Still haven't had time to setup my new Macross display. In the meantime, finally picked up this set and my 3 year old daughter put it together for us:

Yep, I'm in no hurry to get anything...If it comes, I want it but otherwise, take your time so I can replenish funds!

I'm looking forward to MHRs from the other series too. Will help me save money by not being as tempted to buy 1/60 versions.

Recreate that famous SDFM episode where Max is given the mission to clear out a division of Zentradi mecha at Alaska base! One of the top ten episodes for sure!

The most memorable part being Max's customized arctic weather VF-1J with ski attachments! Can't wait for the HMR version...most likely a Tamashii Web exclusive!

I don't remember this at all. Seen the series multiple times in the past 30 years and Max is my favorite. Oh well, great reason to watch it again!

I saved money by not buying this and used the money for a HMR VF-1J Milia.

Congrats on your decision and better get one now before the price of the VF-0S goes up ridicolously.

As for the Reactive Armor it will be released sometime next year and not end of this year. So we have time to save more. VF-0 CF on the other hand, no news yet if it's going to get released.

And yeah, good choice on getting a VF-0S. Finest Valk made IMO.

Yeah, I think I need an 0A or another 0S. Just hope I can grab one at a lower price. Did someone say an 0A will be reissued when the reactive armor is released?

Yep. I love this line. It's like having Autobots and Decepticons or GI Joe and Cobra or any other good vs evil line. I have 9 CF's ordered. 8 to open and 1 to keep MISB. MW Convention 2016 man.

I'd army build some 1/60 Q-Raus but I'll wait to see what is offered through HMR.

Yeah, I'm hoping HMR gives us some but just one 1/60 would be nice to have. Especially after I get M&M 1/60's

Man, I really need to get the old Yamato Queadluun-Rau and possibly some of those Milia figures. Prices didn't seem too bad for the Queadluun-Rau but...I'd be willing to pay around $100 for a used one in good condition.

LOL! Okay, no worries then. It's probably just me being oblivious to the other options. I went with NY because it was always easy to go with them, especially when buying the armor/super parts add-ons for the DX-sized Valkyries. Roy's HM-R was the first time I experienced a shipping upcharge on an exclusive and I'm glad to see that there are other options out there.

Also, work started to block NY once they linked to that adult partner store. AE, though, is still navigatable and I like buying MP transformers from them, so I'm thinking of picking up Milia's HM-R there as well.

Gotcha! I juggle around to whatever site gives me the best prices. I like AE but dislike that everything has to be prepaid there. Of course, that doesn't matter in this case since NY requires prepayment for exclusives but it's annoying to give shops free loans all the time.

The reason why is because Millia isn't popular so they aren't going to make as many, therefore she will cost more. When Yamato made the Max and Millia 1J's those suckers sat around on shelves for a good long while.

What really confuses me is...If they are really making less of these exclusives and the preorders stay open for about a month, how are the non exclusives that are being made in larger quantities selling out in seconds? There is no way there is that large of a difference in people preordering. Again, it really seems like the regular releases are the limited exclusives and the TWEs are exclusive only literally in where you can get them from.

I should clarify, I haven't pre-ordered any other Tamashii Exclusives before like the Star Wars or Marvel exclusive figures. I've only bought the Macross exclusives. But I didn't think I would have to be that pedantic...

I still don't get it since the previous Macross exclusives would have had the same process. NBD, I'm not trying to nitpick at you, just genuinely curious.

I don't remember Roy being as widely available as this, but my memory is probably faulty. I also only buy Macross tamashii exclusives, so I'm not used to doing the whole exclusive thing...oh well.

Roy was available for a while because I wasn't going to get it and then cracked sometime much later than the opening date. Someone mentioned these exclusives have a set preorder period and they just keep taking them until production is maxed out.

This is so tough! I have Apollyon, but he is such a fiddly bore to transform he is pretty much a paper weight. Leaning heavily towards DX9, but both of the new 3rd party Megatron's look like so much fun to transform!

I don't think either look anywhere near as good as Apollyon and mine is solid so the only one I'm interested is the possible MP V2. But between MT and DX9, I think MT's looks better overall and the transformation blew me away. Plus, the look is more of a reimagining so I think it gets away with not looking as accurate while DX9's is obviously trying to be more accurate but fails from the neck down. DX9's does have a lovely mug and the arm and leg collapsing is pretty cool.

I've come to realize that all toys are overpriced, even the crappy ones. So if I'm going to collect toys I'm not gonna let something as common as money get in the way of my enjoyment. What it does do is make me want to only collect the higher end stuff because if I'm paying a premium for everything anyway, might as well get the best I can so I totally get the sticking with SOC comment. Right now, HMR is the best and only choice for me to have a collection of varied valks with enemy and supporting mechs to go with them. If it wasn't for the Regults and Glaugs, I wouldn't be collecting this line either.

Yeah, I hate paying up front plus an extra premium but between that and next to no chance of getting the regular releases, I'll take the former. It's like the regular releases are the exclusives, lol.

And registered ECO is only 1640...for the same time frame and insurance/tracking so yeah, not sure why anyone would choose SAL.

How are you buying 2-3 when limit is usually 1 and even then it sells out in seconds?

So, should I sign up for a pbandai proxy service or wait for amiami, cdj, hlj, ny, etc... or they're not gonna have them? I'm so confused...

From what I've seen, NY will definitely get it, AE is probable and HLJ, Amiami will not carry it.
