cool. I would love to get Lego figures of an X-Men team but once I start collecting Lego I might not stop.

I must have bought one from their store after you then. They are legit though.

Yeah, Legos are as addicting to collect as anything. I've got boxes full of sets to put together with more on my want list.

What shady store is this mentioned?

Here is my most recent Macross toy, the VF-1S along with a couple others mounted on the wall thanks to Yeti!

  6. I don't understand what she's saying, but the girl in yellow sounds funny. Is she a voice actress? The reactions she makes reminds me of an anime character.

She sounds like someone from Lucky Star to me :D

The way they slowly undressed that 0S...those kinky Japanese :p

  7. Seriously?! Wow very happy i asked. Thanks!

Yeah, only reason I went with them was preorders were sold out at the normal spots and after searching, they were the cheapest I could find. I was iffy about it after reading reviews about them and sure enough, they failed me. Good thing is I was able to find the figure I wanted for less on eBay.

  8. Has anyone purchased from animepoko.com? According to google they have free shipping? Is this true and are they reputable?

I ordered an SHF figure from them and they never delivered or responded to my inquiries about it. Had to open a dispute with PayPal and ended up getting my money back. Needless to say, I don't recommend them.

  9. Then why bother spending your minutes reading the posts here? Go on and guard the VF-31 page over HLJ, then. :diablo:

:D Mostly just kidding but I did check. ;)

Slave IV, I still have an extra VF-31J for you from HLJ if you want it.

I want to talk to you about a few things I may want from you...Thanks!

  10. what's the general consensus on Figma figures? Well made? Worth the price? I'm just now starting to look into some of them like that Mk43 Iron Man and such.

Well, besides all these things being overpriced, given the market, I think they are worth it if you like the design and character you get. I have no interest in MCU style figures since I'm all about the comic designs but as a quality figure, Figma is great. I will say they seem to excel more in natural human look characters, as in not completely armored or robot figures. Doesn't mean they can't do those types, just means they are better than most others when it comes to the face/skin exposed figures.

  11. At this price level, I don't have faith that the sv-262 CF will sell well.

Does that mean there's hope preorders will last a full minute instead of under? ;)

  12. Another challenge for sh9000.....

Recreate that famous SDFM episode where Max is given the mission to clear out a division of Zentradi mecha at Alaska base! One of the top ten episodes for sure!

The most memorable part being Max's customized arctic weather VF-1J with ski attachments! Can't wait for the HMR version...most likely a Tamashii Web exclusive!

I don't remember this at all. Seen the series multiple times in the past 30 years and Max is my favorite. Oh well, great reason to watch it again!
