  1. Yeah, some of my transformer collection got into the shot. The cars in the bottom right are the BinalTech/Alternator line - IMO really close to the best transformer line ever made (right behind Masterpiece).

There is more stuff that is sort of covered up. On the floor, you can see all the bandai stuff stacked on top of some destroid boxes. Well, next to those are many Yamato era 1/60 and 1/48 toys.

My toy collection has grown rather large...that is maybe representative of 1/4 of the stuff I have. I'm simultaneously proud and embarrassed about that fact. :D

Hey, you're a collector! Nothing to be embarrassed about. But part of that may be me trying to justify my entire house plus two storage spaces filled with my collections.

  2. the yellow Autoart C7 Corvette Z06 I have is one of the new plastic/resin builds but its actually really nice! And even though it's not diecast it still has a reasonable weight to it and doesn't look or feel cheap at all. And I think they can make the panel tolerances tighter and sharper with plastic more so than with metal. The Corvette does indeed look superb!

Well, since it's a Corvette plastic is expected. ;)

  3. I want an SDF-1 playset like the one in the old promo pics or something similar. Make it in separate pieces to build with plenty of storage compartments

Yeah, I've been drooling over that display since I saw it. Storage is a big issue for these figures since they come with so many parts that don't all have a place to go at one time. I don't like having to dig through my boxes everytime I want to transform between FIghter/Gerwalk and Battroid modes.

  4. Awesome! Love all the Autoarts and great selections...Aventador, General Lee, McClaren F1, Zonda, 4C are all ones I'd like. I also only own one, the sport quattro and it is very nice but not sure if it's worth much more than the 959 I have that is from another brand (can't remember atm). If the new ones are plastic, that would bother me.

A friend of mine who is really into detailed model planes and cars saw my stuff and pretty much brushed them off :nea:. Said he was into the even more detailed model stuff that is also made of metal and much cheaper. I haven't looked into any of those yet but that sounds like the way to go if you don't mind putting it together.

Oh, and my latest purchase, Firestorm:

  5. RIGHT?! My displays are riddled with extra parts and greebles. The regults work okay for storage, but the monster could have been a good opportunity for a parts storage piece.

Damn, I always complained that the Regult and Glaug have cool detailed, opening cockpits but no way a scaled figure would fit in them. Using that space for storage is something I never thought of, thanks! And yeah, great idea to make storage space inside figures that have space for it.

  6. I was pleasantly surprised when I got my first HMR Valkyrie. I got it mainly because of the enemy mech available to scale with. Not gonna say they are anything close to the level of toy you get with the 1/60s but it's much better than I thought it would be. Only thing is I wish they came with some sort of prop that doubles as storage for the extra parts/partsforming. Something like Tamashii effects buildings, ships or whatever so I have a place to store stuff that also adds to my display.

  7. Nice Autoarts! I'll have to post some pics of mine! Also nice Virgin Road! I was super lucky and got mine back when they were shelf warmers for like $80 along with Max and Millia for about $130 each! Ahh the good old days ehh!

yes please do! im always keen to see what cars others have in their collections!

Haha, yes, more Autoarts or whatever cars you guys have. Mainly so I can enjoy through your pictures and save money not buying more myself, lol. Only problem with that is it usually backfires because I want my own! That GT3 RS is already calling my name, lol.

  8. Nice display.

    Thanks!

yeah yeah I know I shouldn't be spending money on model cars blah blah blah but these were cheap so I couldn't resist! :D

Porsche 997 911 GT3 RS 4.0 by AUTOart.. Never thought very much of these but got it for cheaper than anywhere else listed for sale and the detail/build quality is very good indeed!

1980 Holden Commodore VC SLE (the SLE is the top model luxury version) by Biante..

I usually shy away from buying anything from Biante including these particular Commodore models

as I am skeptical about their build accuracy and quality but after seeing this one in the flesh it actually really impressed me!

The details are many and fantastic! Reclining front seats & sun visors, movable transmission shifter & hand brake, working suspension all round, drive shaft turns when you spin the rear wheels, opening fuel filler door.. just to mention a few.

And at the price I got it for it was just too good to resist!

geez I gotta be careful as I don't wanna catch the model car bug again!:rolleyes:

Very nice! AutoArt makes some great stuff! Here's my favorite from them:

The quattro. Sorry I don't have a better pic.

  9. Gonna be fun. Hope nobody goes livid again on TFW. :p

Lol, I was one of those who was freaking out. :)

It was my first time trying to preorder a DX Figure.

Did that fiasco have something to do with your departure?

  10. Given how fast things sell out and the prevalence of cart jacking, I'd say all of them in multiple browser tabs.

This I was checking 3-4 sites and got screwed on all of them even though I was refreshing right at 4. I think it wasn't until later when a 5th or 6th site opened their orders did I get the 31j. And even then, barely because it was also sold out after my order.

  11. I don't know, it took around 20 minutes for the 31 to finally sell out (yes it did, I pre-orderd mine at minute fifteen) and I'm not at all convinced Keith is any sort of big draw as a character. Maybe just because it's a new, unique Valk, but is that as big a thing for the Japanese (or anyone else on the planet) as it is for we few and insane Macross fanatics?

20 mins! I was hitting F5 constantly and right at 4 pm jst, it stalled for a moment and was sold out by the time it loaded...less than a min. Unless you mean at one of the sites that opened their orders later (which is where I ended up getting one from).
